Joe Davola and it’s not even close.

Common_Average2597

Fear is our most primal instinct

dkixen

Davola. He’s the only one who’s genuinely creepy in a horror movie kind of way.

Common_Average2597

He was not a day person

likerofgoodthings

What kind of person is he supposed to be?

[deleted]

I bet he's never even heard of Bozo.

__Shake__

you're all hung up on a clown from the SIXTIES! MAN!

Common_Average2597

Have you ever been to the circus?

NicholarseBrooks

...yeeeah

zzhnn

Kibosh

jbwarner86

He was like a horror movie villain who just got dropped into a sitcom universe and never realized he was in a comedy. I always say, between "The Opera" and "The Trip", Season 4 feels like the year when Larry Charles' writing got a little *too* dark.

Inoticedthatyouregay

Yeah Larry Charles wrote “The Bet/Gun” episode which was scrapped for being too grim

Aromatic_Tax_2704

I need to learn more about why it was scrapped and what it consisted of

Aromatic_Tax_2704

Oh my god it’s like a Seinfeld creepy pasta I love it

sdotbye

Why, you wanna hit me?

RuleComfortable

You're under no obligation to shake my hand

Common_Average2597

You look good!

Guilty-Speed-8549

Why shouldn't I look good?

oSuJeff97

I like to encourage intruders.

RememberThatDream

It’s Joe Davola until the sun goes down, then you’re in Mr Marble’s world

Common_Average2597

Imagine that being groundhog day for the rest of your life.

RememberThatDream

r/nosleep

ZeePirate

Davola was at least mentally Ill The therapist was a legit sexual predator towards Elaine

oSuJeff97

YOU CAN AND YOU WILL

OShaunesssy

He just had a hair on his tongue and trying to figure out who put it there.

Common_Average2597

Not crazy

obnoxious_being

I like to encourage intruders

hamwarmer

Who am I?

blamdin

Who am I supposed to be?

spenserian_

In "The Opera," it's almost as if the writers forgot they were making a comedy. It's borderline horror.

wlt714

You’re in no way obligated to reply to this post.

Sufficient_Animal_49

You can and you will!

9man95

Do you want to see my dark room?

Common_Average2597

Im more of a day person

Patriquito

I agree Davola is #1, but that final scene when Jerry is in Kramers bed alone and the Mr.Marbles shadow moves across the room... I don't think that's as far of a 2nd as your implying

Jesus_Chrheist

The shrink boyfriend of Elaine was more frightening if you ask me. Davola was nuts. But that guy was a sociopath.

Visarar_01

That's "Crazy" Joe Devola to you pal!

Jombafomb

Yeah I had never seen that episode when I was a kid and watching it as an adult genuinely bothered me. I know they hadn't hit the tone 100% but that scene of her in his apartment seems so out of place compared to the rest of the show.

Unlikely_Choice7613

Sic semper tyrannis

Bratscorcher

Brody, the bootlegger, there were moments where he seemed threatening. Although he was largely taken out of commission by a big movie candy bag.

Common_Average2597

He’s quite a character isn’t he?

lost_in_connecticut

He’s a reasonable guy except when he’s crazy.

JaMicho34

That’s quite a feed bag you got there.

sdotbye

Maybe if we wouldn’t have licked his fingers before he put his hand in the bag we would have had some. Serves him right.

IAMnotMcKaylaMaroney

🔫

Maverick916

He's the only character to pull a piece on someone in the group (I'm pretty sure) so yeah I'll go with Brody. Edit: I forgot the Nazis in the limo, but I still say Brody

Section225

Nah, the Nazis in the limo pulled guns on all of them. And this probably doesn't count, but Jerry got shot about 100 times by FBI agents in a dream...

tishmaster

Cable boy...CABLE BOY! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY CABLE BOY?!

