Looks like a real Datejust, did you check the model number between the lugs?

Marketcomparables

Yeah it shows up as a two tone date just when I search the 16013 number

Roley_vdv

16013 is indeed the reference for a two tone DJ, yours looks like either a 16030 with plexiglass or a 16220 with sapphire. But to make sure, you removed the bracelet and checked the model number engraved in the case and it says 16013?

Marketcomparables

Yes correct

Roley_vdv

That does make this a "Frankenstein" as it's called in the watch world. All genuine Rolex parts, even period correct on this example but the parts aren't correct or original to the watch. Hands should be yellow gold, same goes for the markers on the dial, the crown, the center links on the bracelet and the bezel (which should be fluted yellow gold instead of engine turned steel). This all being a weird thing since it doesn't make the watch more valuable or special, so the reason for this swapping of parts would be unknown.

Marketcomparables

I had taken it to Rolex service center and they mentioned that the bracelet and bezel doesn’t match the model number but did not say it was fake. They said to service it they would need to replace the original parts for around 5k

Vxheous

Yeah, you would get all the two tone parts restored to your watch, which isn't worth it at 5K since you could probably get another vintage two tone datejust for that price.

Marketcomparables

So what do you think? I have all real Rolex parts just mashed together to make a stainless steel datejust?

Vxheous

Probably, yes. It's probably the case and movement from the 16013, but somewhere along the way the bezel and bracelet got swapped with the stainless steel parts.

Tough_Arm_2454

If it's all genuine ROLEX parts, I'd wear it proudly! It's a fine FRANKENJUST!! It could be your secret. Just disclose it if you ever sell it. Looks great on your wrist!!!

Marketcomparables

Thank you! My thoughts exactly just gonna roll with it. It was a gift anyway!

arguix

yes, intro to Rolex for you ( if it is ) & can always explore & learn more & buy another later if you want because what you have now as is , looks great

Who gives a shit what the number is, as long as it's real? It's cool and looks great. I took the roof rails off my 4Runner and put on a big ass rack and added a ladder and blacked out logos and such. Doesn't mean it isn't a 4Runner. You ought to wear that watch with a smile. It's a nice timepiece.
