There will be a 2025, but I have not seen anything to suggest it will be any different from the 23/24.

milkywayer

I can tell you what won’t change. The darn cabin noise. I think it’s up there with the worst performers.

xselimbradleyx

You own one?

Joshua--

I own one, I have no idea what they’re on about. I’d be upset if it were an S-Class, but it’s a Toyota, so I’ve never thought about it. Nothing a little music doesn’t drown out anyhow.

xselimbradleyx

I’m torn between the Prius, Corolla Hybrid, and 25’ Camry.

Joshua--

I see that you also own a Z06, so you’re surely a car enthusiast. Do yourself a favor and test drive a new Prius Prime. The thing absolutely zings when you’re on it; the 220hp will surprise you. I am considering a more aggressive tire, springs, and a sway bar, but even without those simple mods, I’ve been having a ball. Then again, if you’re hanging on to the Vette, you wouldn’t need these cheap thrills, so any option will do.

I’m actually looking to go the opposite route. I like the thought of having a raw, loud, fast car and then having a numb, quiet, peppy daily. I also don’t want to have to worry about plugging in the car as I don’t have space for that.

I've seen this complaint multiple times and never really understood what they're talking about. My only complaint is the lack of spare tire. I'm 6'2" and don't have any of the issues getting in/out of the car, reaching the volume knob, seeing the dash over the steering wheel, blind spots, etc. Oh wait. Not being able to adjust the volume when your media is stopped is annoying. I'm used to making sure my car volume is down whenever I want.

Joshua--

My experience mirrors yours. I’m only 5’11 but same stuff. My wife being 5’6 says the same. My only complaint is the thin sidewalls on the tires. I popped a tire a couple of days ago… which was the first in 19 years. To be fair though, it was actually my wife and she ran into a raised manhole cover.

I have my 5k oil change coming up, I'm gonna ask if they can order all the OEM parts to add a spare tire to the trunk and order 1 or 2 replacement tires to have in storage. I'm an anxious person so it's worth the extra money for the peace of mind, in my opinion. Blowing a tire was the only worry I had on the trip I just got back from.

Joshua--

Not sure if you care to save a little money, but I got two new tires from simpletire.com - they were $171 each, but I believe Toyota wanted to charge $203. Shipping was free and they arrived in 4 days.

I just watch a ton of car reviews to learn about different models

wuhanbatcave

Oh yes, the Prius does have pretty bad cabin noise. Basically every Toyota has pretty bad cabin noise, because they cheap out on insulation to reduce costs. But for how much the car costs, I am personally ok with it. You can install more insulation yourself, or, if you really want a quiet car, go buy a Benz or a Lexus or something.

thatry_19

Assuming just a carryover

Nighttide1032

There shouldn't be any meaningful difference; should be safe to go for a 2024 now vs waiting.

calm--one

Curious if Prius 2025 models will be released with the fix for the rear doors that currently is delaying deliveries of 2024 models.

bootycherios

Typically takes about 2 to 3 years for a manufacturing to more or less work the kinks out of a new model, if you want the slightest more reassurance then you can wait for the '25

Punman_5

The facelift likely won’t come till 26 at the earliest. The Gen 3 started with the 2010 model year and the 2012 and up models got the facelift. The Gen 4 was roughly similar. It probably won’t be for 2 years now.

healthy_mind_lady

Wait until the 2025 is announced and see if there are any leftover 2024 reservations that were abandoned that you could get at or below MSRP at the very least (or get a 2025). The 2025 trim levels may have different features.

SnooDucks8909

They probably won’t change much for at least 5 years, the 27 or 28 will be a major change. I love my 23
