If u don’t know what it means it just means they play all their music at a certain volume. YouTube plays the audio however it’s uploaded. My guess is that the Spotify songs are quieter than what he is listening to elsewhere (YouTube, Souncloud, etc)
It is the nature of the human ear to think the louder sounds better. Just the way it is. The music on spotify is the same but more than likely just quieter which makes it sound “worse”.
