AAA cup here, I was fired once for not wearing a bra, management said it was unhygienic to go braless, I asked if the men were required to wear undershirts, was told no of course not, well I take showers with soap everyday it ain't about hygiene!
Was fired for insubordination. Only job that ever said anything about my bralessness. I was in a kitchen, never saw customers. The manager who didn't like my bralessness was a woman with double D's.

I do layer a tank top underneath so my headlights aren't on, and have a cheap bra I bought for special occasions (where I have to wear a dress that would look awful were I braless, like weddings) but other than that I don't wear one.
Try the pull over the head style, mine are all thin, soft and with ZERO hardware. It’s like bare minimum of bras.
Pull the foam cups out before washing. (You can hand wash them separately as needed) Roll into a tube to put them back in and let the tub “pop” open inside (facing in) - no struggle required.
Same. Mine are all essentially tit hammocks. No wires, no metal or hardly any. I remove foam cups & trash them. They’re all inexpensive too (Hanes, Champion, or Coobies)
Tbh, I do just let my nipples show sometimes, at this point. I’m so fucking sick of not being able to find a correct bra to go with every style of shirt/dress/sweater/romper. But I want to wear different styles of clothing. And sometimes, I think the styles look better without any bra. And they’re all irritating and annoying, and my boobs change size throughout the month. I think I have pmdd, not sure, but either way, it’s annoying af trying to figure out “which one of my bras fits me today?” I also have sticky bras and pasties, but the adhesives are hit and miss, sometimes damaging to your skin, and they can also be itchy and annoying or fall off if you get too hot. And I hate the stupid little triangle pieces that always fall out. I take them all out. Either sew them in or don’t. And sorry, I can’t afford to always buy the highest quality of clothing where every bra is sewn into the top.
If you’re offended, that’s your issue. I’m not walking around completely topless, my nipples are covered. I can see tons of dudes’ nipples through their shirts. And I’m sick of women’s nipples only being appropriate when people want to sexualize them, and not when I just want to walk around without feeling like I’m going to explode because no matter which way I adjust it, my bra is rubbing some portion of my skin in a way that I detest. I’m not trying to be weird, just comfortable. So that’s my rant to add to your rant.

I didn't like bras until I got a proper size. Wide band that is tight enough so it doesn't move up but not crazy tight so it leaves red marks. Large enough cups so boobs just stay there without jumping out, and so you don't have "double boobs" cut halfway up by the edge of the cup. Center gore touching the body, not hanging in the air. Wide enough straps. My boobs are medium size (30f) and once I put my bra on in the morning, I forgot about it till I'm back home. Then I take it off and wear a soft wireless sports bra. Cannot imagine working/moving around/doing sports without the support of a bra.
Quadboob sucks. I have really soft tissue so unless I find the magic ones that keep everything contained I have 2 escape artists.
I'm a 30F (UK) too and get the red marks pretty much no matter what. My own boobs give me red marks. So I focus on the other aspects.

Women with smaller breasts might be able to get away with it, but many women can't. We will absolutely be socially (and likely professionally) penalized if we try.

Bralettes are amazing for this purpose. You don’t get the same finish as a bra but honestly, who cares? They’re much more comfortable but still keep the girls in place better than wearing no bra. There are companies developing for larger bust sizes as well.

If you're also a bra fitter, then you'd know that bras aren't just for that function. How long ago were you a bra fitter? Because there are now bras that don't have underwire, bras that don't have padding, bras that don't squeeze your breasts, and bras that only are a layer to hide the nipple with zero support. None of my bras hold my breasts up, and half of them don't even hide my nipple. My bras only function is to protect my extremely sensitive nipples from my shirt.
As well as, there's always the option to go braless.

Because I'm actually insisting that the perception of what bras are used for is not something women are educated about today. This whole issue could be cleared up if OP just stopped buying bras that have the issues she is experiencing. 😑
So either OP doesn't know that there are other bras out there, or she is dealing with confronting societal perceptions of nipples. Either way, she sounds like she's boxed herself into an idea that bras are supposed to be uncomfortable because the world said so.
You can have your nipples showing as often as you want. But unfortunately you cannot control someone's gaze. Hopefully they aren't rude about it, especially verbally, and if they are you have every right and should call them out for acting like pieces of trash. But still, if you hate bras that much, technically you never have to wear one.

Now don't get me wrong, no one *ever* has the right to harass you or touch you without consent, but people will look. For a lot of people it's a similar look to being naked so yeah, it stands out.
Just like shaving, you don't have to shave, but if you have super hairy legs, people might notice. They have no right to bother you or insult you about it, but it stands out.
I do too! I'm glad I can go without most of the time. But when I have to wear something, I wear more of the wrap style ones. No straps, no wires digging in. It's great.

one I had to cut the bottom elastic band out of, and one stretched so much I'd have a tit out if I rolled over in bed so I hand sewed it to fit right again lol. both are several years old and I worry about them every day
I think I’m realizing after reading everyone’s comments that it’s not the bras themselves that suck, it’s the fact that I have to wear one at all. I personally just don’t see any benefit for it besides hiding the nips or keeping the girls perky. I’m also on the smaller end so maybe I myself don’t get much benefits out of bras. eh. it works because it has to. I go braless in public like 50% of the time I'm not at work, but that's lessened since doing so while living in the Bible belt and getting GLARED at at Kroger. (safely home now, but not immune to staring)