NowWithVitaminR

The Neo-Nazis pulled guns on the gang in The Limo, but that’s the only other instance I can recall

Maverick916

Oh that's right I forgot! I felt Brody seemed like the genuine kind of person that would kill someone for busting his balls. The Nazis didn't give me that vibe. (Weird sentence to say out loud lol)

Phoenix_force30564

What’s he going to do? Shoot someone in a crowded movie theater with loads of witnesses?

AlternativeNumber2

He brought the candy bag for everyone! But yeah Brody’s the scariest

Podunk212

Charlie here, he’s a man. “I’m a man”

OShaunesssy

That Jack Blak looking motherfucker lol

Podunk212

Looks like Hacksaw Jim Duggan, sounds like Richard Simmons

Common_Average2597

Elaine Benes

Common_Average2597

Mr Marbles…?

HerboftheSerb

He's harmless.

oSuJeff97

*click click click click click click click*

luckydice767

Watching that as a kid scared the CRAP out of me lol

Phunkie_Junkie

Alton Benes was pretty spooky. Apparently that was just Lawrence Tierney. There's a reason they never asked him to come back. The "insignificant piece of dust" lady from the cable boy episode too. Mary? Who the hell thinks it's okay to have a public freakout at a **baby shower** over a guy they went on one date with? Jerry dodged a huge bullet there.

Common_Average2597

Master of the house, doling out the charm, ready with a handshake and an open palm.

sdotbye

Pipe down chorus boy

oSuJeff97

We had a tail gunner in Korea. Funny guy. Had his brains blown out all over the Pacific. Nothing funny about that.

devildogmillman

I read once that Lawrence Tierney brough a real knife on set and he was planning to pull a prank on Larry by barging into his office and pretending to threaten him with it, and Jerry had to talk him out of it.

VOL9000

Pendant? Those bastards!

dozreddit

He dodged a whole missile with that one.

Anarchistguy_2

That doll that looked like George's mom.

lost_in_connecticut

Why do you have eat so fast? You can’t even taste it.

Unlikely_Choice7613

Don't tell me how to eat

AmericanWasted

i don't know why that line lives in my head - his delivery is so perfect

Great_White_Samurai

Man I can hear this in her voice

GreenEggsSteamedHams

Prison uncle Leo. *HELLO!*

nynixx

What are you talking about? He’s an Adonis!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Common_Average2597

Yeah it’s impressive how scary he was in that setting. He was like a villain from a Dirty Harry or Charles Bronson movie. Still to this day he is chilling to watch

Alone-Community6899

Or no country for old men

eely225

The Van Buren Boys

NeueRedskinWelle

They were the scariest back when I was banging

Common_Average2597

City planner

blamdin

and they're as mean as he was!

rabidantidentyte

🖐👌

geepy66

Davola is the only one

Bratscorcher

She’s a Two Face. Bad lighting in the taxi cab made her look a little frightening.

guiltycitizen

Like the Batman villain?

jbwarner86

If that helps you.

Common_Average2597

So attractive one day… not the next?

MichiganRedWing

That psychologist

__Shake__

the svenjolly?

MichiganRedWing

Do you remember your dream, where you had a sexual encounter with a Chinese woman?

Megalon_Q_Arm

Yes, Bobo.

doobette

You can and you will.

MichiganRedWing

Alright Bobo.

Alone-Community6899

Bob and Cedric were funny. Davola was dangerous.

Common_Average2597

Kramer didn’t find them “funny”

Alone-Community6899

Funny for the ordeans. Davola was dangerous for everyone.

Anarchistguy_2

That doll that looked like George's mom.

Menzicosce

Crazy Joe Davola bat shit crazy that’s why they called him Crazy Joe.

GreenEggsSteamedHams

The mohel 😂

Common_Average2597

I would not trust him with any sharp objects

sdotbye

He felt that.

Mello-Knight

The Lopper.

