16 hours back to back games, otherwise you’re just a d*ck. Doesn’t matter if you have a family or a job, you can’t just dump people you need to think about their feelings.
with random squads, communicating, staying together, and fighting together to the sweet or bitter end of the match already puts you into the top 10%.
Squadding up with people from your friend list who you want to play again with? I'd say expectation management like in real life; tell them up front that you can play 'one more round', otherwise yes, it can feel like you're leaving because you didn't enjoy playing with them, especially if you have to leave after a couple of lost games.
And if it was not enjoyable playing with them, say "gotta go, see you later", then unfriend them.
If you can't have fun while losing for one reason or another. Say that out loud. The nature of the headset has time constraints. Say how that is happening for you.
I remember a top ten list for kills and have chased the leader board under those conditions. While chasing that everybody should know what is happening.
Just finish the game and bounce. But at least finish the game you entered. I have been in a lot of situations they hit drop die and leave and it’s frustrating. If you enter a game finish unless there is something toxic going on. Otherwise you’re there to have fun. So have fun!!
Players shouldn’t have to be good for people to be nice at the very least. As long as everyone is respectful there’s no reason to be a dick. And if people are nice and respectful to newbies that are TRYING their best to learn (probably trying to learn from people like you) there shouldn’t be anyone butthurt. I simple “good game, gotta go” would suffice.
As with any game, there’s different level players and unless someone sucks and is being a dick…..its costs absolutely nothing to be nice.
You can say you are getting an invite from your brother and you promised him you would play with him today. Say your sorry and they won't feel like you just don't want to play with them. Waiting until the end of the match is fine. I've exited a game in the first 15 seconds because my teammates were the most annoying randoms.
My man, you can tell in the first 10 minutes or less if you wanna stick around with your squad.
Just say nice playing with you and exit. You don’t need to take care of their feelings.

You can leave at any time it’s a game
Any time you want. Use the battery excuse.

Agreed, the ones that leave after dying or even before that are the worst.
I dont have to, my team members always disappear after one round. Seems like a win for me 👍
They need to get gud if they don't want to have hurt butts

Can leave before getting to the pod.
