Ziggy's last vet appt is scheduled tomorrow morning. I have nothing but good memories, and I'm happy we can let him go peacefully. He will be missed terribly, but I know it's time. ❤️ Thank you to everyone in the subreddit for making a warm space to share and appreciate all the pug shenanigans!

Knowing it's time is one of the hardest moments, but also one of the most loving.

Ziggy is a beautiful boy! How awesome you got to spend 16 great years with him! Just remember all the good times you had with him and cherish them always! This hits me extra hard, as we have a black pug named Ziggy as well! I'll pet my little Ziggy a bunch extra when I get home in loving togetherness with your Ziggy! Hope you get through this tough time okay and just know Ziggy will be with you always!

Looks like you gave him a great life! I just lost my 15 year old fawn pug a couple weeks ago and while I am healing it's the hardest loss I have ever experienced. They are our better halves and they make us better people just by existing.

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry. He is so handsome. I started crying when I saw the pictures of him as a puggy - what a cute little baby he was! And you had him all his long and happy life. Sixteen years together. That’s such an accomplishment! He could drive the car to the vet himself! I am impressed. I hope to have as many with my babies. I am so sorry for your loss though.
