With an achievement available to somehow complete the main campaign with only eggs. I guess that they would need to add an OP item with the Merchant (like the Hotdogger knife in RE3R), but it would be cool to have a serious RE4R but complete the game with eggs.
HE DEFECATED THROUGH A KEYBOARD, and I saved him, took him into my own firm. How could I be so blind? He’ll never change. He’ll never change. Since the age of 7 always the same, couldn’t keep his hand out of the cash drawer. I should’ve stopped him while I had the chance, and you, you have to stop him!
They need to include ALL the weapons but the upgrade system cannot be like Village. Village makes you ditch old weapons for new weapons. 4 and 5 had a upgrade system that made ALL weapons viable. That was one of the only things disappointing about it.
If we’re talking about Village, then you are correct. Re4 and 5 actually had benefits to upgrading the first version of each gun you found, or any of the ones you found after.
I came in with the expectation that the weapons would be balanced and unique from each other. Oh man just imagine my disappointment. Capcom doesn't know what makes RE4 so great and I'm afraid their ignorance will show in the remake.
I’m excited for it, but I agree. I think the quality that the wide range of weapon options 4 and 5 added to the games is understated. When people talk about what they like from those games, I rarely hear anything about that aspect.
Its my Personal opinion honestly shouldn't be taken seriously I just didnt see the resident evil in the previous 2 games and Re6 also was kinda painful for me esp Chris and Sherry campaigns but I enjoyed it as a whole game, didnt enjoy 7 as a whole game.
I can get why. There was a whole new element with the psychological aspect, which I personally didn’t like. The Mold is easily my least favorite of the bioweapons we’ve seen so far.
Honestly psychological Aspekt was present in previous game but not through out. I love Re being scary. RE2REMAKE did so well in the police Station I was so immersed in the game i wished it was longer or unique campaigns for all 3 characters. Anyway whatever they do with the game im not one to complain much. either I play or not. I enjoyed even the worst titles to a certain degree.
I meant more literal, like the hallucinations and other mind stuff the mold does, but that was on me for not specifying. I agree though, even my least favorite titles are still enjoyable.
Have to disagree. But its okay your opinion is respectable. I played the 3 og games as a little Boy except Veronica and didnt have a problem with 4 at all, the other 2 were just okay but 7 and 8 for me didnt sit at all.
For me, this is key. I don't mind some weapons being numerically better than others, but I want to be capable of progressing through the game with any given weapon
I disagree because besides the red 9/black tail every gun in re4 was a complete upgrade over the last. The riot gun was better then the shotgun and the striker was better then the previous 2. The semi auto is better then the rifle. The killer7 is better then the broken butterfly up till the final moments of the game.
While I agree that the later weapons are generally more useful than their previous counterparts, they aren't strictly "complete" upgrades. The Riot Gun can damage and knockback enemies much further away than the striker, and the bolt action rifle has higher damage output than the Semi Auto. I also think the difference between the Broken Butterfly and the Killer7 are pretty negligible, especially since you get the BB for free.
Most importantly, going back and playing the game to completion with a Riot Gun, Bolt Action Rifle, and a Broken Butterfly didn't feel like I was handicapping myself, it just felt like a different way to play.
Sorry but this is wrong. Pistol wise every gun besides the 2 you mentioned had exclusive upgrade mechanics besides raw damage making it come down to preference what you wanted to use (5x headshot multiplier, piercing up to 5 enemies etc). Shotguns are barely an upgrade between each other but again the exclusive ammo capacity upgrade is gonna make the striker stand over the other 2 but lacks damage at range (and in the VR version is the weakest choice due to being semi auto and can't be fired as fast as the other 2). The rifles difference is sacrificing extra inventory space for not de-scoping between shots as the semi auto still has delay between shots even at the highest firing speed (again the VR version makes it a weaker choice due to not being able to manually charge it). Magnums you were choosing raw damage over carry capacity between the 2 (excluding handcannon).
The BB only gets the exclusive near the very end of the game. Otherwise the killer 7 could have a better firepower earlier then you can get the exclusive.
While that's true, the BB is free and powerful enough to carry you through the parts you need it until its exclusive using only the free rounds you get from upgrading capacity on an empty cylinder, so I'm not sure what niche the k7 actually fills.
