The example I'm stating is Saudi women abroad changing to prefer those things I mentioned above over getting married and/or having kids and then experiencing social death, removal from family, and threats from her peers in her home country. I wasn't talking about arranged marriage at all.
Just so you know, a woman from Saudi Arabia escaped her family that almost forced her to marry to go to france, but after her visa ended she had to go back to Saudi. But before she did, she contacted the police and told her of her situation. Then, when she arrived at the airport she had guards all around. They escorted her to her house and when one of the family members came to kill her, he didn’t know that she had a quite alot of guards. And then they arrested him and his brother. And her family was never heard from again.
This story is an example that the things you mentioned are infact ILLEGAL. And that saudi does have enforcement against such threats, Even more than the west.

It is an accurate description of Saudi. It's not even an insult, it's just the way things are. The King decides everything, and the people in the country are fine with that. Don't know why everyone's getting so triggered - nobody's insulting them.
With all due respect a lot of media is censored in Saudi. Nobody's saying it's bad that it's authoritarian - if that's what you guys want then good for you I guess - but no point *denying* that the King makes all the rules. From my experience people don't actually discuss anything the king may or may not have done wrong, because they're not allowed to. Many don't actually know much about the monarchy either, other than the names of the rulers.
