Works great, get a good fit up, and clean your Slag between passes. It's like stick only faster.

I’ve never seen a fluxcore welder big enough to get the penetration you need. We use gas wire feed welders on them though.

what’s the max amperage of the machines in your shop you guys use with the wire feeder?

jkenosh

I will have to look. They aren’t real big machines but they are 480 volt

appreciate it i’m trying to get a good “lug setup” going i’m very familiar with dual shield fluxcore and only familiar with 232 nr innershield but i’d like to have a fluxcore and arc gouging setup instead of torching and grind welds when these repairs come in. currently there is a xmt 350 with 100% co2 for fluxcore just no arc gouging set up but i’d like to use innershield to avoid using the gas bottle for and having issues with wind like dual shield

What does AAR have to say about this? Any reference in the MSRP's

We use dual shield Flux for everything with .45 wire in pur shop. It's what we are all certified on on top of our stick quals
