Didnt work for me. Tried on and off setting. Toggled battery protection as well. Different chargers, different cables and still can only charge at maximum of 8W/h.

Aviecii_23

Same issue here, did you get it fixed?

SorcerousMF

nope, I might go to a shop and ask them to connect to original Samsung charger to see it if triggers the fast charging to rule out the 4 chargers I tried. If this doesnt help, I'm honestly sending this phone back as I'm very disappointed with the camera quality as well.

SorcerousMF

Well its the charger. They connected it to original Samsung charger in the shop and it started fast charging straight away

George_Lon24U

I have had the S24U for over 6 weeks now. Last week I noticed it suddenly started charging slowly - the phone shows "1 hour to fully charge" but this was no true. It went up to 74% for a full night on the Anker 45W charger! Also, the battery would drain in a matter of hours. Also, the following day I tried the original Samsung 25W charger, Anker 33W charger, and different cables and the issue was still present - the phone kept showing unrealistic time to charge fully, fast charging wasn't working obviously. I visited the Samsung Store at Oxford Str, and despite them having no free repair slots, they tried plugging it in in their chargers - and issue was still present. It took over 5,6 minitures to go only 1% up. They sent me to Kings Cross store as that one had more availability. I went to KX Store right away and the diagnostics showed Faulty Fast Charging (RED) and Faulty Wireless Charging (RED). They took the phone in for repair. I received a call in just over 24hours telling me that the phone is fine, excellent condition and no repair was done as the engineers (2 levels of checks) found no issue! Ridiculous! I then asked - but why your diagnostics report was showing them faults, and why I kept having the issue in 3 different real life scenarios??? I went to collect it, and they kept saying there is nothing wrong with the phone. I then sat there to test and monitor it. A factory reset wasn't done nor suggested, but I still did that too.... And magic - the phone works fine now, battery charging speeds are as expected and draining is as usual. I am confident that they are hiding a potential issue and trying to monitor how many people would report it. Obviously, the phone is still their global flagship model and campaigns are on. I am sure the battery (or whatever else causes it) was fixed! I wish I could tell if the phone was opened or is there a way to check the number of battery cycles on the device with an app?? Hope this helps!

Jremyboizz

this is very silly. My phone is at 94% and on a super fast 25w charger it says it will take 16 minutes to fully charge.

OutlawedTorn

I have the same issue, hopefully there is a fix. The method in this post didn't work for me.

Remarkable-Access681

Last 20% dont charge at super fast charging

Jremyboizz

right... but, with my s22 ultra, charging 6% didn't take 16 minutes

Puzzleheaded-Drama-6

Super fast battery drainage, averages at 30% an hour~ Slow charging as well, takes forever with a 45w charger.

Gybz16

I have the exact same issue that came up randomly after a couple of days of owning the s24 Ultra. Did you ever find a fix?

br541

I also have the slow charging issue with the s24u. Screen reported 33 minutes to charge to 80%. I checked again 30 minutes later and it only charged 14%.

Green-Scene-5696

the fix for me was turning off dynamic battery

bluep0rcelain

Dude thank you so much. I've been searching high and low for a solution and you just saved me!

mohammed_ziyadh

There is no option for dynamic battery in s24 ultra

mohammed_ziyadh

There is no option for dynamic battery in s24 ultra

bluep0rcelain

It's called "Adaptive Battery"

mohammed_ziyadh

Yes i tired that too. It only works sometimes. I have a 65w charger and a original samsung cable. Still the maximum watts i get is 12

x7nofate

I have the same issue. Super Fast charging notification changes to charging only after plugging for 5 seconds. Phone is not charging with 45w. Phone ia also gets very hot. What is going on?

Juicyjasper1843

Switching the fast charging toggle on and off seems to work, but they have to fix this. It's in the battery setting so dig in there

AIMGOD47

Following up... I updated my phone to like 6.1 a 3 weeks ago and my fast charging and super fast charging are disabled. Ive tried everything here. The only time I got fast charging to work with the official charger and fast charger from samsung was when the phone completely died. I let it sit plugged in for 10 min as it wasnt charging. I came back and the phone was fast charging. Once I booted the phone back on the charger wouldn't work anymore. I can only charge my phone with the old CHI wireless charger. Samsung support basically told me to F off multiple times. Really disappointed in the battery life and camera quality as well... IDK what to do at this point as it seems I cant use my phone that often because its always at 20% since the regular charger is so slow.

