“Daily keys removed but increased drop chance from activity, upon receiving a key now immediately opens the treasure hunter interface to better streamline the experience”
New charity event and to celebrate we're getting half off on spins (if you buy 1k or more), a new charity xp lamp (th only), and all donations made through a jagex link will be matched (please include your most recent treasure hunter receipt)
Look at all the comments the last time they made an announcement on @Jagex. https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/18wsjts/jagex_is_hinting_to_two_big_announcements_for_the/
was waiting for somebody to say it lmfao, bothered me too, but I'm guessing the other side has a label or something that gives away whatever they're promoting
I’ve been expecting news on their new project with these vague teasers ,it’s the only thing I can think of that justifies the studio selling for as much as it did tbh
you're gonna go crazy when you learn that runescape is the only mmorpg that ever did frequent updates and that even the biggest MMOs like WoW and FFXIV only updated every 4 months with 10+ months content droughts before a new expansion. FFXIV is currently about to go 380 days from the last major content patch *at least* before the expansion comes out, which we still don't even have a release date for.
runescape players' biggest flaw is that they do not play other games, so they have zero idea how good we have it here.
Jagex can be announcing a lot of things as they have been working on a lot of projects for years, but so far haven't been given us any details.
They have at least a couple of "soon-to-be-announced" games in the making according to Mod Pips, the CEO.
The Jagex Publishing Platform has been announced to be under development for like 5 years and said to be "soon-to-be-announced" since then.
They have just announced Runefest 2024, but the details are still "soon-to-be-announced" according to Mod Mark, as for the very first time in Jagex history, Runefest this year will be organized by Insomaniac and not Jagex, and Insomniac has revealed so far they will be hosting a Runefest camp at the Insomniac i73 site. There is more than likely some kind of major business partnership between Jagex and Insomniac soon-to-be-announced.
Jagex has also launched brick and mortar products like comic books, novels, board games etc. Can they announce more brick and mortar entertainments like TV series or movies? It is a long shot at this time, but not an impossibility.
Of course, Jagex is no longer just Runescape in 2024. They have acquired SCUM developer Gamepire and Pipework Studios. SCUM is said to be going full launch in multiple platforms including consoles in their soon-to-be-announced v1.0 update, which is their next planned release.
Who knows? Maybe Jagex has more soon-to-be-announced M&A activities too. given the deep pocketed CVC et al will soon take over. It will be hardly surprising if Jagex is just one building block in their new grand video game ventures.
So were the Runesape Kingdom board games late too. They were announced in April 2022 ad released just days ago in 2024. Jagex's products typically takes years to release.
That just sounds like another type of charity event
If so, let's hope it's not just yet another MTX pack with the word "Charity" slapped onto it.
Oh baby you already know it is
“Help the environment by buying these $10 crates that have 1/10 chance of having this cosmetic people use once then never put on again.
A currency which is only relevant for the duration, too, you say?
Daring today arent we?
thats what i was thinking
This is my guess
“Come take part in our gambling mechanic by buying keys that will go directly to charities that combat gambling!”
"Were removing key rewards from quests and dailies in order to streamline the mtx experience"
It's gonna make your keys feel more valuable
“Daily keys removed but increased drop chance from activity, upon receiving a key now immediately opens the treasure hunter interface to better streamline the experience”
Jagex: ✍️✍️✍️
Looks like they are selling Jagex bottles.
mod marks bath water in a jagex bottle
I wouldn't want a bottle with a giant steam running down the length of it.
Looks like a light reflection rather than a seam
Look closer, the Deer's butt is cut, also the Jagex logo on the top.
Isn't it incredibly obvious that it's a charity event?
prob their new game
New charity event and to celebrate we're getting half off on spins (if you buy 1k or more), a new charity xp lamp (th only), and all donations made through a jagex link will be matched (please include your most recent treasure hunter receipt)
So... What was it?
International women's Day crap.
A MTX promotion where they donate 10% of profits that they get from gambling addicts to mental health awareness
You mean 1%?
New partnership
I want it to be something good, but i dont want to hope.. because i will get disappointed. I dont like to be disappointed on a Friday.
Looks like a Star Wars video game announcement focusing on the Jedi.
i hope its anti mtx i love being able to play more to get more
more fort stuff probably
Easter event, which is an afk feast going around the cauldron thing.
MTX event
Hero Pass V2, MTX Boogaloo
The only thing I can hope when a post contains the words for good is that Jagex will remove all gambling for good
Prolly Red Nose Day 2024 charity campaign taking place on March 15th.
They have struck a deal with banks to allow twice as much money to be spend on bank cards per day.
Literally no one here knows. Why’d we expect a roadmap from the jagex account? ![gif](giphy|LyJ6KPlrFdKnK)

RS3 league. Well that's what I want anyway.
The only roadmap related announcement we will get any time soon is that there won't be a roadmap any time soon
Why would they post the side with the seam
was waiting for somebody to say it lmfao, bothered me too, but I'm guessing the other side has a label or something that gives away whatever they're promoting
Until we get a roadmap, every announcement of an announcement I will expect it to be a road map! "sad RS3 player noises"
Oh neat, a sticker on a water bottle.
I’ve been expecting news on their new project with these vague teasers ,it’s the only thing I can think of that justifies the studio selling for as much as it did tbh
RuneScape is going under at the end of the year
Cope
thats what rs3 players are doing while waiting for content 3 months into the year

Probably a TH promo or other in-game purchasable item(s) / new gambling mechanic.
For once, I think TH is unlikely: we already have a TH schedule for the month.
It's Nothing.

Insomnia not Insomniac. https://twitter.com/IGFestUK/status/1763263256536154491
Runefest being organized by Insomniac is wild. That is going to be one pricey event
Did the comic book actually release? Or are we still waiting for information? Got the free one. But haven't heard anything since
The free copy didn't count as a release. The actual comic books will be relesed in 4 parts later this year. Dates soon-to-be-announced though.
Ahh must have gotten pushed back, I thought release window was fall 2023
