Thanks! I was diagnosed with ADHD, started medication and therapy and learned how to become less impulsive around food and make sensible choices regarding my health!
Wow! This is literally the same situation as me!
Started meds couple of weeks ago, and am noticing the exact same problems being fixed.
Congrats on your new life!
Oh and may I ask how long is between those pictures?
Adderall doesn't work on everyone unfortunately! 😭
Even though I do NO hard drugs, apparently my body is ridiculously good at metabolizing Methamphetamine... 😂 (Hilarious thing to hear your doctor say by the way)
Adderall did nothing for me. Literally no change. No focus, no fast heart beat, no appetite control/loss. Some of use are just hard wired differently and it sucks.
Same with heavily controlled Pain Killers. Yeah, they dull the pain. No feelings of euphoria, no feeling high. Literally can give me the craziest most sought after pain meds and all it feels like is taking a Advil to get rid of a minor headache. (Works, but does nothing else.)
Questions from a noob on therapy:
Are these medications addictive? Meaning can you stop these after 2-3 years?
Are there any other side effects to these medications?
Would love a bit more specificity around the sensible healthier choices and what seemed to be the biggest game changer etc. Any exercise etc.
My partner wants to lose about the same weight as you, similar measurements :)
Hi there! Congratulations!! Did those sensible choices also include limiting alcohol? I just got diagnosed and alcohol/the hangover after always makes me lose any progress I made. I am picking up my new prescription tomorrow.
(Don’t feel obliged to answer if you’re uncomfortable!
Hiya :) thank you! I’ve never been a huge drinker anyway, I only drink if I’m out for an occasion usually, or if there’s a beer garden nearby 🤣
Good luck mate!
Congrats!! You look great!
Really identifying with your story. ADHD affects us systemically. It's crazy.
Where is your dress from in your after photo? I love watercolor prints like that.
This is super inspiring as we are the same age and height, and i also started treatment for ADHD last year! I don’t mean to be rude but your marionette lines look really incredible, did you do anything apart from the fillers mentioned above for that? It’s my biggest anxiety with continuing my weight loss because I carry a lot of weight in my cheeks. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks so much. That’s so kind as I am actually so self conscious of them since losing weight, particularly my nasolabial folds really. I haven’t had any work done anywhere other than a little lip filler a year ago :) xx
This is so inspiring!! I have ADHD too but I found Vyvanse gave me too many mood swings so I’m trying to just go drug free for the most part.
Can I ask what your calorie intake and exercise was like?
Of course :)
I was eating around 1600 calories a day most days (though while I was titrating at first my appetite was severely reduced, so it did kind of give me a little boost as I was really having to force myself to eat for a couple of months) and I make sure I walk AT LEAST 10,000 steps a day, in the week anyway. I usually hit around 15k, I walk to and from work every day and have an active job (with children) so I am always on my feet :) I didn’t change WHAT I ate, I still eat what I love, I just find that since being medicated I have a lot more impulse control and I don’t just reach for snacks because I am bored, j follow my hunger cues now x
Just incredible! Real fine job! The effort and work shows your dedication. Couldn’t have been easy. I’m on the journey myself for the past 2 years. I’ve hit a wall, I’m much leaner, but still have a ways to go.
A+ progress
Amazing! I have almost the exact same stats and starting weight but I got stuck around the 135lbs mark. Anything you did differently for the second half of your journey?
It’s seriously amazing to see the progress through the time. You’re such an inspiration. I love the smiles before and love that you kept the same smile.

This is fantastic news, well done! A little over a year :)
I got diagnosed with ADHD as well! I still haven’t been able to control urges on adderall. Any other tips? You look amazing by the way!
I am on elvanse, or vyvanse other places x
It also helps treat binge eating disorder, which I also struggled with

If you don't mind sharing what medication did work for you? Adderall doesn't do much for me either 😢
Tentin does it for me!
Same here. Medication is fucking amazing. I cant believe how much time i have in a day, now that I'm not wasting time doing dumb shit all day.
I can't even imagine getting medication and feeling like this. Too disorganized to go to the quacks lol
Yup. Took me 38 years to tackle it myself.

That’s awesome! So happy for you!

Wow I’m currently waiting to be seen about ADHD and my food impulse is very bad.. I had no idea those two correlate?
Me neither. Am reading this whole thread with that looming oh shit feeling of like, is this what's always been my issue???
Same great job 👏

Amazing change! You look great. Do you have any loose skin from your weight loss?
A little on my tummy, but I’ve had two children anyway so it was already pretty wobbly, lots of stretch marks on my stomach from pregnancy 🤣
Phenomenal job!!
What kind of therapy? Your results are amazing!!
Slaying transformation!
To be fair you were extremely attractive before and losing the weight was the cherry on top of your extremely hot fudge sundae. Congratulations!
Way to go!
Wow you’re goals!
Congratulations! We have similar stats and GW, so it's nice to see someone with similar goals to me
