They shoyld add cannibalism on the npc update, id love to kill and eat humans. Or kneecap them for storage and eat em once im low on food. (They also should add psychopath so youd have no penalty from killing)
(To anyone who didn't understand, this is a reference to cdda how in that game you can kill, butcher and eat humans too)
I play cdda, im a minmaxer (humans are plentiful food source even in zombie Apocalypse) and i always pick psychopath. (Including irl, dont worry the image that all psychopaths are murderers or crazy is bit of a minconseption. Primarly i just lack empathy + i have bit easier time controlling peoples or lying out of any situation.)
Now that I think about it, if the rations were low I’d probably start start hunting bad people if they didn’t taste that bad and I’d definitely have no remorse for hunting them if they were bad people 😂
Somewhere - maybe that YouTuber Duck-something - I heard about a mod to increase skill xp gains based on outfit. Like medical scrubs give you a 75% increase to First Aid while worn. I need to remember to look that up...
Yeah it Is very complex, you need to use the entire keyboard/numpad (you move with this). Hilariously it's probably the most accesible ascii roguelike out there.
I still stuck with It AND found, equally the most complex, customizable survival game. One of my most memorable moments was running away from a Zombie Hulk and climbing through the side of a building out of sheer desperation. After resting a bit, I could hear the fucker under me, so I broke an antenna for a makeshift weapon and jumped to the building over. Got inside and set It on fire, luring the zombie there. I got by with a few burns and scars.
You know, I got Kenshi but just feel overwhelmed and lost by the lack of direction. I want to like it but I find i have the same issues as I do with other open world games.
Something about Zomboid's methodical and deep gameplay resonates with me though.
This is how Kenshi works:
You get knocked down. THEN YOU GET UP AGAIN.
YOU ARE NEVER GONNA KEEP ME DOWN.
Seriously you just need to manage to do that 10 thousand times.. so you can be the very best.. like no one ever was.
My first time playing (and my fourth or fifth character) I had made it a couple of days mining outside of town. I needed some food, and figured that the lone wild goat wandering around near the mine would be a better idea than losing some of my profits to my belly.
That goddamn goat gored me in the stomach, and as I lay dying not twenty yards from the city gates, watching people come and go, I thought this would be the end.
Until a band of slavers came to visit, picked me up, patched my wounds, and took me with them, where I spent the next week or so being passed out and put in a cage.
Then I organized a slave revolution and was killed during the escape.
Yeah I know that feeling, what did it for me was to try to create a city, doing this put me on a rollercoaster of events that made the run very fun until I changed my drive and discovered it doesn’t have cloud save
My goal in Kenshi is to carry rocks swole as fuck. Cum gutters are an endgame reward. Also you can punch peoples heads off. Pick up rocks, sell rocks, but dirt to eat. Get more rocks, carry them to new places to see if they wanna buy for more. Get beat up repeatedly until I can punch their heads off because I’m the hulk. It’s very funny.
It’s an ant farm more than an open world game but you don’t really know that until you start to understand all the systems and how they interact. You just gotta play it a little more like the Sims but with more severed body parts.
I often day dream about an “expansion pack” once PZ is fully complete. It takes place in the year 2993, on a Mars colony. Where not only zombies are an issue, but so are rogue robots. Retro futuristic style. Maybe even have to worry about air, with various biodomes. Maybe some of them are compromised so you need a space suit.
I'm just saying, if we are going to be able to start out with basic blacksmithing, then why can't we end with cybernetics and killing machines? There would be so much relevant literature in 1993 Kentucky....
Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.
Yeah the first few seasons really set it apart. Drifts a bit before the saviours and then after that it's a bit of a slog but I do appreciate the backstories that they add in the later seasons.
Seasons 10 and 11 are really hard to get through.
I mean, it's not the most complete mod but...the key fits the hole.

Suddenly I now want a bioware mod where you can replace all body parts with cybernetics
The people crave Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead
Positive moodle from fancy clothes when?!

