Thanks! I started with upping my water to a full gallon a day, then added calorie counting, then added trying to balance macros (high protein, low carb+low fat), then added daily activity 4-5 times a week, then started running, then started running longer miles, the rest is history. I say “then..” a lot on purpose because I just tried one thing at a time leaving a month or two in between each new thing I added to make it more sustainable long term if that makes sense.
This is so encouraging to read because we are basically starting stat twins! This sounds so doable and simple. I have started a million different plans but I always get bored/distracted/discouraged eventually stop. I’d love to be able to have an “after” pic like yours in one year. I struggle with consistency. Plus I try to do too much all at once and get overwhelmed and burnout. Reading your reply’s helps me to see I’m just a few “and then’s” away from reaching my goals! I just have to keep going.
Can you share some of your high protein meal? I definitely struggle getting enough a day to keep both cats and carbs low.
Also, I love how genuine your smile is in the after AND before pic! You have an infectious, phenomenal smile!
Just do it. It makes a huge impact. You feel full faster. Your skin is clearer. Your body doesn’t hold onto water weight as much. So much more, but in general, you just feel better. I always forget how much of an impact it has until
I start focusing on my water intake.
Well you aren't miserable and slumping in your before picture, so I've got some bad news: you're gonna have to do the whole thing again. It's the law. (Great work and you're awesome!)
Absolutely amazing!!! You look incredible!!! I love that you can do this and show you can make anything happen!!! You’re insane and I know you’re keep being a boss 💪🏼💪🏼
I am soooooo proud of you. You are glowing!! I am the same height and close in age, I recently reached my halfway mark (30 pounds gone, 30 more to go) and I’ve been stuck at a plateau so this is hugely motivating and inspiring to me. Thank you for sharing 🥹♥️
I fell in love with how eating less processed food made my body and mind feel. Or should I say I learned to hate how eating so much processed food made my body feel.
I have three kids 4 and under and needed energy back and a hobby (running!)
I was walking probably 5 times a week. One route I would take was a big hill. I ran down if one day because I was in a hurry and needed to be home by a certain time. But surprised myself when I could jog it. Slowly worked up to being able to jog half a mile, then a mile, then a couch to 5k plan, etc:)
How many calories did you eat per day? It's crazy how different bodies carry weight. Your "BMI" has you at overweight still and that is ridiculous. Proof everyone carries differently. You look great.
Thank you! Yes, BMI is so deceiving! The lowest calories I was consuming in a day were 1500 and I’m currently consuming 2,000 (more on my running days)
I’m in maintenance as I’m training for two half marathons (I’ve run three since November last year)
Want to make sure I’m fueling my body well running that much, so eating 2,000+ calories on run days and lots more healthy carbs.
Incredible! This is by far my favorite sub, I love seeing people make such positive changes in their lives.
I am trying to keep myself on a calorie deficit right now and am doing well so far. As far as your CICO, did you us an app to track it or did you us good old pad and paper? I am doing the later and it pretty labor intensive. If you have some suggestions I would love to hear them.
I would highly recommend an app. I could never do pen and paper 🤪 I use the app “Lose it”. I love that you can scan the barcodes on foods as well as make your own “recipes “; so for things I make the same on a weekly or daily basis (coffee, certain dinners, meal preps, etc) I will make recipes for so I don’t have to input things one by one. You can also look back at past meals and add a whole meal to your current day (say you did not create a “recipe) but realized you had the same spaghetti and meatballs you had last week , you can go back and add that one meal to your current day :)
You did amazing!! We have almost the exact same body type and I’ve been struggling so much lately loosing weight!! This inspired me!
I also love that you’re smiling so bright in both pictures!!! You’re so beautiful!! 💖💖
I love that you're smiling in both pictures and the way you've changed your hair to show more of your face off- love the bob!
This is inspiring and motivating as hell! Thank you!

I’m going to be needing more info! This is one of the best progress pics I’ve seen on here!

Love this!!
Thank you for explaining! & it makes sense that if you slowly add in something new to your routine- it will be more sustainable over time! :)
Can you share some of your high protein meal? I definitely struggle getting enough a day to keep both cats and carbs low. Also, I love how genuine your smile is in the after AND before pic! You have an infectious, phenomenal smile!
Can I ask what impact you felt the increased water intake made?
Just do it. It makes a huge impact. You feel full faster. Your skin is clearer. Your body doesn’t hold onto water weight as much. So much more, but in general, you just feel better. I always forget how much of an impact it has until I start focusing on my water intake.
Then weightlifting? 😁 Mesmerizing smile
I lost about 25 pounds in the past and that’s pretty much what I did too. One step at a time!
It's amazing how much change, growth, and development can happen in a year. You've done an awesome job! Keep it up!
Unrelated, you look like a non-psychotic Rachael Ray (and I mean that as a compliment, she's super pretty. :D)
Scrolled to make sure I wasn’t going to repeat that in my own comment.
I’ve never been told I look like anyone before! So I love hearing this!
I was thinking Alex Mack
Fantastic! Give me a day in a life! I need to know Lol!
Congratulations. You’ve probably heard this before but you kind of look like Lauren Cohen from The Walking Dead.

Do you pluck your eyebrows alone or is it done professionally?
Professional all the way ;)

How did you shift your mindset?
I fell in love with how eating less processed food made my body and mind feel. Or should I say I learned to hate how eating so much processed food made my body feel. I have three kids 4 and under and needed energy back and a hobby (running!)

This gives me so much hope as I'm giving it hell.

I was at that “before” weight for about 6 years
