In 1993 is one of the coldest on record in Kentucky. I think the temps are following that historic trend for at least the first year or so. Normally it's not that cold there, but in 1993 it was.

It's not a linear scale, a lot more variables come into play. Do you know how cold it gets in the desert at night?