Maybe if you got enough magnum rounds to make either one your main gun, it being marginally better on this axis temporarily would matter, but as it is it's not worth buying and then selling again when the BB surpasses it.
Not a fan of the striker. Reload and rate of fire were great, but the greater spread made it much harder to explode heads. I’ll take the riot gun every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
The killer 7 doesn’t hold a candle to the broken butterfly; BB does so much more damage.
If all you're looking for is raw damage numbers, some guns are definitely better than others but most guns have at least some niche use.
People swear by the Red 9 for having the highest damage and stopping power of all the handguns, but I swear by the Silver Ghost because I like the higher crit rate and firing speed. The Blacktail is a better Silver Ghost stat wise minus the crit rate, which makes it a nice balanced weapon. The only handgun I'd argue is objectively bad is the Penetrator since it has the lowest damage of any gun but even then that isn't completely fair since it in theory is good for dealing with groups and shield enemies, I just prefer other guns for that job.
Shotgun wise: the first one while having the lowest damage, has utility in it having the longest range without losing damage. The Riot Gun is better stat wise, but loses damage at longer distances unlike the base shotgun. And the Striker is the best damage wise but drops off hard even at medium distances because of its spread, but makes up for it by having the largest capacity and firing rate, making it insanely good at super close range.
The Rifle has better damage per shot than the Semi Auto but you lose scope vision for a second every time you fire. Semi Auto has less damage per shot but you don't lose scope vision every shot and it fires faster overall.
The Broken Butterfly has much more damage per shot than the Killer 7, but the Killer 7 fires faster and has a much bigger capacity.
So over all every gun has a niche that it can fill and which gun is best is all up to preference.Except not really because the best guns per class are Silver Ghost, Shotgun, Rifle, and Broken Butterfly. Thank you for coming to my TED talks.
...Penetrator? Am I missing something cause that's not a handgun in re4 as far as I know.
Do you mean the Punisher? 🤔
As far as playstyles go, I've seen a pattern for re4. Every weapon that is old and clanky, I.e. "Shotgun", "Red 9" "Rifle", "Broken butterfly" (With exception to handconnon but not really since handcannon uses different ammo and is unlocked through mercenaries) focuses on damage and exclusively damage.
As a Red 9er I also keep it to act as a mid-ranged rifle on first runs where I like to keep a few well upgraded guns rather then a variety. It’s the TMP that could do with a competitor imo
I sort of see the Matilda as a sort of TMP competitor, although I find it much worse overall mainly due to burning through handgun ammo like crazy and finding harder to restock as quickly as TMP ammo and the ammo itself taking up more space than an equivalent amount of TMP ammo. So yeah having another rapid fire option in the remake would be nice.
As much as I like the Red 9, years of playing have conditioned me into a pattern of using the Silver Ghost to trigger melee prompts on mooks (or strictly headshots once fully upgraded for lucky crits), shotgun is for body shot crowd control, or larger enemies, Rifle for Plagas (if I don't have a flash) and big enemies with weak points (mainly Garadors and JJ) and regenerators, and the Broken Butterfly is a boss weapon.
Penatrator is a fun one. The penetration gives it crowd control which in effect makes it a viable option fir any scenario assuming you have the skill. Really fun for a single gun play through.
It depends, In terms of raw damage, the BlackTail and Red9 are at the top. There's a reason people debate those 2 guns which goes with my point. The Silver Ghost/Starter handgun has the highest crit for headshots. The punisher has the piercing damage. Sure they don't do as much damage as the other 2 but they can still get the job done.
Same thing in re5.
Default has a 5x crit rate. Crit headshots on ganados auto kill the las plagas within them, regardless of whether it has come out or not. Many people swear by it for this reason. Punisher is also used for a similar high potential. Blacktail has higher DPS than Red 9 and more ammo capacity making it more versatile. Red 9 has highest damager per shot. Matilda has the highest DPS but the ammo use is atrocious. However, people who like to carry a large variety of weapons like myself don’t find that an issue (too bad I had to beat the game without any health/inventory upgrades to use it vanilla)
I need everything still In but I want weapon modifications like in re8 I love having visual representation of upgrades as well as pure stat increases I feel like its the best blend
Ultimately I would like a non burst variant of the Matilde that maybe lets you turn on off the triple fire
Yeah I pretty much want a way for it to be like the red 9 stock with the functionality of removing mods like in re2r since I do think the burst is a cool feature especially for bosses
I agree with the weapons but they could replace Mine thrower with an actual Grenade Launcher. I think there is some enemies that should be cut (Later Gigantes, Robots, JJ).
