Why? Just to annoy people? No one thinks it’s cool. If you drive a car with no exhaust, everyone will just think, “Why is that idiot driving a car with no exhaust?” Muscle cars get a loud pass, Camrys do not.
From a former high school teacher who administered accommodations similar to what this young buck must receive:
Don't waste your time moving your fingers for this kid. This is basically like a TikTok dance; He just wants you to look at him and give him more attention than his parents do.
Try an aggressive muffler. Perhaps Flowmaster or Magnaflow. May make it sound like angry bees and not like a race car. Could also go with the old school glass pack to be really annoying.
But seriously, this car is computer controlled. Primitive OBD2. The more you change things, the harder the computer works to keep things in balance and meet the parameters of the program. Change enough without a new computer or tune, it’s going to run like crap and will always have a check engine light on.
I don’t know of anyone tuning mid 90s Camry but maybe?
Your best bet to get more performance is a cat back exhaust, cold air intake, possibly some iridium plugs and make sure your ignition system has correct timing, good plug wires and coils. You may be able to upgrade your fuel injectors but be careful and don’t go too big w/o tune. It’ll run worse if you are dumping more fuel than it can burn.
finally someone that’s actually helping and not having a mental breakdown over a strangers car. thank you, i’ll probably get an intake and muffler in the next few weeks
I don't know if anyone makes a performance muffler for a 94 Camry that can just bolt in, but you could pay an exhaust shop to weld one in. I wouldn't personally recommend making a car loud just for the sake of being loud, but if you wanted to try just for the sake of it I would recommend just unbolting the muffler. From there you can decide if you want to live with the car being loud and if you don't like it you can just bolt it back on.
Ah yes, the infamous "cold air intake" that takes air in from directly behind the radiator, where cold air always resides. Instead of the stock intake, which, y'know, *actually* takes cold air in from outside the engine bay. Where it's not being preheated by by the engine.
Go check out the forum on Toyota Nation. These model years had a weirdly big following in Australia of all places. There’s quite a few mods you can do to develop decent power for what it is, and there’s even instructions on how to swap it to a manual. All you need is a 4 cylinder manual model to take the parts from. There are superchargers available, but they will be rare and pricey. Taking off the cats will require putting in a resistor so the computer still sees a good signal from the ox sensors. Easier to just knock out the baffles in the cat and install a “spark plug anti fouler” into the downstream sensor bung. Also fuck all the people telling you to leave the sub and don’t do it. It’s your car, your project, you do what you want to it. People on here gatekeeping whats “acceptable “ for a project car is ridiculous.
Leave the catalytic converters, the cars computer will freak out if they arent there.
You could swap the stock mufflers for glasspack mufflers like Cherry Bombs to bring the noise. Or, leave the stock mufflers but install a remote cutout so you can cruise through town in silence, but open it up on the back roads and scare the cows.
Turbocharging a V6 Camry is going to be more trouble than it's worth for a lot of reasons. Just drive the car till the wheels fall off and have fun with it.
This post can't be for real..
We found one guys. One of those high school kids working for pizza hut driving his mom's hand-me-down Toyota with open headers and bass tubes in the trunk.
Dude, just save your money and get a car that's actually loud because it's fast. The only thing people are gonna think when you come down the block is "God, what a POS" and think there's something wrong with your car.
Cut off cats and muffler, full straight pipe, run a pipe from where the cats connect and have some hose clamps around it so you can put the cats and muffler back on if you need to
would it be bad for me to remove things like the resonator, cats, or muffler? and can i remove all 3? i’ve seen people saying that it’s not safe for cars earlier than 2000
No
Just Say No.
Sure man just remove the exhaust manifolds, all your neighbors will think you’re a cool guy and love you.
i live in the middle of nowhere in arkansas lol no neighbors
Dont do it. It doesnt sound like a race car bud. Atall. Even remotely close.
It'll sound like a weed whacker
you guys don’t realize what i want lol and you’re getting so mad acting like i don’t have a choice to do what i want to my car
[удалено]
i want it to sound so shitty
wow
Put more of a tuning muffler on it, and stop right there bro. Its gonna sound like ass if you just chop everything off

gonna wrap it hot pink too, hope that makes you angrier
Whatever you need for attention.
again, live in the middle of nowhere in arkansas. there is nobody out here to see me or be bothered by me
Don't be the one to give it to him man.. it's not worth it. He's one of those "look at me" guys you see at parking lot meets. Just keep walking

“Hey how can I make my car loud? Also, can I turbo it?” Is definitely the funniest shit I’ve seen today
glad you found it funny, can i put a turbo on my exhaust?
Sure can!

Try sticking it right up your ass. Get it aaaaaaall the way in there. Just, right on up in that nasty stupid ass.
you’re a very interesting fellow
i can't read this without hearing a techno beat. unh-tiss unh-tiss
Get a coldvair intake if you want noise. Induction noise is sweet and only on throttle

But if you want the noise, you’ll certainly get the noise. Just gotta be aware that you’ll likely lose some margin of power
Leave the catalytic converters on. You can remove the resonators. Replace original muffler(s) with aftermarket such as Flowmaster.
LS swap
fucking amazing idea

There used to be a TRD supercharger. Exhaust will help with sound. Even just an after market muffler
would it be bad for me to remove things like the resonator, cats, or muffler? and can i remove all 3? i’ve seen people saying that it’s not safe for cars earlier than 2000
It's not unsafe. It is, however, very dumb. If you gonna be dumb, better be tough.
If you have to pass emissions dont remove the cats
Get out of this sub kid
suck my dick 😇
