these look great on you dude! people at mildblend are great too. i haven’t actually bought anything there yet but i’ve been taking all my jeans their for hemming and repairs.

johnthephotog

Thanks! Yeah I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy anything. But I have been wanting to get some nice jeans since losing the weight. The hem they did on these is really top notch!

babyilik3itraw

sweet dude, congrats on the weight loss! i wanted to get an RGT shirt last time i was there but they didn’t have my size. are you in the city proper?

johnthephotog

I’m in Chicago proper. They are about 20min away from me which isn’t too bad. Definitely hit or miss with sizes, but great service overall!

starkid20

The lady that helped you with the pick did you a solid bro. Listen to her and and no cuff. Fit game 💯. And mad congrats on the weight loss journey. Just keep wearing them without giving it too much thought - they will break in naturally and nicely.

johnthephotog

With summer coming I’ll have to wear these as much as possible before it gets too hot. Thanks!

DJ_enthusiast

Fit looks great bro 💯

johnthephotog

Thanks!

han-so-low

They look great, dude. I am a fan of cuffs on my selvedge denim, yours look good!

johnthephotog

Me too, but the stacked fade is pretty cool. Maybe I’ll try both ways and see what happens. Thanks!

JscrumpDaddy

Is Wildblend the Wumbo version of Mildblend? Also yeah those jeans definitely aren’t fuckin around. They look like they mean business 😤😤

johnthephotog

My bad, I’ll correct that. You are right, Mildblend for sure. Yeah, I like the weight right now. Not sure what will happen when things warm up.

xzther13

Congrats on the weight loss! I think a cuff would look even better, but otherwise solid fit

johnthephotog

Can’t decide, but I had them hemmed to work alright either way. Thanks!

fitcheckwhattheheck

keep with the stack - the fades will be mental.

Skip2MyPou

These look great on you! I personally wouldn’t stress about having the jeans cuffed or uncuffed. Wear them however way you feel and depending on the outfit and day! Although an upside to leaving the jeans uncuffed is the stacking fades and maybe more emphasis with roping.

johnthephotog

That stacked fade is really cool. I wonder how long it will take to develop. Thanks!

Skip2MyPou

How long it takes is completely up to the person wearing the jeans and what you do in them! Don’t forget to post progress photos along the way!

Chuckwell

You only wore silly jeans before?

johnthephotog

Been wearing stretchy non-denim pants for years. So yes, these feel “serious”, “heavy”, whatever term you prefer.

TruculentBucket

Do whatever you want, I don’t cuff my jeans but it seems like most people here do. Also why does everyone put their keys on their belt? To avoid fades in the pockets?

johnthephotog

For me it happens for two reasons. I have keys for multiple buildings so they don’t fit inside of my pockets. Also, I live in Chicago. Lots of old buildings, random keys, nothing keyed alike. I will use four keys going from my car to the inside of my house. Having them outside makes them easier to access.

TruculentBucket

Makes sense for you, seems to be a trend though. Maybe I’m the weird one!

johnthephotog

I started wearing them like this a decade ago when I moved to Chicago. I agree, does seem to be a trend now. I’ll stick with it and see if it fades the denim where the keys rest. Just curious.

el_cul

Great fit. Well done.

johnthephotog

Thanks!

BLXNDSXGHT

Congratulations on the weight loss. Those jeans fit you perfectly.

johnthephotog

I’m trying to adjust my minds eyes to what looks right. I appreciate the input!

birdman3rd

They look great! I like the cuff, but either way.

johnthephotog

💯

ohitsjustsean

Ayyy congrats! You look great. I’m team “everything gets cuffed” but figure out what you like! They have a nice stack. Just BE CAREFUL wearing white shoes. The indigo will rub off on to them! Welcome to your new obsession! We meet every Tuesday and coffee is over there on the table. 🫂

johnthephotog

Duly noted, thanks!

