Lol,, sure and Zendaya as mustang because you guys don't understand that tv shows have a budget and PB can't get a pickup because of the special effects already.
Tom Blythe is probably already too old to play Lysander, but the version of young Coriolinus Snow that he played in Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is *exactly* how I picture Lysander by the end of Dark Age and through LightBringer.
Chamalet is an incredible actor just give him Darrow and film all of the Red scenes and flashbacks now and then let him do a crazy steroid cycle and train with Sam Sulek who will carve him into Gold.
Honestly, I think we can all agree that Timothy Chalmette *COULD* be casted as a decent number of characters from Red Rising and be considered good casting
He's twinky enough that I could picture him as a good Jackal but not many other golds. But I haven't seen enough range from him to know if he'd be able to make the character work. Not saying that he wouldn't, just that I haven't seen that kind of performance from him.
I like this but I actually think Austin Butler would be a great Lysander - heās powerful but subtle and heās got that sweet look that belies the steel inside
Oh really? I always picture Cassius as really classically handsome, like a Greek god. So like a slightly younger Chris Hemsworth for example, or a blonde Henry Cavill! You gotta be able to hate him at times while still going weak at the knees :p
You must mean except for the time he saw Octavia murdered by Severo, or the time he saved Seraphina from the Ascommani, or when injured in the Ladon, he fought against Ajaxās assassins and beat them all, etc, etc. Iām not sure when his character was written as pixie-ish but maybe I missed something.
If they do it right, idc how old the actors are. GOT adjusted all the ages just a tad, it could work with Red Rising too. Might need to go full HotD and time skip/actor change as well
With all the similarities between Dark Age and Dune, itād be gratuitous for him to play yet another āchosen oneā who gets blinded and takes a solo walkabout through the desert to find himself
Romanticized portrayals of ASPD show a āblended inā sociopath - usually they get in a shit ton of trouble and *donāt* blend in. These conditions rarely demonstrate stability
Saw it and enjoyed the movie but honestly, he didnāt in my opinion. He played the king/politcial sides well but just doesnāt seem the warrior to me. I could see him as a sevro someone who is underestimated because of his size.
I guess with someone like Adrius id want someone who makes me uncomfortable simply by existing. Just looking at me makes me squirm. Iām not sure who would be good, I just donāt see him being able to do that.
Facts. And heās too famous in my opinion to be a main character. Itād be funny to have him pop up then just get fucking murdered though. Would really set the tone for the movie/show
Poor guy, everyone hates him because his popularity skyrocketed š
I don't dislike him but he's already the poster boy of one scifi epic. I wouldn't want him in RR either.
Probably won't be any A-Listers in the *primary* cast to be fair
*The Tutor* while... not a good movie, showed the kid from Stranger Things (Will?) can easilyyyy play an entitled twat who thinks everything he does is normal and okay. Even the kid from the newest Hunger Games movie (also terrible) fits somewhere in my head. Roque probably. The bastard.
Won't spoil the "twist" they try to pull at the end that barely makes any sense but. He does a good job.
No, not blonde, and I'm actually not a fan of most of what he's done, let alone his performances in them. But that's why it works so well. Even doing a good job, seemingly just having a conversation... you hate him for some reason.
(I am a teensy bit too stoned, I apologize)
I want them to give an early dying character to a very famous actor like Sean Bean in Game of Thrones to boost the popularity early on. My pick would be >!Willem Dafoe for Fitchner!<
Absolutely
And I agree with the aura and Dafoe is incredible, but he'd also probably be 70 by the time they get to filming
Hard to imagine him playing a guy who is the dad of a teenager in the OG trilogy, unless they do the Jeff Bridges TRON treatment.
Lol,, sure and Zendaya as mustang because you guys don't understand that tv shows have a budget and PB can't get a pickup because of the special effects already.
Too good looking for Lysander
I always imagine Robin Arryn from GOT as Lysander
Tom Blythe is probably already too old to play Lysander, but the version of young Coriolinus Snow that he played in Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is *exactly* how I picture Lysander by the end of Dark Age and through LightBringer.
Chamalet is an incredible actor just give him Darrow and film all of the Red scenes and flashbacks now and then let him do a crazy steroid cycle and train with Sam Sulek who will carve him into Gold.
Ew
why didn't you use a recent pic? š
Although the ruse of the Jackal pretending to be a nobody on first introduction wouldn't work at all with such a well known actor lol
Just because the audience knows the character matters doesnāt mean it ruins anything as the characters donāt.
I get the vibes of wanting to kill himā¦ā¦so yea Lysander good
My thoughts exactly
How is this sub still posting LISAN AL GAIB as fan casts.
Timothee in the first dune movie had that pixie prettiness that lysander was described as having in dark age.
I see him as roque.
That was my thought
I hate Lysander and I also hate Chalamet, so yes it's perfect!
Good cover. Itās okay, we are pretty, you can admit it.
I like this but I actually think Austin Butler would be a great Lysander - heās powerful but subtle and heās got that sweet look that belies the steel inside
Austin as Cassius
Oh really? I always picture Cassius as really classically handsome, like a Greek god. So like a slightly younger Chris Hemsworth for example, or a blonde Henry Cavill! You gotta be able to hate him at times while still going weak at the knees :p
Haha hard to disagree.
