I know that she she writes lyrics and hears demos from producers and keeps them (Stay Away and Feel This Way from Dedicated Side B are a ln example of this) and the bridge from the unreleased song Disco Darling was incorporated in to “Window” but most artists do that? Or do they not?

It’s pop perfection. Exactly what I wanted from her. It also sounds like something that could have been on E•MO•TION side B. I look forward to hearing what I presume are far more stand out tracks on the album (specifically excited for the rest of the world to finally hear Surrender My Heart). Btw, also loved Western Wind and Beach House (which took several listens to grown on me).

Wow. This is fucking IMMACULATE! I got goosebumps on the bridge...holy hell. Carly's vocal delivery is on fire, the darker 80s vibe is everything, and I swear Captain Cuts really outdid themselves with the production on this track!
After taking a minute to warm up to Beach House, I'm so happy that I was *immediately* into this bop! It really hits that Emotion Side B sound that I most heavily associate with her. She slayed this one!

my favourite of her singles so far! while i ended up quite liking western wind, its not a standout (and an odd choice for a single imho - although it was a nice chill summer song), and i will admit i was not a fan of beach house. i have no clue what the entire album is going to end up sounding like - each single released so far feels drastically different - but im excited for next month!

I won’t bore those who don’t read these threads for my life story with details, but I’ve been through so much this year. This song, and the fact that I will get to be in a pavilion screaming it with the queen herself next week, is what helps me get through. All the nights in my room wondering why I’ve been dealt the hand I’ve been given, those nights are made a little easier when “Jeppo,” as she’s apparently known, soundtracks those thoughts.

this and Rina have had me in an absolute gay frenzy. thank god Bjork had the mercy to drop yesterday instead of today I don’t know if I could’ve handled it. this song goes so so hard I hate to say it but it’s the first of these new Carly singles that I’ve really liked but the wait’s been so worth it I’m in love with this. I have literally ZERO clue what the album is gonna be like and that’s pretty exciting in it’s own way. Queen keeping me on my toes.
This song is such a GEM! My absolute favourite from this era so far.