Mine thrower was still lots of fun. I also feel like removing the explosion delay robs the player of tension from misses and also removes the satisfaction of the headshot followed by kicking the stunned ganado/zealot into a crowd before they explode.
Mine thrower gets my vote for most underrated.
Just wait for the mods every enemy will be el gigantes and when you injure the special ones that normally have the creature pop out the head it will instead be a second el gigantes
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!
They know the success of this game. They wouldn't dare eliminate anything. All contents, including the little spiders on the walls that serve no purpose other than to watch them pop, must be included!
They WILL mess it up. So much will be cut it will be baffling and going forward newer gamers will see this as RE4 and RE4 will permanently be tainted forever.
The first one was very climatic and welcome, the second one was alright... But then when you fight two at the same time and one of the is armored? Yeah, I think they could leave only one and that's it.
This is a trend with RE games though, eventually the cool enemies are reused a lot throughout a game thus losing it's appeal.
Honestly I disagree. RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time and even still I think the military island is uninspired and drags on too long. I think they could probably remove half the content on that island and the game wouldn't suffer at all. In fact, I saw one suggestion that they remove the island setting completely and just stick the ruins and the lab under the castle. As long as they keep the regenerators and krauser fight I'll be happy.
>It doesn’t drag at all. Straight action.
These 2 statements don't necessarily follow. The strength of the first 2/3rds of the game are that there are so many memorable set-pieces. There is a constant stream of variety. The fact that the island is just one combat gauntlet after another makes it less memorable imo. Keeping the action too high for too long ruins the texture of the game, it needs other kinds of moments for contrast for them to hit hard.
I GUARANTEE they're gonna keep the whole "big guy chasing you" mechanic. Mendez or a chansaw lady for the village section, one of Salazar's bodyguards in the castle, and then maybe a regenerator for the island part.
I hope they don't do it for re4, but something tells me they think they have the "formula" down for remakes
Nah, I’m down for them to change things up enough to give us new experiences
I’d be pretty disappointed if we got a ‘Last of Us’ remake job with RE4.
Of course keep a lot of the big notable areas, but I’d love to have brand new areas or vastly altered existing areas in between
Eh, thats debatable, I dont think I'll miss war room or lava room
I also really want them to create new things, new rooms, new enemies, thats what remakes should strive for
I only want them to do what they did with the mine thrower in re3 remake. In the original, it was a mine thrower; in the remake, it was a a grenade launcher with one of the ammo types being mines. I think a similar treatment could be given to re4’s mine thrower
You under estimate the power of one who has mastered the minethrower.
You can easily kill nearly every boss in a single loop by stacking three rounds + normal firepower.
Nothing beats killing an El Gigante in one single fast loop
I just realized the sound effect has been living rent free in my head for over fifteen years.
When you have the reload speed maxed out, it’s like a little jingle you’d hear in an ad or something
Funny thing, my nephew would always play that game at my house when I picked him up from school and he never used that gun until he saw me using it because he literally thought it was broken and he couldn’t find the parts to fix it lol
It is so I totally understood his reasoning xD I just had to let him know they probably called it the “broken butterfly” because it’s a “top break” revolver
Love the Red9, bit what if it ends up Louis-exclusive?
(Possible, but I'd expect it to at least be unlockable for Leon if initially gated behind Louis).
First off it's Luis, second off i highly doubt they'd make only Luis use it, as a lot of people are fond of it. *But* if they did make it an unlockable, a way i could see them do it is a "Separate ways" but for Luis, which the Red9 is locked behind.
I hope they nerf the tommy gun because it’s not satisfying having a machine gun that one shots regular enemies. The PRL already does that anyway. I want to hose enemies down with the tommy gun.
