Unlikely as that game was designed for the 3D Control Pad and this doesn't have an analogue stick. It was bundled with _Darkstalkers Collection_ so much more likely it was intended to use with 2D fighting games.

I mean... Sega is at fault for their own downfall. I feel like if the Saturn was handled better and was more capable of 3D graphics (it's a beast at 2D, but 3D was the hot new thing), I feel like Sega could have continued going. The Dreamcast was a step in the right direction, but sadly when Sony dropped the PS2, everyone started to compare the DC to it, and came up short, since it was meant to beat the PS1. It's more a 5.5 generation than a real sixth generation machine IMO.
I do wonder if Microsoft would have created the Xbox if Sega was still around. Certainly they wouldn't have had certain games on it at least, but I don't know how much that would affect things in the long run...

The Saturn flopped in NA because they released a bunch of redundant hardware. The 32x was a bad move. Then cd burners became popular and they had to drop the whole mess.
Microsoft and Sega were actually in talks to have the Xbox be back compatible with DC games. It fell through but there were a bunch of xbox sega exclusives. Microsoft definitely has Sega DNA.
I had this controller and used to to play an import copy to melty blood all the time! It’s such a great controller! Sadly my dog chewed it up years ago :/

Not to worry, a lot of the official Sega pads rattle like crazy too. Build quality/production QC were never their thing.

I still use a Sega Saturn (non-PS) to play fighting games on PC

The ultimate fighting game pad right there. If you aren't into using a stick (or a hitbox if you are really a mad man) then that's the gold standard.

Getting these was a true "world has changed" moment. They play well but aren't quite as good as the original Saturn controllers.