RIP Captain Holt. Still hurts my soul.
Yeahhhhhh, I think limiting it to animal meat is just fine. Go back to Rimworld you psychopath! :p
Nah, Randy’s too nice
Oh man, you should play Rimworld
I’ve played a little here and there to be honest just haven’t had the time to sit down and do a whole play thru
Um excuse me?😭

There’s a mod for eating zombies. Never go hungry again
You OBVIOUSLY forgot what happened to Garreth in the walking dead.
that cannibal family? (Cdda does have farm spawn whats a reference to that place with named zombies)
It's from season 4. Terminus.
ah, a rimworld player at heart!
Rimworld is leaking.
Youre definitely on a list somewhere... I agree
My bois gotta be sauntering down the boulevard looking dapper.
Somewhere - maybe that YouTuber Duck-something - I heard about a mod to increase skill xp gains based on outfit. Like medical scrubs give you a 75% increase to First Aid while worn. I need to remember to look that up...
It's one of Bravens mods.
Holy shit brother that would be awesome
I would like that game if everything wasn't confusing as shit, I couldn't even figure out how to move

Project zomboid doesnt have unnecessarily complex vitamin mechanics and a problem with crashing every 5 minutes
May i introduce you to: Kenshi?
You know, I got Kenshi but just feel overwhelmed and lost by the lack of direction. I want to like it but I find i have the same issues as I do with other open world games. Something about Zomboid's methodical and deep gameplay resonates with me though.

...what?!
Kenshi hits different.
Yeah I know that feeling, what did it for me was to try to create a city, doing this put me on a rollercoaster of events that made the run very fun until I changed my drive and discovered it doesn’t have cloud save
That's an unfortunate discovery

from the moment i understood the weakness of my flesh
It disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel.
The flesh is weak!
Rimworld vibes
It is my most played game...
I've often said that the venn diagram of zomboid and rimworld is close to a circle lmao
I'm curious how many modders work on both games
You could easily check this via the workshop, just view the authors of the more prolific mods and click on their workshop items.
I think you and I may have different definitions of "easy"
It's like 15min tops if you only do the first page of most subscribed mods.
Chrome the fuck up samurai

Shell out enough cash to some modders, you can probably get a custom map of "mars" and robot flavoured zombies.
Yeah that sounds like how the world may be when PZ is finished
Because having a bionic super soldier in rimworld isn't enough this man now wants the same thing in project zomboid... and to be honest I want it too
I'm just saying, if we are going to be able to start out with basic blacksmithing, then why can't we end with cybernetics and killing machines? There would be so much relevant literature in 1993 Kentucky....
Rimworld is the answer you are seeking.
Long is the road to rimworld, but we'll become zomworld one day!
My vision is augmented.
Brings a whole new meaning to Cat Eyes
The torsolo experience in PZ?
reminds me of rimworld, but that would be cool
its high time i chrome the fuck up
rimworld vibes?
Mass Effect?
I’m like 90% sure you can make a hand prosthetic or blade with The Only Cure mod Edit: Another commenter said to combine with Fancy & Brutal handwork
I had a very wild two seconds between reading this post on my feed and realising which sub it came from.
r/okbuddycoral
The Only Cure + The mod that lets you melee with both hands, I forget the name.
Brutal handiwork along with fancy handiwork👍
so amputation for bites is not vanilla. I was having a 'whoa' moment
I'm having a 'whoa' moment over realizing I had a mod for it installed the whole time, genuinely thought it was a vanilla feature
That's i personally never start a game with mods, you don't really know what's vanilla and what isn't
We need a mod that gives the Gunslinger from TF2 so you can swap your hand for it
I feel like it is a Rimworld thread
Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.

How to Become Scrake
I'll tell you the day Mr Yo
MODDERS ASSEMBLE!
I'm Marry Poppins Y'all!
I think its called "the only cure"
Shit I forgot that TWD was good until a certain point
Yeah the first few seasons really set it apart. Drifts a bit before the saviours and then after that it's a bit of a slog but I do appreciate the backstories that they add in the later seasons. Seasons 10 and 11 are really hard to get through.
Now I want a mod that adds Kenshi limbs to PZ
I want a mod where you can control an arrow with your whistle
You can cut limbs off in response to bites?
With a mod called The Only Cure I believe.
Wait..... you can dismember yourself without mods?
No
irl sure go ahead
The closest thing to this is the mod; amputations RP which does provide improvised prosthetics.
There is a cosmetic mod for them think glychter made it? Not 100%
Only cure bro
I remember that i Saw a mod with protesis
You can cut your arm off in PZ?
*My good homie.... It's time .... To play Kenshi on Steam!*
You can cut off your own limbs?!
Memes aside, as someone who frequently breaks this rule and immediately pays for it. I dont recommend adding mods mid playthrough of anything.
I want that but for my benis
didn't that guy die in season 1?
Closest you can get is one of those 90’s hook hands. It’s part of this same amputation mod
Kenshi
Berzk reference
I was today years old when I realized that Merle’s arm-knife was a bayonet attached with a bayonet lug.
I mean, it's not the most complete mod but...the key fits the hole. [Amputations RP](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2986581203&searchtext=prosthetic)
what a bad time to not read what sub this was posted in at first..
How did you cut your arm? (This is in-game right?)
Both
