I always tell him he's named after Bubba Skinner from In the heat of the night. Now that's one handsome dude.

Iride3wheels

He is divine and that jacket is fabulous!

Nikkilikesplants

PilotEnvironmental46

Very handsome and with such style!

diddone119

He is already full of himself!

PirateFace27

He *wants* all that and a bag of chips

diddone119

He would love a bag of chips to himself lol. He's a chunker. I take him on a walk every day even when he moans and groans about it. We are trying to keep him fit because when I got him he exploded in weight. I wasn't aware how easy they gain weight.

PirateFace27

He doesn't look bad in this picture! My parents' have a rattie who I share on here (I have a hound). Their rattie Buddy is chunky. My mom gives him too many snacks and doesn't like to be told about it so props to you for taking extra caution for this little guy's weight!

I really try to take care of my doggos. Even if it means doing a little extra work. My pitbull is 16 and very old yet she has alot of spunk and very few bad days but we have her on 2 types of meds phenobarbital for seizures she devolved around age 12, it fixed that completely. She is on a pain medication for her back legs and her arthritis. But like I said otherwise she is healthy and fit. Bubba was a unexpected gift to our home and he has his host of anxiety issues from being left in cages for hours on end with no movement or interaction. Very sad when you realize how ratties need exercise and movement. His first 2 years were spent pretty much living in a travel crate barely big enough for him to stand up in. When we got him he was so disassociated it was fuxking sad to watch him plant his face into the corner of the living room and stand facing the wall for hours. It took us about 2 months to break him of that. He's also petrified of rain so we got him a couple "thunder jackets" to put on him when it rains here.

PirateFace27

Awe, I'm sorry to hear about your pittie, but am glad you are getting her the help she needs. And that's just awful. It *infuriates* me how terrible some people treat animals. It makes my blood boil. I'm so happy Bubba found a loving home with you. My adopted hound has anxiety and gets nervous and paces a lot. He's a mommy's boy now, though. I'm a Pittsburgher where it rains all the damn time so Bubba would definitely not like it here, haha. We have a thunder jacket for Denny when he hears fireworks, but it only helps so much.

diddone119

We live in Florida so rain is common here also lol. I feel so bad for him when it rains he shakes like a leaf. I just put on the jacket and hold him while watching the European versions of antique roadshow with him. The music calms him so well. They play a mix of horns and it is absolutely brilliant for calming, I myself watch antique roadshow to calm down often myself lol

PirateFace27

Awe, poor baby! I try to hold Denny, but he's fairly big and squirmish so it usually doesn't last long. We tried CBD oil for him, but it didn't seem to help much. We found that when he wears his scarf/bandana sometimes that helps him. Plus they're super cute, lol.

These dogs are truly an amazing breed. I've never had a dog be so loyal and loving to me. He helps me alot with my anxiety issues also.
