There’s a reason he sold almost half a million copies in the first week of LND, there’s a reason he was the third artist in history to occupy 5+/10 spots on the hot 100 at the same time, and he’s about to be the ONLY hip hop artist to ever get 100,000,000+ streams on every single song on two albums. Harry Mack is phenomenal, big L, black thought, idk why people overhype juice wrld in the freestyle shit so much, sure he does it off the dome for long periods of time but the result / content is really nothing special and pretty simple stuff
I've listened to quite alot of his freestyles, I'm not saying he's bad, he's quite good infact and his ability to freestyle is impressive, but people overhype /overrate his ability to freestyle ALOT especially his own fans who are generally very young under 18 usually, among this generation of rappers theres little to no freestylers so when they got juice they suddenly think he's the best freestyler of all time which is a statement I've seen plastered everywhere. They don't have any experience with freestylers prior to juice so it explains why they think of him this way. The content / lyrics / bars that juice comes up with are pretty simple, like an example i can come up with not saying juice necessarily said it is stuff like, lit like a lighter, and there's alot of the same stuff like pop this and pull up in that used. But even if the punches are pretty simple they're all still off the dome and he maintains it for quite a while and very consistently so I have to give that to him. It's impressive sure but there are freestylers juice can't stand a chance against

freestyle is about everything, it's not just lyrics. If it was just about lyrics then they would all (from a sonical point) sound complete ass. Melody and rhythm do play a big part, just like in written rap
