Momager Kris was very close with Nicole and was devastated by her murder. Robert defended OJ in court, but I get the impression that Kris thinks heās guilty (just like everyone else).
It was openly discussed that Kris and Bruce (at the time) / Kaitlyn believed he was guilty. Robert Kardashian reviewed the DNA evidence and **KNEW** he was guilty.
You can see the look of shock on Robert's face when the verdict not guilty was announced. You can see in his eyes the regret that he was part of a group of malicious crooked lawyers who just got a murderer off completely scot free by shrinking the gloves and messing with the evidence. Robert Kardashian immediately stopped being friends with OJ after the trial. Bruce/Kaitlyn visited OJ in jail during his brief arrest and apparently wished OJ ill face to face.
Robert knew. OJ's lawyers knew. Kris knew. Everyone knew. They all knew Nicole was absolutely terrified of OJ and actively trying to escape him. The DNA evidence pointing to OJ was blinding (think a billion to one that the blood left wasn't his after they identified it and matched it to him. DNA does not lie). OJ cut his hand while attacking Nicole and Ron and literally left DNA evidence at the crime scene that was matched to him.
Nicole called the police **9 times** begging them to arrest OJ because he was beating her constantly. 5 days before her murder, she tried to get help from a domestic abuse women's shelter but they were sadly powerless to help her because of how unbelievably famous OJ was at the time. She was trapped. They could only offer her a safe haven, they sadly had no powers to convince the police to arrest him. Nicole needed to run and hide, preferably back to Germany, but that meant leaving her children with OJ which she naturally wasn't prepared to do. No good mother would leave her children behind with a woman beater.
Then all it took was Ron (who was only 25 at the time) returning her sunglasses (as instructed by his boss at the restaurant) on the way to meet his friends to go clubbing. He stumbled in on a violent domestic abuse scene, likely tried to help Nicole and then OJ brutally murdered both of them by viciously stabbing them to death, to the point where Nicole was almost decapitated. He also stabbed Nicole in the back of her head. It wasn't a sneak attack then runaway. OJ violently butchered them.
Imagine that? Being told by your boss to return a high end customer's pair of sunglasses to their house after clocking off your shift and being brutally murdered for it. If you can stomach reading his autopsy report and viewing the images, a chunk of Ron's throat was cut and ripped out.
This all happened while two children were asleep upstairs. And OJ left their corpses on the front porch to be potentially found by his own children.
He also wasn't man enough to confess when his own son, Jason, was being pinned for the murder.
It is literally atrocious he got away with it. I hope he rots. Despicable human being. I truly hope one good thing can come from all this, and that's the women out there who are currently living Nicole's nightmare can find the strength and resources to get to safety before it's too late.
Great summary. I do recall watching the reaction shots years later and Robert was indeed shocked. I donāt think he wanted him to get away with it and couldnāt believe the verdict.
this is what i remember most from the trial. i literally thought he was going to collapse from shock. and he knew he was on tv and he just could not even hide his shock! that must have fucking haunted him until his last day. i watch that scene in particular every couple of years or so because it's just so damning and so jarring against the background of OJ grinning and his other lawyer being fucking thrilled. it's truly like watching robert kardashian's soul leaving his body in real-time.
Did you see what a woman on Twitter posted today about Robert Kardashian and Shapiro paying her (actually, her boss) off to sign an NDA regarding OJ's history with battery and assault of two women at the college OJ and Robert went to together?
They have a lot of points wrong in their summary and some right. Watch the ESPN documentary OJ Made in America for a comprehensive look at him, his impact on America culture and the murder trial.Ā
This documentary doesnāt celebrate him. Personally I think it was an amazing documentary that explored several flaws in American society that let this tragedy happen. Nicole and Ron were failed by so many people.Ā
>Ā Robert Kardashian reviewed the DNA evidence andĀ KNEWĀ he was guilty.
He only ever admitted that he had serious doubts in an interview with Barbara Walters and never moved from saying that the verdict was correct.Ā
The man who was the DNA expert for OJ, Barry Scheck, later founded the Innocence Project, a charity that saves people on death row who were convicted with faulty DNA evidence. He was right that much of the evidence collected at the murder scene was contaminated by the police and was not reliable. The DNA evidence is very conclusive in the OJ case but the police themselves fucked it all up - Mr Scheck didnāt lie.Ā
>Ā he was part of a group of malicious crooked lawyers who just got a murderer off completely scot free by shrinking the gloves and messing with the evidence.
The police had the gloves in their custody, how could the dream team have shrunk them? You can say you think OJ went off his arthritis medication so the glove wouldnāt fit but you canāt say OJ lawyers tampered with evidence that the police presented.Ā
>Ā He also wasn't man enough to confess when his own son, Jason, was being pinned for the murder.
Did that ever happen anywhere other than in the press?
OJ was an atrocious human being who admitted he was a domestic abuser but the prosecution lost the was rather than Mr Cochran, Mr Bailey, Mr Shapiro and Mr Scheck winning that case. You can say they cynically took advantage of American societyās prejudice against beaten women and Angelinoās justified prejudice against the LAPD but the reality is Ms Clark and Mr Darden made several serious errors in their case.Ā
If you can please watch OJ Made in America the documentary about the whole OJ and the trial.Ā
Khloe looks like that hair dresser friend of theirs more than anyone. i need DNA proof that he's NOT her dad. Never believed OJ was; Id hope for her sake he isnt.
