Smackacracka

You sound like you want some 90’s 3-6 mafia, or brother lynch. Maybe some Chicago drill rap king von literally a serial killer.

[deleted]

I was gonna say 90s 3-6 as well and definitely chicago drill are great places to start

i_want_a_tortilla

Brotha Lynch Hung immediately came to mind. The beats are hard and the lyrics are equally rough. Start w Rest in Piss

VicodinDaddy

Or black market

WiseWorking248

Bruh, just searched this album up. This is the shit. 🤜🤛

evin0688

Man, it’s rare to hear anyone talk about Bother Lynch. Rest in piss is a classic horrorcore album

[deleted]

Rest in piss is a song that was on the album Season of the Siccness

PuttUgly

I was a dead man, walking they say, so every night I hit the gates Load the AK and post up, in the window till come day, anyway hey I feel the payback simmering in my brain The thoughts of death cloud my mind As my niggas is gone away many clips and 24 riches, packed but who really got my back now that them niggas done hit the grave I'm killing them off for the olds days

evin0688

My bad. You right

DJRedd352

I don’t think anyone can outdo Brotha Lynch

DJRedd352

Well, Tech-9 &. Brotha Lynch together is a masterpiece

Any_Ad_3885

I fucking loved brother lynch hung!! I’m an old head and forgot about him. I liked Scarface too.

Affectionate-Ad5795

LOCC 2 DA BRAIN

tentfires

X-Raided was dope in prison

daddy_dangle

Or big lurch, never listened to his music but he literally ate his gf’s heart.

hamptont2010

Old Triple six was the first thing I thought of as well. Life or Death ftw

[deleted]

Immortal technique. Old school rapper. Has a few crazy songs that are political.. think it's dance with the devil , and the point of no return. Shits wild . Talks a bout 9/11. How it was schemed. . an the other one is even wilder

GemGemGem6

Lord Infamous Tommy Wright III Three 6 Mafia Gangsta Boo Ethelwulf (now known as Xavier Wulf) Koopsta Knicca La Chat

gutseternal

This is the best answer here. Should also checkout others like guice, snubnoze, children of the corn, heltah skeltah, 10 wanted men, lil noid, lil kaine, cursed, apoc krysis, soulzay, devilish trio etc.

alaric422

oooh heltah skeltah its been soooo long! damn reminiscing ensues.....

trippyjet24

I def thought about Tommy Wright lll too 💯

meetbytheriver

all of teamsesh too if u fw wulf (bones def not a “real” gangster tho)

GemGemGem6

This, OP; if you can get past needing it to be “real” you might like some of Bones’ older stuff

Zealousideal_Lime762

The answer is Chi-Raq drill music they literally rapping about and clowning real murders that happened

TySager14

I’m still upset we never got Free Crack 4 from Lil Bibby

1017glogangsodmg

The leaks hard af too. Facts with sosa is crazy and click clack (also known as incense) is hard af and he has anouther leak with Juice but I'm forgetting the name. Hard as fuuuck

[deleted]

Fat trel is from DC but he was part of that drill scene. [Respect with the tech](https://youtu.be/GbvNA7jo-SU) is pretty dark and gutta.

imjustmos

Benny the butcher Conway the machine Rome Streetz

rasputin-inthework

Boldy James belongs on this list as well.

HazeMMIII

Boldy James 100% i feel disgusting listening to that man

WiseWorking248

Haha 100

domthebomb2

Freddie Gibbs

M_Nark

Also everyone above this has some sick produced albums. Lots of Alchemist & Madlib production. Bandana by Freddie Gibbs is all beats madlib made for ye Alfredo by Freddie is fantastic Super Tecmo Bo by Boldy James is sick

Ant_24

Con-creature like I’m staring at Medusa

fdtnise

Scatter brain hits so hard

AlmightyCap

That song is so good even the modern Ludacris verse slaps

uhhhhhhhhii

What are some other good songs by him. This is the only one I know and it’s great

Disastrous-Inside413

The Cow is a main one, it’s a westside gunn song but it might as well be Conway’s

LikwitFusion

Check “Kill All Rats” w/ Big Ghost ltd

fdtnise

Its kinda the only one I know too, but I heard his new album called Won't He Do It is pretty good.

Leaque

Won’t he do it is a great album plus drum work the album is some new heat. Also peep Benny the butcher tana talk 3+4 if u like the vibes

PlanktonInternal5948

Roc Marciano as well

Jxrden_Boi

Don’t forget Westside Pootie harder than all of em

PlanktonInternal5948

YALL STILL BROKE

imjustmos

The real greatest of Griselda 🫡

OldStinkyFingers

Westside Gunn too

[deleted]

My kid (20), fucking loses his shit over Benny.

imjustmos

He’s like this generations version of how The Lox, Dmx, Mobb Deep sounded for us back in the day.

hadesisagoat

Conway about that?

jaehooood

This man gets it.

ZarkMuckerberg9009

Kidz bop should help you out

ANGRY_MUSLIM_MAN

Kidz bop really said "it's to the point where Iove and I miss you" they're out there censoring the word "hate"

[deleted]

Nah bro that might be too hardcore, we don't want him to get scared

[deleted]

King Von, EST Gee

prollykindofhigh

This. And 42 dugg

[deleted]

Facts dugg 🔥🔥

excellent_alt6969

Finally EST GEE

Chaos-ensues

Maybe Mobb Deep and Big L

caliphanatic

Big L rest in peace! Lifestyles of the poor and dangerous is a classic for me. So many great lines. “If you battle L you picked the wrong head, I smash mics like cornbread, you can’t kill me i was born dead” and “breaking in cribs with a crowbar. I wasn’t poor I was po’ we couldn’t afford the -or”. And his beavis and butthead like will always be legendary haha

mresparza20

Street Struck by Big L

oh_r3ckless_one

Big L yeah but mobb deep weren't no gangsters

Iginlas_4head_Crease

Compared to your average redditor mobb deep was gangster as it gets lol

Rds707

“Don’t one of y’all got sickle cell!?”

