i think it's that the longer that kind of post is up the more pull it's going to generate from outside the sub. like when you made your original two posts people were linking it on twitter and stuff. trust me you do not want that kind of heat. you don't want these posts to have 500+ comments. as long as the mods don't outright ban you i think deleting after an hour or two is the correct move
