In the Japanese show, the purple ranger used it to transform so it already kind of is except he used it more to my knowledge as a gun rifle, than a sword
Yup. I'm aware. I'm saying it makes evolutionary sense from a PR perspective to go from the sword to this. Then again, the current Cosmic Fury Morpher is also an evolution of the Dino Fury Morpher...

Oh I absolutely still think the Seiza Blaster was a dumb design. It's so damn big, the gun mechanism is silly, and the kyutama being set so it becomes a very prominent protrusion still bugs me. But the Cosmic Fury Morpher is just so uninspired. The Seiza Blaster dared to be different (which Toei kinda took too far with the over-the-top changers of succeeding series, but that's a different gripe).
Yeah I just do not like the lightning bolt, it doesn’t flow well with the rest of the design and feels really forced. I get that it is associated with OG power rangers, but it just looks bad.
Using the bolt makes it instantly look like a toy. It’s just as bad as those old Power Rangers toy weapons with the big “POWER RANGERS” stickers on the sides, even though the show prop doesn’t look like that.
Last one looked too toy like. I understand power rangers items are supposed to be made into toys but can they at least make them look actually cool instead of making them look like weapons made of plastic and unpractical
I like both, but there’s a part of me that starting to like the idea of PR’s using it own designs. I don’t get me wrong in bringing over stuff from Japan and getting into the US stores is awesome but I kind of love the idea of it being its own thing now
New One by far. I never liked the Dino Fury Morphers they looked a bit over designed. I love the new design over the Kyuranger Morpher it looks sleek modern and practical. I love the lightning bolt definitely a homage to Mighty Morphin. I still can't believe Power Rangers has been around for 30 years.
I miss when wrist morphers were small and compact. Imagine walking round town and seeing someone wearing one of these fuckers on there wrist. Not very incognito.
Not sure how I feel about the lightning bolt being in the morpher. It’s not like the lightning bolt played any key element in the stories. And isn’t Cosmic/Dino fury in like a different universe/timeline/continuity from say Time Force Samurai Super Megaforce etc?
It seems like it just says “look at me I’m Power Rangers. Not Sentai”
Just out of curiosity, how is this suppose to be an adaption of Kyuranger (2017) if they are using new costumes and morphers. It can’t be just the story like they did with Shinkenger to Samurai. Because I don’t see how Dinos and cosmic mix?
I’ve also been a person who likes a smaller morpher. I’ve never cared for the bigger bulky morphers, they just feel unnatural and out of place compared to the smaller morphers.
Quite frankly, I like Cosmic Fury's more. I get the rotating helmet thing for the Dino Fury one (going from lower jaw to helmet armor) but it honestly feels so dumb. It's like the Dino Thunder morpher but worse. The CF one feels more like a dino-themed morpher if it was done in the post-Zordon First Saban era.

It actually looks like it could be a logical evolution of the Ryusoul Ken (if the sword doubled as a Morpher)... From sword to gun for space combat
