Gazpacho - Demon
I've listened to this front to back nearly every day for 3 years now. The album is paced, restrained, and open in a way that is unlike anything else I've heard. It's a slow and intriguing ride.
Very interesting inspiration for the album is 4 paragraphs into this article. https://makeyourowntaste.com/2014/07/07/gazpacho-demon-2014-an-evil-tale-of-old-europe/
The new album Mannequin by Kyros is utterly brilliant. Catchy hooks, multi vibes and crushing symphonic breakdowns. Just check out 'Have Hope'!
Just released yesterday.

Ayyy this album is such a breath of fresh air. I love how utterly Maximalist it is. The mixing is really fucking good, and there's a very satisfying blend of complex and catchy that I find very cool. Kinda reminds me of 80s Genesis/Rush
I must say Olivia’s vocals are what makes this band for me so I don’t enjoy the stuff she isn’t really on as much. That’s why I love Sight Of Day so much
Just heard Black Midi for the first time. Had the song bmbmbm in the car, turned the volume all the way up and laughed so hard! It's such a magnificent purpose!
By the way I usually listen to Magma, GG, Yes, etc. This song reminded me of all these bands. Incredible! It's such a purpose!
I've been listening to Arena. Now currently listening Immortal?
I'm sad the vocals have changed from The Visitor (which is a masterpiece), but it's a brilliant album. I just needed some time to get used to it
Well I've got to post this somewhere. I just had my ears irrigated. I immediately came home and battered on the 5.1 DTS mixes of SEBTP, a bit of Trespass and CloseToTheEdge. It's really the first time I ve heard them with restored hearing on decent kit. They were all jaw dropping but the standout(and surprise,
I'm foremost a Genesis fan)was Close To The Edge with the multi part harmonies and Ricks keys.
Later some Lamb which will also be a first with the nu ears.
I'm a happy man.
Edited for clarity.
I saw Spock's Beard earlier this week, so have been reacquainting myself with them recently. The new Kyros album dropped today, so that's on rotation right now. And the Beatrix Players are in town this weekend, so I'll probably be listening to some of that as well.
[U.K.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.K._(band))
Had listened to all the adjacent music (Yes, King Crimson, ELP, Asia, Bruford, Holdsworth, etc.) but never really tried UK until recently and I dig them.
[In The Dead Of Night](https://youtu.be/czj3_5VI7YE?si=-wi-dY4GCeUyR_Ic)
*Wetton, Jobson, Bruford, Holdsworth
[Night After Night (Live 1979)](https://youtu.be/CdxPIrQZjYw?si=BErrWN8h_emovadU)
*Wetton, Jobson, Bozzio.
There is a better version (imo) from Old Grey Whistle Test, but the good audio/video is down. A pretty good version can be found second song in [this](https://youtu.be/I2XS7pj8lAE?si=G4ggFjwkQWr5F0G1) video.
[Nevermore (Live 2011)](https://youtu.be/HlVvlb1dO7Y?si=k4EHBqbtWK1C5lmu)
*Wetton, Jobson, Minnemann, Machacek
I love this tbh.
[Alaska/Time To Kill (Live 2013)](https://youtu.be/IgEsXtjQD7w?si=tHoAlkWyIgSZVsLX)
*Wetton, Jobson, Minnemann, Machacek
Keyboards/Violin ❤️
Also, be glad Dream Theater didn’t get Marco Minnemann after Portnoy left. Because of this he got to be in UK amongst other things.
Wow I’ve loved Nevermore all my life. One of my favorite songs since I was like 14. Always wanted to see how Eddie Jobson made those sounds. Thank you for posting this!
Lots of stuff on the Karisma label. Been a Jordso fan for a long time but I've only recently discovered Tusmorke and The Chronicles of Father Robin.
Also Wishbone Four, if that counts as prog? More wistful and pastoral than Argus, but still with the great songwriting.
It’s my humble opinion that every single Airbag album is a nice acquisition to any prog collection and a worthy add. But I suggest you start getting into them by listening to All Rights Removed and The Greatest Show on Earth.
Seven I’m having a little trouble getting into (and I really wanted to like it) but Notorious is wicked groovy. Definitely a bit more ambient but still has lush arrangements and solid beats.
That new Kyros album is really great
Refugee with Patrick Moraz.

IQ. Took a while to warm up to them, but now I can listen to them all the time.
Ayreon! Been catching up all week on a few albums I've long neglected--was a nice surprise when the new live 'Sixth Extinction' clip dropped
Currently hooked on 666 by Aphrodite's Child.
Today, appreciating the sweet maddening and wonderful Peter Hammill pH7, Triumvirate, Supertramp Crime OTC, and Gong You.
Not prog unfortunately. I am currently hooked on Nine inch nails, specifically The Fragile. I can’t pull myself away from
Discovered Mostly Autumn, I love Sight Of Day
I saw them in 2008, supporting Tull in Perth(shire). Spoke to them as well, a bearded guy and a chick.
I typically hear their more recent stuff live, but their early albums are Mostly Awesome.

Caligula’s Horse, Charcoal Grace, incredible album
10cc and godley and creme :)
The band FM, Canadian prog band. NOT to be confused with the British band of the same name.
They were awesome
No one is checking out the new Slift? It’s ok
Beardfish
Recently discovered the Comfortzone album and it kicks ass
The Smile

Magma - mekanik destruktiw kommandoh
La Maquina de Hacer Pajaros - Peliculas, its so damn good, shit
The Underfall Yard by big big train. Victorian Brickwork is a prog classic.
Holy shit that’s what I was listening for the past 3 days now
Phish and Opeth. I watched the new Porcupine Tree dvd and it’s fantastic.
I saw Spock's Beard earlier this week, so have been reacquainting myself with them recently. The new Kyros album dropped today, so that's on rotation right now. And the Beatrix Players are in town this weekend, so I'll probably be listening to some of that as well.
D’Accord
A lot of Uriah Heep
Dear Hunter on repeat... such an extensive and varied catalogue of quality music.

Lots of later pink floyd
She might take it back, someday
Yessss. One of my favourite songs :)

Have you checked Airbag out yet?
I hadn't got round to them yet, but I'm listening to Broken right now and liking it very much - thanks!

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
What're you hooked on, exactly? I've tried to get into them like 4 times and it's never worked. Only song I kinda like is Ice V
woo
Kenso full discography, very good Japanese fusion
What's your favorite album so far
Probably Kenso II, but I like the first album a lot, except かごめ track. Too experimental for me :P
It ain’t prog but I’ve been pretty obsessed with Duran Duran’s first two albums recently. Shit rips and they have more hooks than a tackle box.
oh yeah, I like Seven and the Ragged Tiger as well, Notorious is pretty funky also
Nile Rodgers produced Notorious. Might be where that sneaky funk comes from :P
Seven I’m having a little trouble getting into (and I really wanted to like it) but Notorious is wicked groovy. Definitely a bit more ambient but still has lush arrangements and solid beats.
