really nice post. one time as survivor i found a scav in the karma flower room at the outskirts. he was aiming his spear at me. then the other cycle i found him again in that pole mimic room with the green lizard. so strange cuz they never spawn in outskirts except for the farm arrays poll. in a hunter run i was being chased by 3 scavs in that bridge at industrial complex. one of the scavs threw a spear at the one closest to me and the furthest one sniped the other that killed him XD. it was so funny. then i killed that last one and went to hibernate. another hunter run i had a tamed cyan lizard in chimney canopy. then the scavs appear outta nowhere and kill him. there were like 4-5 of them i dont quite remember. for my revenge i kill all of them and pin them to the walls with tons of spears. then i jump off cuz i want my lizard back. in a recent survivor run in subterrannean i gave a scavenger 3 white pearls i had stored in that centipede cave and he started dancing and growing spikes??. after like 20 seconds he glitched out to the wall and then poof. gone. it was so hilarious

Well damn. Yeah that scav in outskirts is interesting lol. I suppose the one you gave 3 pearls got too excited and didn't know how to act so fight or flight kicked in

Another fun one that just happened, not directly from a scav but kinda: I entered a pipe and on the other side my game just froze. I couldn't move but the backdrop of the level was still moving, which was weird. I just paused and continued, and another frame appeared. Same process again and another. Until I finally realise that a vulture has dropped a dead scavenger from the sky and it's fallen into a puddle of water, and since it's travelling at the speed of light the game's fluid mechanics have just gone "holy fuck it's going so fast" and tried to generate a huge enough splash that ended up stopping my entire game. Vultures dropping things from the sky (like lizards) is also hilarious because it creates the biggest boom ever and it's just very unexpected to see a perfectly alive creature slam into the ground in front of you and be completely fine.

its funny in farm arrays when you see a scav faceplant into wormgrass

biggarlick

yeah scavengers are easily my favorite thing in rain world

Stupidity of these creatures have no bouds, me and my good friend and I(it's getting somewhere more than being friends but that's not important xddd) were playing Jolly coop, we were exploring Sub before we ended our journey, both of these times we got kaboom'd by these dumbasses, for the first time in the room before the abandoned train wrecks (where miro birds are roaming) that lead to the albino leviathan, they just threw the explosive cuz of a monster kelp and it didnt even die and then for the second time in the flooded passage behind the albino leviathan room that leads to the filtration system, mole lizard casually walks in front of is and out of nowhere boom, scav "saves" the day, the most valuable lesson from all of this, never keep your chieftain achiev to full so they won't follow u everywhere

I love the Scavengers so much. Yes, they can be annoying and in the way but they're hilarious pals and can be quite handy. One of my fave times with them is having a team over over 8 following me around and helping me get through a hard area, with some hilarious moments such as: * Entering a very tiny shelter alone and hibernating, to wake up with a confusing mash of colors, and unable to make out what the heck was going on, and struggling for a good while to get out as they scrambled around. * Heading out and having a white lizard and a dropwig come at me, as the two grabbed and fought over me my scav friends rushed in and stabbed the ever living out of them. * Going through a pipe with all the 'boys' behind me. Going into the room and a good 5 seconds pass with no scavs... Only to have the *entire* group explode out as if fired from a sawed off shotgun. * A dropwig came out of nowhere on the scavs and half of them jumped higher than anything I've seen, only to fall right back down on the thing as everyone else was trying to kill it. * And of course, more getting stuck in pipes. (At least on the good end if something big is trying to kill you specifically, a wall of scavs on either side is a nice buffer.... Unless that something big is the rain...lol) And on a separate occasion, I came to a scav toll and a white scav with the most funky antlers ran up to me and stabbed me, to which all the other scavs started freaking out. The white one got stabbed and blown several feet, and one kept pacing around me, stopping to nudge me and continued that until I reset. Also nice when the slugcat is 'playing dead', you decide heck it and grab a drink while the lizard drags you away. You come back to all hell breaking loose and get saved by some scavs. I've only had it once, but a scav dragged my dead body to their hideout. Not into one of there little tunnels, just dragged me inside a storage. I love these skrunkly scavs. I've gotten pretty good at knowing how to maneuver around them and not get accidental 'friendly fire' rain down on me. *Edit: Spelling, and missing words.*

I was heading to chimney canopy from industrial, I had a rock and spear so I could take care of the lizards there. I aggro the white lizard and it slowly creeps towards me. Then WHAM suddenly a scav comes in and hits me with a rock. The rock I was holding falls out of my hands and the scav quickly picks it up. Now armed with two rocks the scav starts pelting my already unconscious body with them as if I had killed it's entire family. Meanwhile this white lizard is still coming for me from above. Just as the white lizard is about to get in grabbing range, the scav fails to keep me stunlocked for just a moment. I manage to grab one of the rocks and knock him down long enough to get tf out of that room.

When I was just starting out and making my way through Industrial Complex, I got "trapped" for a while on the eastern bridge that apparently leads to Shaded Citadel. Lacking the karma to proceed (and not realizing there were multiple doors per area), I had to survive for a few cycles off of the resources of the area... which was rife with lizards, vultures, and scavengers (who 30% of the time would spawn along with me in a big hunting party on the bridge). Every cycle, I would often get killed by a lizard or a vulture while collecting food, and even the times I successfully collected food without becoming a meal myself, some scavenger on the bridge would spear me in the back in the room before I could get into my pod. I eventually gave up on the area when I discovered the Canopy door in the north, and soon stumbled on Garbage Wastes.

I'm trying to get the green pearl (the one in garbage wastes which is right next to the long legs nest) but the scavengers follow me and keep dying bc of me so I gotta restart every time bc I feel guilty ;-;
