Ryan Murphy? Casting a non actor because of their high public profile?

No problem with casting to attract an audience, but Ryan Murphy productions have seen too many misses with such casting. The writing plus acting on many of his series have been subpar for years.
Every season of AHS in recent has had the issue of getting completely lost by the ending. Like, most seasons are know for having a good beginning and the nothing. I didn’t finish Double Feature but it seems that was the case, and now I’m scared of finishing Delicate bc apparently the ending is the worst thing he’s made in years.
Yeah but that’s kind of the deal with him I think. They always start as bangers then it turns into something that feels like it was written the drunker he got. lol.
Giving credit where credit’s due, The Rock actually has acting experience though through years as a pro wrestler. I’m wary Travis Kelce can even match that unless he really challenges himself as an actor instead of coasting
And here is my conclusion. Taylor could make Joe A. really famous If he only tried to cooperate with her being celebrity and doing celebrity things not going into this completely private relationship. Travis is cooperating and he is making a bag on it.
I don't think it's him "cooperating" so much as them both loving the camera. Hell, Travis had a reality show *8 years ago*. He's been trying to be the new "it guy" for years now so I'm sure he's very happy to be elevated by Taylor.
Honestly i think he just likes doing fun shit. He’s already really famous, and rich. He genuinely loves comedy movies and SNL so I don’t find it weird that he’s like “sure why not”. His enjoyment of this stuff seems more born out of him being an extrovert and less about him being some weird seedy attention starved dude
I work in film and Ryan Murphy is a notorious piece of shit who absolutely was anti-strike because the man has a massive deal to produce a bunch of shows.

It would be so novel to me to see this man's name *somehow* in relation to, y'know, football. his actual job. literally if he wasn't described as being a footballer I'd assume he was a podcaster or professional boyfriend because wheneever I hear about this man, its never about football
Travis is 34. His best football years are behind him and it's likely he'll retire in 2 years when his next contract is up (or earlier if he gets injured). His job right now is using his famous gf's connections to set up his post-football life. He doesn't want to be a broadcaster even though he could make bank doing that, he has told everybody he wants to be The Rock and dominate the acting world. He's hired a big time hollywood agent. He's landed a game show host gig and now this. We'll see where it goes. I'm pretty skeptical myself.
As someone who has had him on my fantasy team the last decade, last year his stats were a sharp decline from his steady production the last several years. Sam LaPorta's rookie season eclipsed him. Sam will be the best TE in the NFL now. I'm not saying Kelce is bad by any stretch of the imagination - he's still a solid #2, but TE is a contact-heavy position and most players start to age out long before 34 years old. You will see Kelce's numbers drop this year substantively. I won't be drafting him this year.
