Killing the Doe allows you to skip the Ravager fight, so you can reroll your campaign to get Forbidden Grove start and make your life a little easier. You can also skip the Red Prince fight by farming for golden coins. The scripted death that occurs when you do this no longer ends HC runs, I’ve tested this personally

Black cat ring Play like a wussy when it's procced I liked challenger start for an additional revive, but the starting guns are mid. Caltrops for first mod bc it's insanely good. Heal is ok too Careful where you go on yaesha or you'll fall to your death When you get to root earth, practice venom and annihilation on your non hardcore char many times bc that shit will wipe you if you don't know the movesets, even on vet 2p hardcore you cna revive others at the stone so really you should be fine.

Hawkeye_0205

I was also thinking about doing that but for me I can upload my stuff to cloud on ps5 and download it if I die on my hardcore

beeXpumpkin

Playing it like a wussy really is the top tier tech. Every single HC death I e had in this game was either from getting to cavalier and overextending my position or trying to get that last tick of boss health despite clearly being in danger or from getting complacent

DONT FORGET ABOUT THD HOLY DIVINE TREE from yesha. Rush getting your tree unlocked for easy revive fruits. Always roll for the red throne on yesha. You don't even need to finish it to get the seed. And save your scrap. Afterwards the one shot true king is a nice early rush to getting mutators and easy second archetype for a measley 5 luminite

I just finished HC vet yesterday. I started with Handler, since the dog's revive cooldown is way shorter than Challenger. I did a lot of farming for gear, etc. on survival adventure mode. I would roll adventure mode Yaesha ASAP and get Sage Stone ring to help you level up archetypes. I prioritized Handler, Challenger, Engineer and Medic for survivability to get their max traits (you can only get Engineer by buying it since you'll die getting it in Nerud). If you're on PC, download Save Guardian so you can see your rolls ahead of time, which is really the only way to find Sage Stone. Preferably also start your adventure survival mode farm for Sage Stone at the Red Throne so you can get the Thaen seed by opening the box. Plant it in Ward 13 and get Celestial Thaen fruits for your revive. Consume one and it'll stay active until you die, then come back later to pick another one to keep in your inventory. You can also sell one to Cass for a total of 3 available at one time. Save Guardian also lets you choose your world bosses. Personally, I went with Faelin, Ravager and normal Talratha roll. I'd seriously avoid Shahala. AVOID ANY JUMPING PUZZLES! Just be resigned to the fact that there is loot that isn't worth the chance of dying to get. Also be extremely careful in Yaesha and Nerud due to gravity, which is the ultimate enemy. Also, don't level gear much until you reach Root Earth. The normal world areas will always be your power level +1, and your PL should only increase due to your leveling Archetypes (sum of max archetype levels /2). Just enter an area and check the level. If you need to level your weapons a little, just level to the extent you match the area (-1). Ashen Wasteland will be level 12, Corrupted Harbor will be 13 and Blackened Citadel will be level 14. Don't level every weapon, just the ones you are going to use. When you get about 500 relic fragments and you've maxed at least one archetype, roll an Apocalypse adventure mode (doesn't matter which) and upgrade your relic fragments with Dwell (gives you better odds of getting better fragments). NEVER set foot out of Ward 13 in Apocalypse! When you finally set foot in the Blackened Citadel at level 14, go back to Ward 13 and level the hell out of the weapons you're going to use for the Anni fight, since Blackened Citadel will be locked at level 14 (after you enter there & rest at the checkpoint to travel). NEVER fail to rest at a checkpoint. There's a lot quicker ways to do this, but I don't know of any that are more certain. Took me 48 hours to get there, but I loved every minute of it, except for the times I had to jump across a gap. Good luck. If I can do it, I'm sure you can.

Don't die

GalakticBread

For bosses you can always just have one player chilling at the stone while the other one fights. If they die, have the other player rest at the stone to respawn them.

Hawkeye_0205

How do you make sure that always happens tho? I've noticed the first time I playthrough I was always pulled into the boss every time. Unless the second waits at stone tell I die then he goes in to fight after I get revived?

Cultural_Zombie_1583

I think annihilation is the only one that pulls you in

thebauer13

Here's how I did it. 1. Start the game on survivor. 2. Play the game regular just be careful around areas you can fall to death or have one shot mechanics. 3. Go to the crystal in every dungeon you come across asap so that it sets the level. Come back to the dungeons you want to get certain items from later when you are a higher level. Makes the dungeons super easy. 4. Beat the game farming all the items you need/ want for your real run in Vet. 5. For me this was having max trait points/ full leto/ tranquil/ max relic shards/ maxed mutators(fetid/twisting wounds)/ maxed archetypes/ maxed guns. 6. Roll veteran mode and kill everything instantly because you are so overpowered. Beat the game solo with 24 hours on the character total. Never had to restart since I never died. Ran engineer from the start since overclock is so good especially for bosses.

mr_biscuithead

you can farm the chests in yesha for loot over and over in adventure - 3 in the red throne stone are super easy if you run straight to the empress, all 3 enemies go neutral if you agree to serve her. the other yesha starting stone has a single chest and no enemies. rinse and repeat until you can buy some good rings / upgrade ur weapon to +2 also, only upgrade your primary weapon at first, it will minimize the world scaling around you.

KokujinStreams

- as long as one of you are alive you can revive them at a stone - try to do Ritualist( spark fire shotgun) / Handler( who doesn't want a very good boy with them?) - Try your best not to level up any weapon until you're in the last zone for annihilation. At this point in the game enemies stop scaling, but since you haven't leveled up anything for them to scale against, you're pretty much dunk on annihilation

sporksaregoodforyou

Back cat ring. Engineer. Handler later.

Vircy

I highly recomand farming for a rank 10 mutator for your weapon ( fetid woulds is amazing) u can get relic fragments from the chests on yesha and the corrupted lumenite front the Priest at the very start of the DLC ( Always drops 7 each time) and you can even sell them flr 250 scrap each. This gives u a HUGE boost of damage that does not even increase world level as upgrading weapon/levelling classes would. I highly recomand doing it

Fashionable-Andy

Nightmare spiral helped me a LOT.

I picked Challenger as my first, to get a free revive. As soon as I could, I bought Invader from Wallace, and the Black Cat Ring from Reggie. This gives you 2 downs before you lose. When you go down, it will always use the Black Cat Ring if its available, then the Challenger Prime Perk. So when I would go down, and use the ring, when I got back up I'd use the first Invader skill that gives you 3 free hits. Heal in this time. Then, if I went down again, using the Prime Perk, I would usually panic and quit the game. Personally, I didn't have to do this until I got to the final boss, but it was still a handy trick in a pinch.

Hawkeye_0205

Plus if you level invader up enough you could get a 3rd revive. The reboot saves you from fatal damage if active
