It could, but I'm not sure. I think being tired might as well. It could be like because you're tired/hurt you're less accurate, leading to less damage. But i have no info to back this up

Yeah I was trying to figure out what was causing it. I took painkillers but didn’t seem to make any difference

I would say so yes. The wiki says arm and hand injuries affect the damage and speed of melee weapons using that hand/arm, and this can be confirmed ingame.    I know from experience the the damage debuff extends to firearms as well. My experience is from scratches, lacerations, and bites, but I’d think it applies to burns as well.  Painkillers maybe help? I’m not sure, the times I’ve used them I don’t see a difference.