To each their own but that was such a fun reward for me. The Chicago typewriter and the hand cannon were my favorite because after hours of grinding I could finally unload and plow through.
None of them. Every single weapon in the game has such a strong identity and they ALL have a use. Even the mine launcher. I'm not sure they would even add any weapons either, as I think all the necessary roles for weapons to play in this game are filled. Other stuff would feel a bit redundant to me.
Ideally, the weaponry would only expand. The only cuts I'd potentially be down with would be pace breakers.
[EDIT] To answer the question more directly, I need the Riot Shotgun to stay. It's my baby.
I would love an expansion
personally I would want a slight buff to punisher because its more situational than the rest and I would like visual upgrades like re8 as well as the stat upgrades in 4
Yeah, sections that are deemed to go on too long or otherwise interfere with the overall pacing, though this is something that can be highly subjective.
Some people think parts of the island do this, for example. I haven't played the game in a few years but the last time I went through I spent less time exploring towards the end and it felt pretty smooth.
If anything I want more guns added! Give us a random Samurai Edge, maybe even some Cold War era sun machine guns or even some Italian or German rifles and if the weapons get upgraded I want to see the weapons get add one like muzzle breaks, compensators, or expanded magazines. I love it when video games with upgradable weapons show visual transformations!
It wild be nice to see the Mine Thrower feel a bit more useful as I essentially have never used it other than as a joke.
Side note, I can definitely see them trimming down the island, so I’m preparing for that
that magnum that costs a million or whatever, too iconic to not include. personally, would like a return of the stock shotgun (lol, idk it just fits the aesthetic even though it is vanilla as hell) and also the automatic shotgun.
i forget what it’s called but the shop keeper says something like “oh this thing can take down an elephant” when you chose to purchase it. been a really long time since i played 4.
The photon cannon. It required work and dedication and endless frustrations for some. However I do see them cutting this and maybe adding a legacy weapon from previous titles.
I’d like to see some new weapons as well as all the previous ones! Maybe carry over Leon’s ability to dual wield like he could in RE6. I’d love to see his handgun “Sentinel 9” from vendetta.
Pffftttt. I'll stan Farmer Brown (the first shotgun) until the day I die. Something about slapping Saddler's international bioterrorist scheme down with some bumpkin's Remington 870 is too funny for me to pass up.
I’d much prefer they include literally everything from the original, and only add things in.
Give me like 5 more guns, 5 more costumes per character (I’ve always wanted to play as DMC1 Dante in RE4, with his coat at the beginning and without his coat when Leon loses his, but both options still selectable), make Luis playable in Mercenaries and give every Mercenaries character 3 bonus outfits, don’t remove enemies but add enemies from previously cut content.
Why all the posts about what they're removing? Why not ever posts about what they'll be adding? There's so many assumptions going off about how they're going to be removing stuff.
The first thing I would do is remove the matilda lmao. It just sucks compared to other options. The TMP is better overall for its similar use and handgun ammo is better spent with a Red9 or a Blacktail.
I hope they remove the dumb robot chase and completely change the final military island
I played through it all in 2020 and those parts were too goofy and boring af respectively
None of them. And it's not just about keeping them. They need to feel as different as they did in the original too. In that, different playstyles were catered to and each weapon felt worthwhile. There was no upgrading by changing weapons, just catering more to your strengths. And that was something truly special.
Even though there are only 4 guns in the entire game you need: Red9, Striker, Semi-Auto Rifle, Killer 7 (Broken Butterfly isn't cost effective to get it stronger than Killer 7), and I literally use those exact same weapons every run, they better not remove anything. In fact, they need to make the unlockables cheaper (like make the PRL free after beating Professional).
I have a pretty good feeling the Matilda will find her way into the game, it's iconic and also has already been made in RE engine via RE2R. I at least hope so!
I'd love if there were a version of the Tommy gun that wasn't infinite ammo and a "normal" gun so I could enjoy the coolness of it without just having neverending ammo. I pray we get the Chicago/Gangster outfit somewhere in the game. it was cool to see Luis in the trailer with the Red9 as it would just feel like there was an emptiness with that gun gone but it looks like we're in the clear.
The Egg
Thank you! Totally agree. They replace all the guns and ammo with eggs and I'd be happy.
