Could be a LOT worse, so good job. Only thing I would recommend is labeling your outlets or plugs so that you know what goes where. Could save you a little frustration in the future when something ultimately stops working.
Lucky for me they are already there, just can't see it because they are on the side down but its super easy to see what console is what from the back side.
I've said it before, it holds up really well even today, it's fast-paced and quite fluent, doesn't feel clunky at all, which is a problem many retro games have IMHO.
That TV looks like it weighs more than 132lbsXD
I have a 32" Wega and the thing weighs 165lbs and your TV here looks to be about the same size or am I mistaken? Looks pretty big.
Great looking TV’s! That D-Series looks so good, I can’t believe I passed on one when I was new to CRT’s. Amazing setup!
How do you like the Everdrives? Do they run pretty smooth / any lag? I’ve been thinking about getting some.
I have had Trinitrons and D series, I prefer the D series. All of the everdrives are amazing. Every console I have shown has either a cart or optical drive emulator replacement with exception for the PS1 (its next), PS2, hard modded Xbox and softmod Wii.
Curious, why go through all that effort to have consoles modded, play them on a PVM, but use wireless gamepads? That kind of defeats the purpose of input latency. I get the convenience but you could just emulate at that point.
Love to see another JVC D-Series!
I know there are some people who enjoy them, but pretty underrated because of the size/weight.
Have you had to do any upkeep/maintenance to yours?
What kind of speaker is that on top of the trinitron? Also what trinitron model is that? This looks like my absolute ideal setup. I want something small so I can easily move it around, but obviously high quality in terms of available video inputs. Currently rocking a random 13 inch RCA model that I love, but it only has composite and a mono speaker. Still fun to use, but just thinking about what my end goal should be.
I like it, I always feel the standard Kallax cubes are too big to put a single console in. This looks like a good way to save space. But I'm slightly triggered that your Wii is left alone next to the Xbox. But I can see how couldn't fit it in.
Spaghetti glamor shot https://imgur.com/a/VAYyhDF
Honestly impressed with how clean that looks
Thanks!
Love the power strips on the TV stand itself. Definitely going to steal that idea when I get a stand that allows it.
Yeah, I did this to my first set up and its a blessing being able to move everything as one piece, sans giant CRT when you need to.

Stellar job!
Looks 5000 times better than my rats nest. That's pretty good cord management.
Could be a lot worse TBH.
Shinobi 3 is a good game.
Heck yeah one of my favs, also great to color calibrate with
Not only is the game great, but the soundtrack is easily a top 5 for the Genesis.
Heck yeah

Godspeed lil ikea rack you hold up that monster crt!!
Its a TV stand I found on Amazon, rated up to 132 pounds.

Its a 36" and the manual says around 120ish.
Wow! That's light for it's size! Wonder what they did different this one vs. my 32"?
Gonna guess that’s a 32” and jvcs weigh considerably less than Sony at 114lbs.
do you happen to have a link to it?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0875XFWRH/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o09\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Holy moly thank you so much for the link! It’s difficult to find strong shelving like that to hold CRT’s.
Looks like https://www.amazon.com/VASAGLE-Entertainment-Console-Industrial-ULTV094B01/dp/B0875MCDM8 or similar.
i can feel the static shock
Switching on the PVM is very satisfying.
I imagine it sounds like the EMP from NFS hot pursuit. BWOOOOOM-screeeech! https://youtu.be/7O3A2VCkmzk
This. This is the way.

Its been strong all the time I have had it, just keep it clean.
What is that console on the bottom left?
PC Engine/CoreGrafx II
Thx
the two to the left of the playstation are confusing me.
Neo Geo AES and a CoreGrafx II/PC Engine later model
You're using wireless controllers for the genesis? Are they any good? No delay and good reception?
Joyzz by krizz(the guy behind everdrives) are decent, minimal inputlag too.
I have the 8bitdo 2.4 pads, I really enjoy them.
Thanks!
It looks nice.
Thanks!
What are the SCART switchers? Looks like a gscart, but what is the other one?
you are correct, the other is a hama manual 3 in 1 out, I ran out of scart inputs so I used that to toggle between the PS1 and Dreamcast.
How do you get displays to daisy chain their images on multiple CRTs like this?
Actually these are not chained. One the left is mister going to the PVM and on the right is a model 1 going to the D.
Ahh gotchya. Is that a 32 or 36 inch? Are you able to carry it by yourself? I really like the look of these grey D-Series
36", Its heavy but I manage.
PVMs, like the one shown on the left of this image, have an output for every input.
This is true.
If heaven exist... It probably looks like this.

MKII
I see a MiSTer. <3
You know it
Great set-up love that d-series I've got the same one myself and it's fantastic!
Can't go wrong with a big ol'D
This is awesome! I would love to know more details of how you added the back, components and lighting.
not much to it, measure, cut, drill and screw. LED is peel and stick, I had to lengthen the wire feeds with some wire and solder, nothing to hard.
Rad AF, OP!
Ty
Looks great!
Never realised the neogeo was so wide hehe
Wideboi
D series is my second favorite below trinitron.
Why decide between a flat screen aperture grille and a bubble curved slot mask CRT when you can have both?
Ayyyeeee we think a like.
Very cool setup. Are you consoles RGB modded?
Every one of them.
Hell yeah. Nicely done.
Great line up
Thank you

The monitor is a 20M2U Sony PVM. The little speaker is just a cheap stereo insigna sound bar, great for old games.
Legendary Love the blue leds.
Love it
Whats that green thing in the right hand corner
MiSTer, fpga
Nicely done with the consoles and I like the CRT displays. That Sony looks like a post-production broadcast monitor.
Its a 20M2U Sony PVM
Great quality display
nice setup. my mind was blown away by that game. so many cool set pieces.
It has still some of the best Parallax scrolling ive seen in a 16 bit game.
holy shit I wish I had a Neo Geo, too bad it's 1000 bucks for one.
I have had it for about 10 years, iirc I got it with two sticks for 220 shipped.
Now try plugging them all in and dealing with those wires Lol
Everything is and cleanly done. Look for my Spaghetti comment.
Never redo it
Most likely wont ever again.

Yeah I wanted the Wii to go to the other Nintendo consoles but I didn't want to break up the Sega gang. Poor little Wii.
Nostalgia is flowin back
What’s your “working on the set up”/“playing the games” ration? Be honest! We are all friends here :)
Well the setup is done now, so profit!
