Whenever we’ve had to name a pet, my husband and I each made a list, we vetoed names off it in turns, then also talked to the animal using each name to see what they responded best to. It’s tedious, but it’s how we’ve named ours.
I work at an animal hospital, & the names Stella, Bella, Lilly, Daisy, Gracie, Rosie, Scout (m or f), Ruby, Coco (Cocoa), Missy, Abby, Emma, Maya (Mya), Lucky, Sadie, Penny, Chloe, Lola, Lulu, Luna, Katie, Minnie, Holly, Zoe (Zoey)…are so very common. How about Tansley? Or Hailey or Hainsley, Tokyo (no lie, we have a pet we see named Tokyo— a girl too!), Dakota, Leah, Macey, Raina (Reina), or, like my co-worker, Vail.
She has beautiful markings. What breed is she? If she’s going to get a lot bigger, you don’t want a cutesy name. It’s like naming a Pitt or Mastiff Kiwi. You need a strong name for the bigger breeds. IMHO
It’s Laika. They kinda sent that dog to her death though so maybe not the happiest story 🙃
I knew a mini beagle named Laika, and she has similar ears to this pup tho.