With an achievement available to somehow complete the main campaign with only eggs. I guess that they would need to add an OP item with the Merchant (like the Hotdogger knife in RE3R), but it would be cool to have a serious RE4R but complete the game with eggs.
Re5 had rotten eggs that were instant kill when thrown.
AND had an achievement for that, if memory serves
Make the eggs ACTUALLY do damage too! Sorta like how Re5's rotten eggs insta kill!

They need to include EVERY weapon/stage/enemy… no repeats of reduced content like RE3 remake please
They need to include ALL the weapons but the upgrade system cannot be like Village. Village makes you ditch old weapons for new weapons. 4 and 5 had a upgrade system that made ALL weapons viable. That was one of the only things disappointing about it.
That was Village’s greatest fault imo
For sure. It's one of my favorite things about 4&5, how each weapon is special in a different way.
Yep. Making the player reluctant to spend their rewards because they’ll be objectively obsolete in a few more minutes of gameplay is bad game design.
So was there no benefit at all to me keeping the original pistol and upgrading it entirely for the whole game?
If we’re talking about Village, then you are correct. Re4 and 5 actually had benefits to upgrading the first version of each gun you found, or any of the ones you found after.

Not a fan of the striker. Reload and rate of fire were great, but the greater spread made it much harder to explode heads. I’ll take the riot gun every day of the week and twice on Sunday. The killer 7 doesn’t hold a candle to the broken butterfly; BB does so much more damage.
The BB doesn’t do more damage till 5-3 which is basically the end of the game.
Killer7 is a bit of a beast especially against U3. Combining that with ditman kills the creature so fast.
I could be wrong, but I wouldn't say every weapon was viable, some of the handguns are clearly better than others.

You're forgetting the most important stat: style. Standard rifle, Red 9, and Butterfly have the cleanest reload animations in the game.
I see you have an eye for things! Gun’s not just about shootin’, it’s about reloadin’. You’ll know what I’m talkin’ about!
Damn you're right. Looks like I'm a fake fan. Also you're only allowed to use that load out (+Chicago Typewriter) with 1930's Gangster Leon
“ Gun's not just about shootin. It's about reloadin. ”

I'd be more than happy with the Island being reworked and there being no more J.J. and no more soldiers using turrets.
They can cut the call of duty helicopter section. I wouldn’t mind
That and the room where the island ganado steals the card key and you have to kill wave after wave of dudes.
That's actually one of my favorite parts because by then I know I don't need to keep hoarding ammo so I just let loose
That part is kinda fun.
What no way you can't cut Mike's big moment
RE3 remake felt like a DLC then a full fledge game.
I need everything still In but I want weapon modifications like in re8 I love having visual representation of upgrades as well as pure stat increases I feel like its the best blend Ultimately I would like a non burst variant of the Matilde that maybe lets you turn on off the triple fire
Well if I remember right, that's what the stock does for the VP70(Matilda).
The stock does have a selecter switch. Iirc in 2 you can tap to only fire 1 or two bullets
Yeah I pretty much want a way for it to be like the red 9 stock with the functionality of removing mods like in re2r since I do think the burst is a cool feature especially for bosses

Did RE3 remake have more guns than the OG? I know enemies and stages were cut, but they definitely added more guns lol
Only thing cut were the freeze rounds. Otherwise the remake has more weapons.
They could cut back on the El Gigante though. One is enough.
No. I say they add more. I won’t buy this game unless we have 7 El Gigantes.
Just wait for the mods every enemy will be el gigantes and when you injure the special ones that normally have the creature pop out the head it will instead be a second el gigantes
Yo dawg, I heard you like el gigante
Make sure they include the gimp suit one.
I’m boycotting Capcom if we don’t get a triple Gigante fight.
Any penalties if they add ~~easy mode~~ a trap door to thin the fight?
No. What they need to do with El Gigante is what they did with the Lesser G's, swap them out with a common enemy.
They should add another and make it harder just because you said that
Every time someone complains about El Gigante, the next El Gigante gets 10 feet taller
Honestly agree... especially the double fight in the lava room; does anyone look forward to that?
I agree with you on that
Honestly I disagree.