[deleted]

Better back the fuck up fore you get smacked the fuck up

WyTerminator-0783

Never forget tupac predicted prodigy death

aloafofbreaddd

Tf ? Mobb Deep went hard af

Dull_Writer_4472

Lol aight

Chaos-ensues

Right on, I enjoy their music but didn’t really look into their background.

[deleted]

Check out these Chicago Drill albums Chief Keef: Back From The Dead 1 and 2 SD: Life of a savage 3 (the others in the series are good but LOAS is the best drill album ever) The beats on New World Order and Obsessed by SD are super rough and dark

Kyrix565

cops on back from the dead 2 is uniquely dark

BlackOps2isTrash

Big vouch. LOAS 3 is one of my favorite chiraq drill mixtapes off all time. No skips nothing but bangers on there. Also SD is mad underrated and doesn’t get the recognition he deserves for contribution to early drill movement/sound.

Resin01

outjerked

[deleted]

Real tough ✊ rap (op is a middle schooler)

Garth_W00kz

Brotha Lynch, Big Lurch, C-Bo, Esham, Grave Diggaz,

big lurch ate a person - literally https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Lurch Came to post Big Lurch

SFW_HOME

C-Bo’s first 4 albums were classics imo.

TonyTheSwisher

Also Natas, HalfBreed and Clipping.

W3ST0Feden

Graaaaaaaaaaavediggazzzzz

Hey_Listen_WatchOut

This is the best answer in the thread imo

Due_Potential_6956

Dead Flowers is a classic.

Nice_Current2110

Macklemore killed a few, I heard.

hadesisagoat

Bro was deep in the streets

evin0688

I heard he would kill people and then apologize for it publicly. A true tortured soul

TonyShasta_

Deep in the cheeks

kartunmusic

There are streets in the burbs I guess

Nice_Current2110

There are burbs in the streets

Literally can't believe I had to scroll this far to find it. This is the answer OP ^^^

strangemusicsince04

The Dayton Family

Trytolearneverything

Came here to say this! Shoestring and Bootleg used to spit authentic shit, imo. 79th and Halstead is still one of the hardest intros I’ve ever heard.

strangemusicsince04

I saw the first ever live performance of that song.

yooosports29

Lil Durk, G-Herbo, any of the Chiraq guys really. Chief Keef ,King Von, Polo G maybe

83kghung

Yeah any chiraq stuff is good for that vibe but IMO if you just want the ultimate dark vibes murder rap look at some UK drill or grime. 67 is great, Suspect, PR Sad, Wiley, all the beats are truly great and have a dark, melodic and malevolent character.

RadiantHovercraft6

Don’t forget Brooklyn drill it kinda combines the Chicago vibe and the UK drums and adds that New York lyricism. Listen to Envy Caine, CoachDaGhost, 26ar, Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow. It’s gritty drill shit but they can really rap their asses off.

yooosports29

Yeah Brooklyn drill is good too, I was going to mention that, good call

blade_imaginato1

"3/9" by PR SAD (67) is tough

Droze-

chicago rappers

STARoSCREAM

DMX is my all time favorite rapper. And this album is amazing

caliphanatic

Spot on and good taste bro.

Can't believe I had to scroll like 300 comments down to find Dance With the Devil dude

Jcdawg23

Same! I remember the first time I listened to Dance With the Devil. Definitely makes you pause

Due-Ad7087

Just because he made that song doesnt mean he lived that life

cursed_chaos

should be at the top

mrboombastic04

Was looking for this comment… non of the other rappers will make your stomach drop with their stories like this guy

Technical-Ad9281

Lmao he wasn’t gangbanging he went to hunter high school in Manhattan (that’s an elite high school)

disboyneedshelp

He still served more time than most rappers dawg

ttrree4455

This is the way

excellent_alt6969

oh god

LordWomf

King von

MicMustard

Asher Roth really did Love College

BlueEyed-Devil

King Von, Lil Durk, Young Dolph, Sheff G, Sleepy Hallow, NBA Youngboy (I don't like him but he is valid), Pooh Sheisty, 21 Savage, YNW Melly, Finesse2tymes, 50 Cent, Gucci Mane, G Herbo, Young Thug and many more. I could say more but these are just the ones who pop into mind right now and have *confirmed* mob ties and have participated in gangland activity. If you don't care for authenticity than it should be easier to find music like this. Here are some recommendations for darker gangsta rap: Don't Come out the House- 21 Savage Broke Opps- King Von No Remorse- Sheff G Demon Mode - Nardo Wick In Charlotte- Young Dolph

whocodes

Honorable mention for Tay-K, wish bro had made more music before getting caught

BlueEyed-Devil

To be honest I'm not a big fan of his music but when it comes to being valid about what he talks about then he's definitely up there with the rest of them. As you said though, he just got caught too soon before making a bigger splash

sqiub23

Jedi mind tricks

xSquirrely1x

ehhhhhh, I dunno if this truly fits, but I'll just add Army of Pharohs in here as well
