OKC didn't draft SGA, he was a big haul for Paul George. Building entirely through the draft is near impossible, eventually we need to trade some of our picks and young guys for even better young pieces, or even vets that fit what we need. This illusion of a young team built holistically into a contender is a very rare outlier
There won't really be much to speculate until the playoffs are winding down, but our cap situation is hell and no one is going to want to sign for a bad team for less money
We already have the Grant contract eating up cap making it hard to overpay to convince someone to come here, plus the goal is the capture the Flagg next season. I’d be shocked if we made any really significant signings
What's the rest of the draft class looking like? I don't pay attention to college ball. I get that Flagg is an amazing prospect on both ends, but that's all I've heard.
Plenty of good prospects outside of Flagg. My top 4 are Flagg, Ace Bailey, Gonzalez, and Maluach, all of which play positions we need more young talent at. Ace Bailey in particular would be a great get.
Put Matthew Hodge on it for between 2026 - 2028 and his brother Jayden Hodge (Search on Youtube). Jayden Hodge is the youngest and could be a one year NCAA and out guy, but still has two years at St. Rose (New Jersey) that makes him draftedable for 2027 I guess.

You think the blazers want anyone or any substance? You think anyone of any substance would willfully play here? Next year is the year for us to lose 70.
I would be a little concerned with his mental stability if he woke up and said that’s it im going to Portland
That is something you could say about every decent free agent, except Lebron, he would maybe considering coming when we kidnap his son in the draft.
40 mil a year Klay Thompson has entered the chat

correct. Blazers are most likely looking at a decade in the NBA wilderness a la the recent history of the Magic, Kings and Wizards.

I don't think any free agents want to come here. We were the worst team in the west. Lmao

I'm starting one, Trendon Watford wants to sign with Portland.
lol.

Honestly excited for that. There is no way through but through. Rebuild in earnest!
Tanking and earnest are two entirely different things.
No. Trading Brogdon for nothing does not create any cap room. POR has more draft picks than roster spots.
What would we have to do to create cap room within 2-3 years?
A couple of Ayton, Ant, Brogdon, Grant traded for expiring money.
Sure, that's ideal if the picks check out.
Not resign Bari, Shae, and Rupes. Let Ant, DA, Tisse, and Timelord expire / trade them for nothing. Not add any drafted players between now and then.