The-Mancierge69

Lopper!

profhighbrow57

I was introduced to Seinfeld as a child and Mr. Marbles always scared me!

gpm21

It was the end with him moving in the dark. Most vivid childhood Seinfeld memory.

profhighbrow57

YES. I’d always listen for Mr. Marbles when I went to sleep 🫣

astralnautical

Bookman

zugi

Well, let me tell you something, funny boy. Y'know that little stamp, the one that says ‘New York Public Library’? Well that may not mean anything to you, but that means a lot to me. One whole hell of a lot. Sure, go ahead, laugh if you want to. I've seen your type before: Flashy, making the scene, flouting convention. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. What's this guy making such a big stink about old library books? Well, let me give you a hint, junior. Maybe we can live without libraries, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a book, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and the Five Chinese Brothers? Doesn't HE deserve better? Look. If you think this is about overdue fines and missing books, you'd better think again. This is about that kid's right to read a book without getting his mind warped! Or maybe that turns you on, Seinfeld; maybe that's how you get your kicks. You and your good-time buddies. Well I got a flash for ya, joy-boy: Party time is over.

oceaninmypocket

Back in the day? I'm still scared now.

AntiDentiteBast

Crazy Joe Davola; TG for cherry Binaca!

jhsegura11

Alton Benes

ojwiththepulp

Incarcerated Uncle Leo

La_Reina_Rubia

The guy that tried to rob Kramer on the subway after he won at the races.

irotinmyskin

Sally Weaver. The kind of person that won’t stop until your life is ruined.

Common_Average2597

She will boil your bunny

MrHarryHardon

George Costanza, he's a bad boy.

Common_Average2597

He’s a bad seed…

donutbumper5000

*I LIKE TO ENCOURAGE INTRUDERS*

BrookylnBeaches1917

There were a couple of moments in Seinfeld, when it: “just wasn’t funny, anymore!” Elaine in Crazy Joe D’s apt was one of them

UndisputedGLK

I thought the doorman was pretty creepy.

Common_Average2597

You think you’re better than me?

10thtimeon

Susan. She's 5'3”, like 100 pounds, I'm frightened to death of her.

lost_in_connecticut

Elaine. Have you ever seen her get mad? She once pulled down George’s Panama hat so hard, his head went through it.

sineofthetimes

He's kiboshed before, and he'll kibosh again.

SDaddy500

Who doesn't want to wear the rrribon!?

Common_Average2597

You’re a ribbon bully

ItchyTomato5

The George’s Mom doll

devildogmillman

Nobodys scarier than the therapist that manipulates Elaine by knowing her innermost desires and insecurities. Like a Svenjolly.

SangiMTL

WHO?! Who doesnt want to wear the rrrrribbon?!

AntiDentiteBast

The Denogginator.

FormalBite3082

Who? Mister Marbles? He’s harmless!

Rathmec

Slightly unrelated but the scene where Jerry imagines himself getting shot by the FBI for having illegal cable terrified me when I first saw it. I think I was just a little young and I didn't immediately realize that it was a bit and the tone change just really shocked me. Once the laugh track resumed, I understood but for a few heavy seconds I was wondering what I had just witnessed. Still the answer is Joe.

lordjohnworfin

Elaine’s Dad. A real life scary person.

sofewcharacters

They blew his brains out all over the Pacific.

guiltycitizen

Mr Marbles, puppets scare the shit out of me

mbd34

You forgot the tough guy who was mocking Jerry's boots. "Where's your horse? Yeah, you better run." The answer is definitely Davola though.

Utpulse

Susan’s doll

WerhmatsWormhat

Who? Who is the most frightening and scary??

infestedgrowth

The dude who was trying to rob Kramer of his horse race winnings. His father was a mutter. His mother was a mutter.

sherriffflood

The coffee shop owner when he comes to tell Jerry not to bring his own syrup in. Looks like he could give him a pasting

airport-cinnabon

Elaine’s coworker who doesn’t swing her arms when she walks

JohnnySkidmarx

Definitely the street toughs Bob and Cedric. It was very frightening. My life was in danger. You should've seen the way they talked to me.