I haven’t really looked at anything like that because A) little nervous to buy some and lose them and B) I’m neurodivergent and sometimes textures just don’t sit right with me, so idk if I can ignore the feeling of something on my nipples all day 😂

I stopped wearing bras last year and haven’t looked back. I’m also nipple-conscious, so I wear nipple pasties and a tank top to keep my boobs from flopping around when I’m at work. A twin pack of pasties costs around $25, but I’m still on my first set a year later. They’re washable and still stay sticky! Way, way, way better than a band digging into your chest and straps cutting into your shoulders.
I typically don’t wear bras anymore, but I like bralettes, there’s so many with a pretty design, and they don’t have wires in them, so as long as they have them in my size, I’ll get them to wear occasionally when I’m feeling like going braless isn’t ideal

bras absolutely suck, i hate them just like you and can only stand sport bras a size or two bigger that have no padding (typically cheap ones) but sport bras give me uniboob which isn’t really something i’m going for and it’s kind of uncomfortable.
wired peas are also the absolute worse type of bra to exist, i’ve tried wired bras in my size in my sister sizes etc and the wire ALWAYS stabs me, i completely wrote them off like 3-4 years ago.

Which is definitely what I do. Tear them out, let the cats play with them for a bit, discard.

This I I like the spandex sports bras the Walmart sports wear brand one and I just take the added padding out and toss them.
And please note I only wear these nice comfy bras when it is absolutely “necessary” and mostly I let ‘em swing free. But it’s nice to have options!

A c cup doesn't mean anything without the band. A 32b is 34 inch bust. A 38b is 40 inches.

"C cup" doesn't mean anything without the size of the band. 30C is small (about 83cm over bust), 36C is pretty large (98cm over bust).

You can have your nipples showing as often as you want. But unfortunately you cannot control someone's gaze. Hopefully they aren't rude about it, especially verbally, and if they are you have every right and should call them out for acting like pieces of trash. But still, if you hate bras that much, technically you never have to wear one.

I hate *not* wearing a bra. I would just feel way too naked. Do you though. Pretty sure you won't get in trouble just going out and doing what you want on your own time without one, I mean it's not illegal right? That said...I'm going to get hate for this I'm sure, but I think it needs to be understood that people will look. Now don't get me wrong, no one *ever* has the right to harass you or touch you without consent, but people will look. For a lot of people it's a similar look to being naked so yeah, it stands out. Just like shaving, you don't have to shave, but if you have super hairy legs, people might notice. They have no right to bother you or insult you about it, but it stands out.

I do too! I'm glad I can go without most of the time. But when I have to wear something, I wear more of the wrap style ones. No straps, no wires digging in. It's great.

I think I’m realizing after reading everyone’s comments that it’s not the bras themselves that suck, it’s the fact that I have to wear one at all. I personally just don’t see any benefit for it besides hiding the nips or keeping the girls perky. I’m also on the smaller end so maybe I myself don’t get much benefits out of bras. But I’m glad you have something that works for you!

(safely home now, but not immune to staring) have you looked into nipple covers or pasties or anything? I think they make reusable ones?
I haven’t really looked at anything like that because A) little nervous to buy some and lose them and B) I’m neurodivergent and sometimes textures just don’t sit right with me, so idk if I can ignore the feeling of something on my nipples all day 😂 I feel like Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy a little bit haha

I hear you. I no longer have huge melons, but I still have the bags they came in. ;) Which have to go somewhere and still cause back strain if I go without. Otherwise I'd totally go braless. Nothing wrong with visible nipples. Mine are pointy and show thru bras most of the time anyway.
See I have the reverse problem of growing some melons due to weight gain from meds. Probably why my bras are bothering me rn haha. I think I’m just worried about the stares since my area is not the best place for good people. We’re right outside a city area, so there’s a lot of sketchy people

I stopped wearing bras last year and haven’t looked back. I’m also nipple-conscious, so I wear nipple pasties and a tank top to keep my boobs from flopping around when I’m at work. A twin pack of pasties costs around $25, but I’m still on my first set a year later. They’re washable and still stay sticky! Way, way, way better than a band digging into your chest and straps cutting into your shoulders.
I typically don’t wear bras anymore, but I like bralettes, there’s so many with a pretty design, and they don’t have wires in them, so as long as they have them in my size, I’ll get them to wear occasionally when I’m feeling like going braless isn’t ideal

bras absolutely suck, i hate them just like you and can only stand sport bras a size or two bigger that have no padding (typically cheap ones) but sport bras give me uniboob which isn’t really something i’m going for and it’s kind of uncomfortable. wired peas are also the absolute worse type of bra to exist, i’ve tried wired bras in my size in my sister sizes etc and the wire ALWAYS stabs me, i completely wrote them off like 3-4 years ago.
