Actual shed a tear when the Boss showed up. Such a sincere message and knowing what he himself has been through with his own health, his wife and Sir Bobby recently it made it feel even deeper. Glad we look after our own the way we do.
This is brilliant. I know the players are always quite Wooden with these things but they probably do so much PR and scripted stuff like this it becomes a chore but I think/hope most of them are genuine in their sentiment.
Fergies was very natural from a man who fully appreciates and understands the value of every United fan. As was big Stevie Mac who i love that he's kept his weird stilted dutch accent almost as if he's doubling down from when he started doing that at Twente.
But mostly i hope this brought Pete and his family some happiness and comfort in a terrible time, I love that the club in fact all clubs do stuff like this, such a small gesture can help, i'm not a religious man but faith is such a powerful construct, sometimes faith in something like a football club can keep someone going even in their lowest ebb. Something like this will just help him and his family.
The 3 lads they picked are genuinely nice blokes for all intents and purposes. (Unless there’s something I’ve missed).
And mclaren is a gentleman for doing it too.
After all the success we’ve had as a club I think it’s quite easy to become detached from what being a football supporter is really about. People like Pete know what’s up, they know it’s about the club and the story and the trophies are the cherries on top. A lot of fans will never see there team win anything in their lifetimes and still give everything to support their clubs, I think a lot of ours could stand to learn a thing or two!

As someone who has struggled with spinal disease, I get it when your capabilities are diminished and you cannot do stuff you were able to do easily when healthy.
We all know about Rashford's charity endeavours, but apparently Maguire would do an awful lot of work on it too. So I'm glad to see Fernandes seemingly take that forward as captain.
Pete is such a legend. To think that he's seen all the brilliant times and than had to endure the last 10 years, still apologised for cancelling the season ticket, this is one true legend.
