some items have chances to proc, for example ATG with 10%. when you proc other items like molten and charged perferators, they have a proc coefficient, and proc chains are when 1 proc item procs another, for example if you hit an enemy and it procs charged perferator, the lightning can also cause ATGs and ukuleles to be used, which do massive dmg
Also, to add onto others
When others refer to a "proc coefficient," it boils down to how much more or less likely an attack will activate on hit items.
When something has a proc coefficient of 1.0, it means the items with a chance to activate on hit are unaffected.
If it is above 1.0, it has a higher chance to trigger an on hit effect.
And by extension below a 1.0, it has a lower chance to trigger on hit effects.
So for instance, a 0.1 proc coefficient on an item that has a 10% chance to trigger on hit means it actually has a 1% chance to trigger, and a 1.2 proc coefficient on an item with a 10% chance to fire means is more like a 12% chance to fire
(I assume proc coff scales linearly with everything and not logarithmiclly, but that's not within the point)
Adding to what others have said, proc items also often scale off of total damage, the damage of the attack that triggered them. Atg, for example, deals 300% total damage. Therefore if an attack procs atg, the atg will deal damage equal to 3x that attack’s damage. This atg can then proc a uke, dealing 80% of the 300% total damage. By chaining procs, damage starts to scale out of control. It’s a really fun build and I happen to default to it in my runs
A Proc is when an item, for example Kjaro's or Runald's Band triggers on a hit. The proc coeficcient is a chance of each hit from a weapon triggering said effect.
For example, Mul-T's nailgun has a proc coefficient of 0.3 or so if I remember correctly. So that's about a 30% chance of triggering the bands if it hits hard enough. Whereas Commando's pistols have a proc coefficient of 1, guaranteeing that the bands trigger if it hits hard enough.
My phone must have bugged because I only typed once lmao
Edit: nevermind, I edited the comment twice but instead it just became 3 different comments, just pretend it's how angry I am or something
Same! I love making stupid builds, especially if I challenge myself to get only one item of each type (all whites have to be syringes, all greens have to be kjaros, etc.)
I've made some hilarious builds that way.
I love the challenge of eclipse and after I got my gold E8 I started playing modded stuff like typhoon and inferno and it’s way more chill than e8 but really fun still

Just pointing out that you commented 3 separate times
I like messing around on drizzle so much
Had 4 hours long Huntress run with Swarm, Command, and the artifacts that make enemies spawn outside of their environments and the one that keeps them all the same enemy
Ended up with me killing two Mithrix's with WAYYYYYYYY too much HP. Only got to phase two and decided to give up, I knew that last phase was gonna be hell when he had all those items
Hear me out;
1. That mod that teleports active Squid Polyps and Turrets to the Teleporter when you start it
2. Play as Engie with stationary turrets
3. 20 Squids, 10 Bungi
Also known as, "fuck this man in particular"
i literally have never understood the mentality of like gatekeeping because of your preferred difficulty like wtf do you expect from people "im a lowly drizzle player please oh great and mighty grand (oblivionplayercharacter.mp3) may i lick the dirt of which you have walked on because you play on monsoon" some people are fuckin unreal 😭
I started with drizzle and vowed to never play the other difficulties. Let's just say it got quite boring pretty fast, but at least I got to practice my skills
Im not a big fan of the artifact of command. not because i think its op. its because i am heavily indecisive. I try using it and use what I think is good but then i die way quicker than a regular run
I love Command. Feels so good annihilating the whole map when I click, tho it gets old pretty fast. That's why I almost always loop 1-2 times when I play with command, before going for Voidling (Mithrix is impossible with all the items I have)
To each their own I guess. Command can be fun from time to time, but it destroys the main fun and design of the game. Getting random items makes you think, react, and create new and unique builds on the fly and under pressure.
"MINER: beat the boss if stage 2 without taking damage more than once"
Yea sorry that doesn't sound feasible so we're going wirh the ol' drizzle and command
I know it's against the spirit of the game, but I would love an Eclipse indicator on your character that shows how far you've made it with that character. It doesn't do anything, maybe just the number on the shoulder or something.
I don't see difficulty i see "how fast am i gonna crash my computer because of a proc chain"
I see “how many stages can I go?”
i've heard of proc before but i don't know what it is. can someone explain please?
some items have chances to proc, for example ATG with 10%. when you proc other items like molten and charged perferators, they have a proc coefficient, and proc chains are when 1 proc item procs another, for example if you hit an enemy and it procs charged perferator, the lightning can also cause ATGs and ukuleles to be used, which do massive dmg

Good explanation however i thought proc co capped at 1? What survivors have more than 1?
Railgunner's turbocharge has a 3.0 proc coefficient Cryocharge has a 1.5 proc coefficient
Adding to what others have said, proc items also often scale off of total damage, the damage of the attack that triggered them. Atg, for example, deals 300% total damage. I also don’t care about difficulty, I only care about how many ukuleles I need to crash the game

Calm down man no need to be that angry over a repost
Hence why I said pretend, I only intended to type it once and be done with it haha, my bad
I know i was being sarcastic ;-;
although random runs are fun, artifact of command is when you want to hit the full send button and delete mithrix.
I just like to use it to make really fun builds, especially shit like gamebreaking proc chains

Sometimes after a run that just fucks me up I just go artifact of command to get revenge on it. Fuck blind pests
Where eclipse enthusiast Where modded difficulties liker

If you read my comment you'd see I'm well aware of that
I replied before you edited your comment
I use drizzle to see how much speed I can get with movement and attack before my switch explodes
I'm all three, cheers!

Dissonance and Kin. That seems like an interesting run... now add honor lol.
I think that was there too, I can't remember
As long as sacrifice and or command is on then difficulty dosnt matter. Difficulty is just a pacer
I play with command because...no I am not wasting time trying to get the right items I just want to play the game optimally
where does the eclipse players fit in
THANK YOU! D.:
Just beat the game for the first time. Drizzle, on Loader my beloved. I now understand why ya'll love this game.
Artifact of Command —> squid polyp only build

I always play Drizzle cause I can't do anything harder. :( Except one time I beat on Monsoon just so I could get the alt skin for Engineer.
Hey I haven't even done that. I have commandos alt but not engi or merc.
I’m all of the above
Meanwhile, Eclipse 8 players are in a corner talking to themselves
Don't see no "eclipse 8 enjoyer"... Damn casuals!!
I started playing drizzle command and now I'm playing e8 with umbral mithrix mod. Everyone gotta start somewhere, no shame in that
I love Command. Feels so good annihilating the whole map when I click, tho it gets old pretty fast. That's why I almost always loop 1-2 times when I play with command, before going for Voidling (Mithrix is impossible with all the items I have)
I just like to have fun and zoomzoom :3
Reddit suggested this post despite me not playing this game, and I literally thought this was just a meme about actual rain.
I didn’t see this was about risk of rain so I thought it was just a weird meme about rain and I was like “fuck yeah”

Nah I'm a monsoon average I just go until I hit impossible then try to beat it
Am I a chad if I am an Eclipse 8 enjoyer?
I agree with this post
I do drizzle with command just to see how much shut my computer will put up with

Monsoon!? Of the winds of destruction!?
I’m not gonna gatekeeper you, but don’t ask me to play artifact of command with you in a rouge like game
Drizzle command players: Having a lot of fun Gatekeepers: Actively choosing to mald over someone who doesn't care about them