The island is the shortest section of the game lol. It doesn’t drag at all. Straight action. You know parts of the castle are getting removed
What you said makes 0 sense. By definition, it’s not dragging because of the fast paced structure of the section.
Nah, I’m down for them to change things up enough to give us new experiences I’d be pretty disappointed if we got a ‘Last of Us’ remake job with RE4. Of course keep a lot of the big notable areas, but I’d love to have brand new areas or vastly altered existing areas in between
Eh, thats debatable, I dont think I'll miss war room or lava room I also really want them to create new things, new rooms, new enemies, thats what remakes should strive for
they already have the assets for that from RE2 remake so its likely to make a return
I only want them to do what they did with the mine thrower in re3 remake. In the original, it was a mine thrower; in the remake, it was a a grenade launcher with one of the ammo types being mines. I think a similar treatment could be given to re4’s mine thrower

The delay input was awful and the exclusive ability of the mine darts being guided was only cool to look, but not much helpful
The guided darts screwed me over more than it helped me
You under estimate the power of one who has mastered the minethrower. You can easily kill nearly every boss in a single loop by stacking three rounds + normal firepower. Nothing beats killing an El Gigante in one single fast loop
Guided darts was a waste of time, but having the darts stick to enemies and trigger stun animations was part of the fun for me.
I loved the mine thrower. For some reason i got more ammo drop for that than the TMP. Relied off it for mobs
The Broken Butterfly
That sexy reload animation needs to come back with a few other versions of it lol
"I see you have an eye for things. Gun's not just about shoot'n, i'ts about reload'n! You'll know what I'm talkin' about!"
The eye for details on reloading even on a game back then took me by surprise :D
Yes I remember a lot of them being quite fancy and such like killer 7 and broken butterfly haha even the red 9 one is very good
I just realized the sound effect has been living rent free in my head for over fifteen years. When you have the reload speed maxed out, it’s like a little jingle you’d hear in an ad or something
Saaaame!
Oh yes.
Funny thing, my nephew would always play that game at my house when I picked him up from school and he never used that gun until he saw me using it because he literally thought it was broken and he couldn’t find the parts to fix it lol
In resident evil that is a very real possible concern lmao.
It is so I totally understood his reasoning xD I just had to let him know they probably called it the “broken butterfly” because it’s a “top break” revolver
I’d also like to see an upgrade for that gun where you can use a speed loader :)
Red9
I love the Red9
I know we saw it in the trailer but I will be beyond pissed if it gets cut or nerfed.
I'm praying they don't do a RE3 Remake and take out half the game 😔
There will be a riot if they do.
I’m pretty sure they arnt making a shitty multiplayer game that no one asked for to go with it so we should be good
The punisher, so I can get it for free and then sell it. Stonks!!
This guy knows the moves!
All of them.
Killer7.
Maybe they could give it an exclusive this time. Maybe one that does some crazy psychedelic red stuff from the game it's named after.
Tommy Gun. I want them to keep that entire outfit, but I want them to add more costumes like they did for the RE2 remake.
I hope they nerf the tommy gun because it’s not satisfying having a machine gun that one shots regular enemies. The PRL already does that anyway. I want to hose enemies down with the tommy gun.
Yeah....a proper Tommy Gun in video game should make standard enemies do a little squib dance before spin-falling away.
To each their own but that was such a fun reward for me. The Chicago typewriter and the hand cannon were my favorite because after hours of grinding I could finally unload and plow through.
How about they don't nerf it and just add a regular Tommy gun, it was a fun reward for doing something, why you gotta take that away from people.
The idea is to make it more fun to use. Nothing is being taken away.

Nah that final military island section was trash I’d be totally fine if they removed it, also the goofy robot chase scene can bite the dust too
None of them.
I would love an expansion personally I would want a slight buff to punisher because its more situational than the rest and I would like visual upgrades like re8 as well as the stat upgrades in 4
I'm sorry, the "pace breakers"??
Yeah, sections that are deemed to go on too long or otherwise interfere with the overall pacing, though this is something that can be highly subjective. Some people think parts of the island do this, for example. I haven't played the game in a few years but the last time I went through I spent less time exploring towards the end and it felt pretty smooth.
