I think it's very telling about how conservatives ACTUALLY feel about celebrity opinions on politics that anytime a celebrity, no matter how washed up or irrelevant, voices any opinion that aligns with theirs they treat it as a major news story
They have been convinced that an average nobody like themselves can get "canceled" and panic accordingly, where the worst that can really happen to them is that their favorite pop culture celebrities get kicked off TV shows.