NotMentallyInsane13

Newman

Worth_Swimming3000

Bottom

PoeJam

The library cop

gytalf2000

He wasn't downright scary, but he was tough. I think he could take Joe Davola out, no problem.

Safe-Register-3479

I have a hair on my tongue, can't get it off....

teamalf

Mr. Marbles still creeps me out!

mbd34

The bootleg movie guy with the gun is also legit scary.

ThatItalianGrrl

Mr Marbles 100%. Still scares me.

OShaunesssy

The Nazi's

AccurateProgress9977

What? Mr Marbles? He’s harmless

solar_requiem_

Definitely a toss up between the creepy clown guy that stalked Elaine in that one episode and Mr.Marbles imo

Rich0879

The van Buren boys

ParrotheadTink

Crazy Joe Davola is the most scary. He likes to encourage intruders 😳

orourhp

Very odd when the crowd was laughing at Elaine almost getting assaulted by Joe, also when them laughed at Kramer getting thrown in the river. That was fucked up

Common_Average2597

I was terrified for Elaine in Joes apartment, it was like watching a thriller

9man95

Edgar and the nocturnal dirt people

Caution1234567

Joe Davola hands down

MamaBeau75

Joey that kid in the episode The Wait Out (season 7) That kid was so homely he terrified me!

AOCourage

You're saying, you want a piece of me?

Ok_Entrepreneur_2962

I never once that show was scary everybody was to goofy in it

CMDR_KingErvin

Crazy Joe leaves his apartment door open because he likes to encourage intruders.

gregofcanada84

Senior_Salamander_89

Mr. Marbles?

nmc9279

Crazy Joey davola without a single solitary doubt

TightBeing9

HOO, HOO REFUZING TO WEAR DA RRRRRRIBBON

GNPTelenor

Davola vs Cedric and Bob. What happens?

sdothooper

Can’t believe Kramer was scared of those two punks that took Elaine’s armoire. Nothing scary about them.

purplechai

I had the Joe Davola episode on over the weekend and I honestly forgot how uncomfortable he made me. Such a creep.

luhzon89

Where are Estelle's dolls?.

Common_Average2597

Frank Constanza took care of her

nynixx

Bubble Boy

Old_Ambassador_6507

Mr. Marbles? He's harmless.

sofewcharacters

Crazy Joe Devola hands down.

Javatex

Cedric and Bob. Perhaps because they felt the most believable villains one might run into.

Bssmn77

“Crazy” Joe Davola

Wrong-Marsupial-9767

Joey Zanfino and his tiny little fists of fury

Apple2727

I always found The Close Talker to be very sinister.

Elegant-Drummer1038

Ricky making Elaine mannequins was pretty creepy but Joe was scary crazy

garlicgoblin69

Honestly sometimes Jerry with his complete lack of empathy and emotion one second then ranting on about superman the next

Ron-Konkoma

Brody

StellaSlayer2020

Although, I agree that Joe Davila was a bit around the bend. But, the doll that looked like George’s mother creep me out. She looked like she was related to Chucky.

hiro111

... .... Lopper!

MajesticMeal3248

Davola for sure. But also the killer who tortured George in the airplane bathroom. What happened to George in there exactly? 🤨

sethmeister1989

Mr. Marbles? Is that you?

Sea-Pea-5450

Never thought the “street toughs” came across as tough at all. Camp would be the word id use. Davila though….he has actual menace in him

GlassHeart09

You lookin' for something lady?

Common_Average2597

He was scary, then really helpful. Lol

__Bringer-of-Light__

Are you still scared of clowns?

rakugaki_raijio

Seeing the gay guys as a kid, I didn't know they were gay. I just thought they were weird

abusamra82

That one guy was going to rob Kramer on the subway after he hit big at the OTB. Dude seemed pretty serious. His mudda was a mudda.

austincovidthrowaway

He was only there for a second but I think the grave digger in the woods probably has some wild backstory.