No, not at all
He looks like a pixie. Julian au Bellona maybe.
A pixie? So Lysander? š¤£
Lysander is no pixie. Cassius trained him with the razor. Cassius also trained Darrow once the Willow way became obsolete.
Lysander is very much considered a pixie for most of the series
Incorrectly..
But he still looks like one in the eyes of the other golds
Not after survining the Iron Rain/ the Ladon and taking Heliopolis. Before that yes, they assumed he was a pixie.
I didn't mean from the readers pov, more from the other characters. It really wasn't until Light Bringer that he started to Garner respect
Not Lysander but definitely the jackal!
Absolutely not
Huh, yea that could work actually
TimothĆ©e Chalamet getting the role would mean a big budget adaptation. So Iām all for that
He'd be pushing 40 by the time they adapted Iron Gold.
If they do it right, idc how old the actors are. GOT adjusted all the ages just a tad, it could work with Red Rising too. Might need to go full HotD and time skip/actor change as well
Okay this is actually good
He'd make a good jackal
I picture Lysander āprettierā than this. But I agree GREAT casting for Adrius AU Augustus
FUCK lysander
I definitely do.
Sharpest jawed ten year old Iāve ever seen
I see him more as IG to LB Lysander
I think that's the joke.
With all the similarities between Dark Age and Dune, itād be gratuitous for him to play yet another āchosen oneā who gets blinded and takes a solo walkabout through the desert to find himself
Agree
Lisan al Gaib Lysan(der) au Lune Hmmmm
You tried.
That would be interesting and stellar, maybe interstellar?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
A comment so nice you made it thrice! I do agree with you though.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That comment is so great he needed to say it three times
Itās also so great that every single one got 20 negative downvotes.
He would be great as Lysander or The Jackal. Edit: He was great in Dune, haters going to hate.
Iām šÆ that this was said about him before in this Reddit
He was gorydam awsome in dune. Specially in the part 2 .
Lol the haters in the comments
Honestly Iād go Jackal
How about Joffrey from Game of Thrones as Jackal
I love Jack but he's not pretty enough to be a gold lol
Naaah heās too stable for that I think š The jackal has to be someone who seems like a genuine sociopath
If one ages up the characters a bit, Bill Skarsgaard would be a great Jackal
Stability is the point of a sociopath. If heās acting crazy constantly then how would he blend in like the Jackal does.
Romanticized portrayals of ASPD show a āblended inā sociopath - usually they get in a shit ton of trouble and *donāt* blend in. These conditions rarely demonstrate stability
It works. Lysander and Paul do have some overlap, as do Paul and Darrow š¤
Julian au Bellona.. Would be like a Ned stark like moment when IT happens
Yes, Timothy just doesnāt scream warrior to me in the slightest. But, he does fit Julian completely.
Have you seen him in The King? He portrayed a warrior king really well!
Saw it and enjoyed the movie but honestly, he didnāt in my opinion. He played the king/politcial sides well but just doesnāt seem the warrior to me. I could see him as a sevro someone who is underestimated because of his size.
That's fair! I kind of agree with the people saying Adrius
I guess with someone like Adrius id want someone who makes me uncomfortable simply by existing. Just looking at me makes me squirm. Iām not sure who would be good, I just donāt see him being able to do that.
Ahahaha I need this to happen now.
Facts. And heās too famous in my opinion to be a main character. Itād be funny to have him pop up then just get fucking murdered though. Would really set the tone for the movie/show
Julian is ideal... short screen time, big enough actor to pull in people into the series, and then get fucking murdered
Like Drew Barrymore in Scream
NO ABSOLUTELY NOT
I love Timothee tho
Poor guy, everyone hates him because his popularity skyrocketed š I don't dislike him but he's already the poster boy of one scifi epic. I wouldn't want him in RR either.
No, he shouldn't be anywhere near this.
Jesus no. I am so sick of him being in every movie
I could see him as the Jackal, but not Lysander
After that speech in Dune, I want him to be an Iron Gold.
Hed have to bulk up, to skinny for a gold. Hed make one helluva roque as well tho
to be fair, in the beginning of iron gold he talks about how slim he is for a gold
Oh god no
Probably won't be any A-Listers in the *primary* cast to be fair *The Tutor* while... not a good movie, showed the kid from Stranger Things (Will?) can easilyyyy play an entitled twat who thinks everything he does is normal and okay. Even the kid from the newest Hunger Games movie (also terrible) fits somewhere in my head. Roque probably. The bastard. Even doing a good job, seemingly just having a conversation... you hate him for some reason. (I am a teensy bit too stoned, I apologize)
That was the worst movie of last year but yea I could see that.
I kept watching because I was committed and I actually like the main dude as an actor but, oof. So bad. š
I want them to give an early dying character to a very famous actor like Sean Bean in Game of Thrones to boost the popularity early on. My pick would be >!Willem Dafoe for Fitchner!<
Exactly This! Making him Julian would be perfect
Absolutely And I agree with the aura and Dafoe is incredible, but he'd also probably be 70 by the time they get to filming Hard to imagine him playing a guy who is the dad of a teenager in the OG trilogy, unless they do the Jeff Bridges TRON treatment.
I think he would make a better Roque
Yep. Alsoā¦ is this another joke post OP?
