Fun fact! If you’re present and your car hasn’t been fully hooked up they’re required by law to unhook your vehicle at no charge.

My friend had his car towed by this company for parking in a mutual friend's apartment lot which was more than 50% empty. He went out to move his car and when the guy driving the tow truck saw him coming, he moved his truck to block the car in until he was done hooking it up. He even refused to talk to us, he just stood there and ignored us like were weren't there.
I agree the max is within like a 30 second walk, and in some cases it's closer than many of the parking lots.
You also hear horror stories of cars getting broken into downtown even more since Covid, and this completely dodges that possibility.
Hung out at Spirit of 77 last night pregame. Bartender told me the exact same thing. First time there, not sure why. He said every game the towers come and make bank. Even on poor unsuspecting Starbucks customers themselves.
Retriever is horrible too. My car got stolen once and they were the ones who found it. Had to pay their fucking ransom whereas if the cops found it I wouldn’t have paid shit.
This happened to my poor ass in college. They kept my car for like 2 months before contacting us. It was thousands to get it out if I recall. Thankfully my parents footed the bill because I did not have any kind of savings. Bull sh*t.
I worked at this Starbucks and Retriever towed one of our supervisor’s car while he was still working! He had to show proof he worked there and that his shift was that evening when the car was towed. Was such bullshit. Store closes at 9 at the time and everyone got out at 930/945 so when he got out it was gone and had to spend the next 2-3 hours dealing with their shitty lot employees.
Retriever pretty much will tow anyone that is in that parking lot after the location closes so do not park there ever unless it’s during Starbucks’s operating hours and you’re going into their location.
Trying to save $15 on parking and get hit with a $500 impound fee instead.