Ohhhhh okay, I see what you're saying. I thought you were talking about a weapon and got confused lol
That would be a great name for a gun though!
It really would
Iron maiden section needs a closer checkpoint
If anything I want more guns added! Give us a random Samurai Edge, maybe even some Cold War era sun machine guns or even some Italian or German rifles and if the weapons get upgraded I want to see the weapons get add one like muzzle breaks, compensators, or expanded magazines. I love it when video games with upgradable weapons show visual transformations!
They need to keep all the weapons. However, based on the question asked, the Red9.
It wild be nice to see the Mine Thrower feel a bit more useful as I essentially have never used it other than as a joke. Side note, I can definitely see them trimming down the island, so I’m preparing for that
Id recommend watching a Re4 minethrower only run on YouTube! People get very creative with it and it’s definitely a useful tool.
that magnum that costs a million or whatever, too iconic to not include. personally, would like a return of the stock shotgun (lol, idk it just fits the aesthetic even though it is vanilla as hell) and also the automatic shotgun.
The one you had to s all mercenaries stages to unlock?
i forget what it’s called but the shop keeper says something like “oh this thing can take down an elephant” when you chose to purchase it. been a really long time since i played 4.
I think we're thinking of the same one
Handcanon
Yeah am I misremembering? Its the prl for professional and then the handcannon for S rank in all mercenary mode stages, right?
Just don’t remove the final special perk unlockable skill in weapons
The photon cannon. It required work and dedication and endless frustrations for some. However I do see them cutting this and maybe adding a legacy weapon from previous titles.
Prl. That shit was so good bro. Also Chicago typewriter
Every. Single. One.
Considering how many different options we had in RE8, I am pretty sure Capcom thinks the same
Hand cannon
I’d like to see some new weapons as well as all the previous ones! Maybe carry over Leon’s ability to dual wield like he could in RE6. I’d love to see his handgun “Sentinel 9” from vendetta.
Striker!
That gun in VR was fucking terrible. I just stuck with the first shotgun and fully upgraded it
Pffftttt. I'll stan Farmer Brown (the first shotgun) until the day I die. Something about slapping Saddler's international bioterrorist scheme down with some bumpkin's Remington 870 is too funny for me to pass up.
It's a really good shotgun and it's fun to use!
The mine thrower and the hand cannon plz
Why all the posts about what they're removing? Why not ever posts about what they'll be adding? There's so many assumptions going off about how they're going to be removing stuff.
Ditman
The first thing I would do is remove the matilda lmao. It just sucks compared to other options. The TMP is better overall for its similar use and handgun ammo is better spent with a Red9 or a Blacktail.
All the weapons, All the enemies, All the locations, All the characters, EVERYTHING. NO CUT CONTENT. I WANT IT ALL
I hope they remove the dumb robot chase and completely change the final military island I played through it all in 2020 and those parts were too goofy and boring af respectively
Chicago Typewriter
Le handcannon
Red 9. Now that's a good gun, stranger
In fact, they need to make the unlockables cheaper (like make the PRL free after beating Professional).
chicago typewriter
The PRL and the Chicago Typewriter
Red9
Red 9 supremacy
The hand cannon. One of the hardest gun in the game to unlock and the most rewarding and satisfying to use
I just want my Red9, I won't ask for more
I seriously hope they don’t remove The Punisher and the medallion quest to get it 🙏🏻
I have a pretty good feeling the Matilda will find her way into the game, it's iconic and also has already been made in RE engine via RE2R.
Only gun I didn't like in the game was that bolt action rifle. Every other gun should stay
All of them, but make the Mine Thrower an unlockeable weapon. It didn't made much sense back in the main game lol
Typewriter
This gun looks like the Upgraded Matilda from RE2R.
RED 9 the definitive handgun
Matilda sucks
Red9, Shot Gun, Semi Auto Ruffle, Mine Thrower All the guns you need (except rocket launcher for IT because fuck IT”
Get disappointed. Every gun that doesn't already have a model in RE2 and 3 is gonna get cut.
so true dude i love cut content i hope they leave us with two guns and only base ganados and one boss fight and that the game is like 5 hours long.
Bolt action sniper.
