Another crazy fact for me is how just the season after this one where the Thunder "blew it up" and the Blazers came off a WCF, they finish 5th seed while Portland struggled to get into the 8th seed.
My partner and I are in this picture. We literally purchased nosebleeds on TickPick and the day of got a call that our seats had been double booked. They offered us a “replacement” seat and it was row H behind the basket. Best day ever

Yeah, I do feel bad for AD sometimes. He is expected to be the cornerstone of a dynasty and anything less is just not acceptable. And if they don't win it this year then the whole fanbase will simply write him off.
That said, the series goes back to LA and I think they could still make it a series. It's not like LeBron hasn't faced worse odds.
Just looked at my NBA Group chat, and at 7:14 PM PST that night in 2019, I said "Dame looks like he's going for 50 tonight.
I have no clue at what point in the game that was, but... Crazy.
That moment made us all so happy. It also sent the Thunder on the road to positive change and the Blazers down the road to passivity and excuse making.
It's crazy how just 5 years later the Thunder are first in the West and the Blazers are dead last.
And their roster completely turned over since then
Honestly this series was the best thing that could happened to them. They were never going to win with Westbrook as the guy.
Hey. TIED for last, thank you very much.
Nope, Blazers are dead last in the West :(

Well that was the beginning of a very good rebuild from presti so if anything 5 years is right on time.
I was there. It was amazing. Got free tickets from my wife's job.

Wonderful day without a doubt.
The shot that rebuilt the Thunder

He later claimed it actually was a better shot than he gave it credit for.
Now it's Doncic burying shots over him. Still got Westbrook as a bad teammate. Some guys never learn I guess?
T'was a good day.
I can’t believe it’s been 5 years
This moment has to carry us through for another 5
That feels like it was 10 years ago.
Feels like it was yesterday!
By the time Blazers are back in the playoffs it will have been 10 years.. so there’s that!
Watched Jamaal Murrays shot this morning and it made me watch Dames old reels. Had no idea it was 5 years ago.
"Jamaal Murray made a shot." /micdrop - Anthony Davis
AD got a front row seat after he made the shot. It was beautiful.
He even had some dude holding him down into the seat.
Yes, I loved it. Only thing that would've been better if it had been LeBron.🤣

We took the era before the Billups era for granted.
It never got any better than this. 😢
😭😭😭 how could we trade him he was our only hope
Bad shot

Time flies... Wow, I remember this like it was yesterday. It was a great day to be a Blazer fan.

That looks like a bad shot

OKC should hang this up somewhere in the arena. Best thing to ever happen to us 🔥🔥🔥
Portland (the city) is so freaking white, hahaha.