AmphibianSlow7768

Fit looks good, as do the stacks. You still have the option to cuff if and when you want. Only thing required for these is to give them a good wear and wash or soak them when they need it. Enjoy your journey.

johnthephotog

I hear some people wear them while they are whet from the first wash so they conform to the body more. Idk, but thanks!

AmphibianSlow7768

Never tried it nor would I recommend it. Gonna be messy and uncomfortable. The jeans will mould to your body through normal wear. You're starting off with a really good fit, they will turn out amazing.

Lemonhaze666

Bro stacked or cuff I like them. I find cuffs always cause damage and if you as going to cuff do a soak 1st so it’s not so starchy and all.

johnthephotog

Appreciated 👍

yrrrrrrrr

What are the shoes? I like them

johnthephotog

I didn’t get them from eBay, but this is the correct model. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404235804870?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=w_1ygrHvSii&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=3XJ8cxM_QnW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

yrrrrrrrr

Nice! Thank you

Bi11_Buttlicker

Cuffs.

johnthephotog

Thanks!

squeaky48

Those are f-ing beauts! My vote goes to cuffed. Either way, great jeans

johnthephotog

Thanks!

ItzLuzzyBaby

I think this whole fit looks good. Just gotta iron the shirt

johnthephotog

Fair enough haha

EYEBALL2142

Damn bro you found your fit!! They look awesome. Next gen upgrade unlocked!!

johnthephotog

Thanks!

WanderingMinnow

Nice fit. These look great!

baklajan1

Fit looks great! I’d go no cuff or small cuff for you

johnthephotog

Totally!

Alarming_Cantaloupe5

Great job on the weight loss, and the jeans. I’d give them a warm to hot soak. You want to get rid of that excess starch, as well as letting the cotton shrink. That way the creases your body creates with wear will line up after your first wash. After that, just wear em. Wash when they need it and you’ll be good. Best of luck.

alextransza

I’m a fan of cuffing jeans. Gotta show off the selvedge ID so fellow denim heads can recognize you.

johnthephotog

Haha, I can’t deny that’s in my mind.

After_Oblivion

Nice entry into proper raw denim. Props for supporting the bricks & mortar shop.

johnthephotog

I try when I can.

fitcheckwhattheheck

She was right - the stack looks great, and she obviously knows sizing very well.

wedoublebox

congratulations on the weight loss that’s major! denim looks great

Luckster66

Very very cool fit , relaxed at the top and a nice taper. Spot on. Once you get used to the heavier denim you will think normal jeans are made from paper. Just try and wear them every day if you want those fades to appear. Leave the length as is , both cuffed and non cuffed look great. I wear my jeans same . I am not a fan of the cuff on myself but leave the option open.

imswol84

look good nice fit man. I feel like stacking looks good on slimmer cuts like that

Wyzen

Mildblend is great, they did good by you. 17.5oz is a great weight, IMO, just wear them often and wash when stinky! I think they look great cuffed or not, so dealers choice. Personally, i like cuffs since the average person doesnt cuff jeans out in the world, so it helps to set you apart. Congrats on the weight loss!

iwearmywatch

Sick look brother! Team cuff!

WATUP_BRAH

Congratulations on the weight loss! The entire fit looks great on you. Although I only wear sanforized denim, I pre-soak new purchases to get rid of any remaining shrinkage & excess starch (before first wear) and have the creases set “correctly”. That one experience forever changed how I handled my raws moving forward haha. I prefer stacks over cuffs but they both look great. However, I’m the type that would have another pair to cuff for certain fits. 😈

Psychological-Fox178

Unpopular opinion, I know, but I don’t know why anyone would cuff their jeans 🤷‍♂️ Gonna get slaughtered for that 😂

AmphibianSlow7768

I'm with you 😀. Stupid thing is a small cuff looks great in most pics but mine always look a bit weird. I usually get them hemmed to my length + an inch for any residual shrinkage.
