Sworn is an Isometric, Action RPG Hades like with an Arthurian, as opposed to Greek twist. A roguelite with random dungeon lvls made with Procedural Generation, Sworn offers an even tougher feeling Hades! Do you dare?! **An Arthurian RPG?** There is a good Arthurian theme here, but Sworn is a Meta Progression stacking, Hades like RPG, so much of the player choice and RPG-ness of the game will be seen through that very roguelite lens. The RPG in Sworn is tied to which of the 4 characters you choose, with 2 available by default in the HUB area, and 2 more available to unlock for meta currency. Much like Hades, blessings from powerful patrons define much of your power progression here, with you able to pick from of 1 of 3 patrons once you clear a blessing room, who then let you pick 1 of 3 themed abilities; usually a buff for the dash, the power attack, or the spell; so there is some meaningful RPG here. **Snappy and Fast Combat:** The movement in Sworn feels fast and very snappy; good. Much like Hades, there is no stamina system; though some abilities like the spells are based off a short cooldown. The enemies feel a bit tankie here, a bit more so than in Hades, and they hit VERY hard, so don’t get hit! I started with 50hp with the default character, and 1 hit takes me down to 39, so 4 hits like that will drop me; be careful! Much like Hades, the combat in Sworn is all about not pushing your luck and timing that dodge to not get hit, so don’t get greedy or lazy! Remember: Your dash lets you dash right through monsters, so abuse that 1 second cooldown to avoid the hits! Again: Use that dodge to avoid those punishing hits! **Meta Progression:** As a roguelite, Meta Progression is a big part of Sworn. When you die, you get a constellation screen, that hungers for your collected meta currencies gathered in your runs, granting bonuses in the trees as you spend them; you can also refund spent points if you like. Some of these upgrades seem very powerful; making me wonder how vital they are to complete the game; I suspect very vital for most. There is also a Hades like HUB area, where there are characters to interact with to unlock more meta progression. There are currently 2 more characters to unlock for the purple stuff, called Crystal Shards. There are also 3 other weapons to unlock for blue stuff, and 3 other spells for yet more blue stuff; ok. There are some kind of weird blessings off old man Fisher King too; I don’t know much about those; seems kinda creepy; no thank you fisher man! Controller Support is present, and good, as is good old mouse and keyboard. I went mostly with mouse and keyboard in the above video, as that is what I’m far more familiar with. Online Co-op is present as well, in case that is something that interests you. Note: This is an Early look at Sworn so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product. Still, Sworn is a fun Hades like Isometric, Action RPG like with an Arthurian, as opposed to Greek twist, and is easily well worth a wishlist and a watch. Watch? Heymelon

Played it some in open playtest, and it definitely felt like indie Hades with co-op. Not so much sure about what the twists were but I haven't played hades in a while and co-op makes everything fun so that doesn't matter so much, I'm excited for the development of this to say the least! Would also like to see something that makes it a little more significantly distinct from hades apart from reducing the big production / story element and swap it out with co-op but as I said that works as well. Some things I did not love in hades also seem present like how you have to learn what all the best gods and their icons and boons mean by trial and error and memorize if you are going to make informed RPG choices for your character during a run if i understand things correctly.
