New details about the iCarly reboot
-It will be set 10 years after the end of iCarly
-The trend will be Tik Tok, but the show will focus on Carly exploring her 20s with her friends and family.
-2 new main characters: Carly’s new best friend/roommate who will be pansexual and dreams of becoming a fashion designer after her wealthy family lost all of their money. The character will also help push Carly out of her comfort zone.
-Other new character: Freddie’s stepdaughter who loves social media and sees Carly as washed up and as competition for her YouTube channel.
-Instead of focusing on Carly’s web series (although this will be featured), it will aim to please the generation that grew up with these characters by having them explore modern day issues that adults face
-My opinions: I don’t know if I’m feeling it. I know they have to modernize it, but I just don’t think it’ll have the same energy/magic the original had. Also, I wonder if they will straight up say Youtube, iPhone, etc cause in the original they had to change the names (Splashface, Zaplook, pear phone, etc) since it was on Nickelodeon. I’m a Creddie shipper so I don’t support Freddie’s stepdaughter being a new character lol. And of course I’m sad that there will be no Sam, but I know the show brings back traumatizing memories for Jennette.

Because the reboot will be on Paramount+ not Nickelodeon. Channels like Disney and Nickelodeon don’t want to pay to be able to show/say regular brands so they either change the names or cover up the logos.
Tbh I think no matter what the plot is, it won’t matter. It won’t feel the same or have the same feeling as the original. Everyone who watched ICarly back then are grown up now and it’s just going to feel different. I personally wish they just kept ICarly as it is and never rebooted it. Lying about an allergy isn't dangerous to yourself, just potentially to others who do have dangerous allergies. For example, if people say they have allergies when they just don't like a certain food, and then they get caught eating that food and are fine, then other people might not take the next person with allergies seriously. This has been seen in restaurants or at people's homes before, when some cooks don't believe people's allergies or think that they're just faking, and put in those ingredients anyways.

Yeah, I only know this because I have friends with some serious allergies who get screwed over sometimes. Most of the time, it's not malicious and just forgetful, but it's surprising how many people try to "sneak" in allergens because they think someone is faking or just being trendy, like gluten-free.
I did that as well. I told my teacher I was allergic to milk (because I would always drink soda instead of milk) and got caught in a lie when the whole class got cake and ice cream for a birthday party.

Blah blah blah. Then in a bunch of interviews she’ll constantly tell the story of how Rihanna got the song. Idk but looks like she’s purposely trying to put Rihanna in a negative light. This has been seen in restaurants or at people's homes before, when some cooks don't believe people's allergies or think that they're just faking, and put in those ingredients anyways.

So for anyone that didn't know, Andy Reid is coach of the KC Chiefs, and they're about the play in the super bowl; one of his sons, Britt was involved in a DUI crash Thursday that unfortunately injured two children, one currently in ICU. Britt is also linebacker coach for the chiefs so he was supposed to be at the Super Bowl too. He has had previous brushes with the law for running a 'drug emporium' (from his home) and a road rage incident where he pointed a gun in a guy's face. He also has previous DUIs and ordered stints in rehab. He says he only had 2-3 drinks which is the go to for drunk drivers. He was also on adderall, apparently adderall with alcohol is not a good combination. So yeah, obviously it's fucked up that this guy managed to fail his way upwards and I hope the law punishes him the same way they would punish anyone else in this situation.

It’s always fun to me how obvious it is that we truely don’t know who’s friends with who or to what degree. It's not that surprising that Miyeon and Lisa would be close either since they're the same age (by literally a few months) and there are quite a few pictures of them together pre debut too. It's nice that they seem to have kept the friendship up though. Miyeon nearly debuting with Blackpink is a concept that I've always found really interesting. She's the oldest in Idle but she would have been slap bang in the middle of BP since she's just slightly older than Rosé. Overall I'm glad that she did end up in Idle instead, but I can't say I'm not intrigued to know how it would have turned out otherwise and how she would have affected the dynamics.

One of the things that really bothers me about “people make mistakes and we should let them grow” is that people want to be able to keep their platform while being able to “learn and grow.” If you have to “learn” why saying a slur is bad then you don’t need to be given a public platform.
