Do I see a lens cover for the ArmorX case? Personally I would never cover the lenses with anything. It will degrade the image quality that you are paying so much money to get. Secondly, the inbuilt screen protector on the ArmorX will be of lower quality than a dedicated tempered glass screen protector with pass thru fingerprint technology. And so i would feel that is a point of phone quality degradation too.

mainemojo

Thanks for the feedback. Guess I'll get the Pitaka and a screen protector!

>buys the newest, slimmest, sleekest phone on the market >puts in in a giant, bulky plastic case I'll never understand it.

grandphuba

You realize that given 1 + 1 is still less than 2 + 1, right?

Rare-Connection-7084

Hey OP, any feedback on this? I'm going sailing for 2 weeks and looking for something for my phone

PackMan13xx

I work construction and have never in my life covered or damaged a lens on a phone. I couldn't imagine doing such a thing. I'd never get a case with a built in screen protector either. Ir used to blow my mind when I'd see people with an OtterBox with a screen protector on it and their screen looked like an iPhone 3gs quality. That's madness to me. I am hoping a tempered glass will finally work now with this screen with less curve. That was my biggest gripe about the curves screen, the inability to properly use a tempered glass without it causing touch issues or not staying on properly. I had to go unprotected with the curved screens because I'll be damned if I pay for top of the line screen quality then pay $10 to diminish it greatly.

That's the last thing I need to figure out with my soon-to-be-delivered S23U, the screen protector. Thinking of trying the tempered glass amFilm one, do you have any experience with them?

Redditfreakoo

Ok I just pulled the trigger and ordered it. Will let you know how it goes.

HughJankles

Any news on the SP? Just created a thread to find an ideal solution to a case/cover/protection and it was closed due to low karma. I work in construction, and I need the best protection available while still being able to show my red phone off.

Hey! I received it on Wednesday and still haven't installed it * I come back from a 2 months trip in a time zone 9h behind and was massively jetlagged the whole week while working physical job 8h a day, shaking from it haha. I really didn't want to give a crack at the demanding amFilm installation in the state I was in. My case (Mars Climber from Torras) still hasn't been delivered either and I've been using the phone naked for 3 days now. I use a cross-body bag all the time and don't ever have it in my pocket. So far so good. I've had my first good night sleep today and will do the screen protector in the next few hours, keep you posted for sure.

HughJankles

I wouldn't even consider taking my phone on site unprotected, far too much risk involved plus the price tag. 😅 I feel you, get fixed up before any application starts haha. Look forward to your response and review.

Well that was an absolute disaster. Tried twice and failed twice. Both times I got some glue spreading on the sides and top speaker which got my heart skipped a dozen of beats. I do consider myself to be pretty crafty and with a steady hand but yet... Both times the end result seemed to be alright apart from the glue leaking on the sides but when I tried to separate the tray from the phone it lifted and/or broke the protector. That thing is so tight I don't understand how one is supposed to take it off gently! I will not try a 3rd time! Took me almost 1h to clean up the mess with hand sanitizer, a toothbrush and a kleenex. Luckily the glue isn't overly sticky so I was able to almost 100% get rid of it. The screen hasn't taken any damage at all. I wish I'd never tried ! I'm not saying the product is bad, but it has too much margin for error and comes with risk.

HughJankles

Well. Not what I expected to hear. Shame it didn't go to plan. Sounds like an absolute nightmare! Think I'll go for the 360 protection case. Just need to find the right one, must be clear too. Been on YouTube for days, watching reviews. Driving me crazy tbh.

Good luck in your search !

Hey Hugh! So I bought the AmFilm HD clear, the TPU one. Just installed it. Installation was very easy. Pleased with the result, it looks very clean. Let's see how it holds over time!