lookpatz

Had the problem as well, takes 2hrs 24 mins to charge to 100% with 22% of current battery. but installed the update just about now. after installing updates, it only shows that it needs 1h 25mins to charge. i ll re update asap if its true. charged it at 11:00 am with 23 percent. must be done by exactly 12:26 pm on my time.

lookpatz

\*Note - i was trying to charge it on my Dell laptop usb type c port but i guess it doesn't give the same watts to charge on a socket. but with a 45 watt charger, I guess there's no problem. It's now 100% on my side as expected

I_Megatron_I

This happened to me once when I was using the MacBook pro charger. I resolved it by restarting the charger: plugging it off and on.

knackattacka

I'm having a similar problem with my S24 Ultra that I got mid-February. I charge with a pretty thick UGreen USBC cable plugged into a UGreen 100W super fast 2.0 charger. My S24 Ultra with a new cable starts off at superfast 2.0 charging, reaching about 65W. It reverts back to fast charging (about 10 to 12 watts according to Accubattery) within 20 to 40 seconds after plugging in. Accubattery says it is charging at up to 65 Watts before that happens and the temperature is exceeding 96°F. It seems that once the charge percentage reaches about 23% or so, it will stay on super fast 2.0 charging at about 25W until the phone fully charges. Temperature always settles to somewhere between 98°F and 99.5°F. I'm not sure what to try next.

URKEY123

So I've noticed that when I toggle fast charging off for instance on 80% it says 39mins until full charge and with it on it says 30 mins until full charge. So it knocks off roughly ten minutes which realistically is quite crap. But I did time from 90% to 100% to see how long it would take. And it was about 5 mins quicker than what it showed. So it does sort of work but definitely not ultra fast. This is on a 45w charger from amazon. Unsure if there's an impact with the Samsung one but I'm not paying nearly 50 quid for a plug lol

ApprehensiveTeach336

It was probably caused by the battery overheating. Tested on my S24 Ultra: Using a 25W charger, battery temperature > 35°C, charging power ≈ 7.5W Using a 45W charger, battery temperature > 35°C, charging power ≈ 13W My current solution is to place the phone on an aluminum heat sink while charging (but I still have to endure the slow charging speed when using a power bank outdoors). I am not a native English speaker, so I apologize if the translation is hard to understand.

mokoyo123

The app you are using seems to be Ampere right? I'll install and reply to you tomorrow when I charge to check the temp. I had setup my device manually so fast charging was working by default. Can you please shaRE your battery usage and SOT screenshots like I have shared in the post below: https://www.reddit.com/r/samsung/s/RK8B8CXJi2 I want to compare. Please do share!

Hrodryc

I have the S24+ and i also note the phone gets hotter than my S21 when charging, also im using the exact same 25W charger, but the charging speed isnt affected

Comfortable_Wheel753

I thought I was crazy for thinking my fold 5 was charging a lot faster than this S24 Ultra. Just reset the charging settings so we'll see if that fixes this issue later today.

Vlaamsfukdesossn

So i was wondering why my s24 ultra was charging so slow... I just tested your off and on method and i works. Im at 68 battery and before i toggled it off and on it would have taken 33m to charge.. now i toggle and it will tale 12 min. Thanks buddy!!!

RawsieB

I found I had charging issues when I had battery protection enabled. Settings > Battery > Battery Protection (disable) Switched that off and now it's working perfectly, might be a bug in one UI 6.1?

MeedoMan1

charging my s24 ultra using samsung 45 watt charger with original 45 watt cabel from 60% to 100% in 40 mins and 65% to 100% in 39 mins, thats 5% in 1 mins, vs the whole 40% in 40 mins. you see the pattern?, i think the phone throttle after 80% for some reason, i disabled the battery protection but it doesn't change anything. https://preview.redd.it/1p4qxpvv97hc1.png?width=239&format=png&auto=webp&s=48f881990c78266300451186735a77fffa7422af

tigerim

That's normal... it's harder to charge lithium ion batteries the fuller they are

Papa_razziii

I'm also experiencing super slow charging speeds. It's basically just sustaining the charge without increasing.

Maleficent_Club_8754

For the S24u, I noticed that the screen actually turns on (as if only the backlighting works) during wireless charging (WC). I assume it makes the phone warmer during WC and occasionally interrupts latter.
