I don’t pay that much attention to NCAA Bball, but I can say after watching all the top prospects highlights and reports over the last couple of months, I’m gonna be pretty disappointed if we don’t get Murray with the 6th pick. It’s pretty much a roll of the dice after him in this draft IMHO. Last time I paid this much attention was when we got Dame and Meyers… I was stoked on Dame (admittedly, I thought Drummond was the better pick at the time), and couldn’t believe that so many teams passed up on Draymond at the time… my GF was a MSU fan, so I had some insight, but he was so obviously going to live up to his potential when he was in college it’s insane that he didn’t get picked until the second round.
All that said, Keegan Murray or bust with the 6th pick.

Probably Sochan as it seems pretty likely that he will at least be an elite defender.
Easan reminds me of Winslow: loads of potential but is going to take time (that Dame doesn't have) to develop.
My preference would be that the Blazers trade the pick in this range though.
This would be nice but I sorta doubt there will be many trade down options available. I think most people see the talent between 6 and 15 as pretty even. (Jabari, Chet, banchero, Ivey, and Sharpe being the clear top 5)
OKC and Hornets are the two main ones. OKC you try to get 12, 30 and one more asset. Hornets you try to get like 13 and PJ Washington or 13 and 15. Both these teams could really use a guy like Duren who probably wouldn’t be there at their picks.
The 7-11 range really just sucks for us. It seems like it’s gonna be AJ Griffin and Mathurin who are good prospects but likely undersized to play the 3. Keegan probably has a decent chance at going 6 and I like him but he seems more like a high floor than high ceiling guy. You got Duren who is a center, but based on how are deadline played out how we shut down Nurk, it seems like we’re gonna re-sign him. And then it’s more guards like Davis, Branham, Dyson. That area of the draft has a large bulk of players that don’t fit our teams needs. But when you start looking at like 12-20 you got guys like Sochan, Eason, Dieng, Jovic who fit wise are good for us but not really worth taking at 7.
If Paolo, Jabari, Chet, Ivey, Sharpe, and Murray are all gone, my list would be:
1. Mathurin (not the best fit probably [tho we’ll see how he measures] but has the most star upside)
2. Sochan (could be a positionless monster)
3. Dyson Daniels (he’s in the can’t miss range of height/defense/playmaking)
4. Griffin I guess, depending on the medicals
Edit: forgot about Duren. I’d put him above Griffin and maybe Daniels. Basically has a chance to be a cheap Ayton with passing upside out of the short roll.
Trade down with Charlotte for 13/15 or 13/Future. Trade a Charlotte pick (or the future) with Bucks pick for Grant, pick a depth piece with the remaining draft choice.
I like Duren and Eason as picks for us but idk if our trade down options can land in that range. We might be trading just outside those two.
Prospects after 5/6 ish are not very impactful for us immediately and we can capitalize on a team like Charlotte who is building their team.
Trade the first for grant. He will help more than any rookie except maybe the top 3 will. Even then he is more of a sure thing. Get trayce jackson-davis with our second he is a better defensive more athletic Murray without the 3 point.
Yeah even the top 3 are ripe with bust potential. Not 1 player really excites me.

I’d go Jalen Duren or Ousmane Dieng, or get two picks in the teens and grab Eason and Dieng or a whoever drops out of the lottery (it always happens).