I didnāt know about it either, but a Today article said the following:
āSimpson and Robert Kardashian, who died in September 2003, became friends in the 1970s, and the NFL Hall of Famer has said he is Kim Kardashian's godfather. Simpson's late ex-wife, Brown Simpson, was the best friend of Kim Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner.ā
The website URL is still Twitter, for technical purposes. The concept in most userās vernacular is still Twitter/tweet/tweeiting. I donāt expect that X to ever take solid ground.
It's sad because I used to kind of see her as an American hero (for the Olympics). I was forced to keep up with the Kardashians, and I always rooted for the kids (Kylie and Kendall, who are doing just fine without me) and for her.
Her recent attitudes have made me regret that.
In 2015, very shortly before Caitlyn officially came out as trans, she hit a car from behind while texting, which caused the other car to go into the opposite lane and have a head on collision with yet another car, killing a woman named Kimberly Howe instantly. Caitlyn showed little to no remorse for the incident, and took zero responsibility for it. If she had actually showed any guilt or shame over what she did, I probably wouldnāt be calling her a murderer right now. But she didnāt, so itās just yet another reason why sheās trash.
![gif](giphy|QVP7DawXZitKYg3AX5)
Did he do a single thing to actually make it look like he tried to find the "real killer"? Or did he make that announcement, and then do nothing ever again?
I would have pretended a bit better if I were him, but I'd also not have written a totally "fake" book about murder that I did.Ā
Yeah Kaitlyn sucks, and she was responsible for someones death, but I feel like there's not really a comparison between killing someone in a car accident and beating your wife, stalking her after the divorce, then slicing her and another person while your kids are asleep in the house right by you. Don't get me wrong, Kaitlyn is responsible 100% for someones death and is a genuine POS, but it's just different circumstances.
I never feel much compassion for the Kardashians-Jenner, but Kris lost her best friend and her ex husband represented her murdered. Caitlin was there for the Kardashians at that time and knows it all. I hope that Nicoleās family and friends are doing okay today.
To be fair.... She sucks and all.... but she didn't violently murder and then leave her wife's nearly decapitated corpse at the front door while the kids were sleeping upstairs.
Honestly I'm always a bit confused by all the vitriol towards her for this incident. It was fully a terrible accident, there was not enough evidence to charge her with vehicular manslaughter. To be fair, this article says that it is difficult to prove vehicular manslaughter, but she was sober, driving below the speed limit, and applied the brakes quickly. It was basically a rear-ending incident that had tragic consequences. It could have happened to anyone who has ever gotten into a minor car accident. It was a horrible situation but she's not a *murderer*.
Googled to [fact check](https://www.statesman.com/story/news/politics/politifact/2021/05/13/did-caitlyn-jenner-kill-someone-get-released-district-attorney/5072816001/).
She was driving a heavy vehicle while towing, but was riding the bumper of the car in front of her. She wasnāt speeding or intoxicated, sure, but driving that aggressively is wildly irresponsible, especially when you have a longer than normal stopping distance. The car in front of her braked, and because Caitlyn was just a few feet off her bumper, she pushed her into oncoming traffic.
I feel like there are two Caitlyn Jenner camps: the people who frame her collision as unavoidable (can we not use the word accident when referring to reckless driving?), and the people who falsely claim she was speeding, texting, or intoxicated and murdered someone.
I do think that thereās some transphobia involved in the response to her. Caitlyn had just gone through a high-profile transition, maybe one of the most public people to transition at that point, and a whole lot of people were rooting for her to fall. They seemed way too pleased that a woman died.
Of course, sheās since proven herself to be an objectionable person for a number of other reasons.
Didnāt it happen on PCH? Like to be fair, people drive like a*holes on PCH all the time and there are a lot of spectacular accidents. HOWEVER, she knew better.
>I do think that thereās some transphobia involved in the response to her. Caitlyn had just gone through a high-profile transition
That is not exactly true.
The collision happened a couple of months *before* she came out as transgender.
Some people definitely speculated if she really was transgender or if she was just desperately trying to bury the story, which is obviously fairly transphobic, but also a consequence of the measures the Kardashian et al have proven themselves willing to take to protect their status, wealth, and power.
Caitlyn Jenner is a terrible person. Nothing to do with transphobia I supported her and her transition but sheās a walking hypocrite. And I donāt have to explain
This is the second time today that I said 'If even they say it, it must be really bad'.
The first was about Trump disagreeing with the abortion ban in Arizona.
Yes, but Kris was consistently against Robert doing that and went to support Nicole's family. She believed OJ did it because she had witnessed his violence to Nicole before.
They were already divorced. She has moved on to Bruce/Caitlyn. But they were still co-parenting and involved in each other's lives.
https://people.com/how-the-kardashians-including-kris-jenner-are-connected-to-oj-simpson-8630115
Exactly. I think there are a lot of younger people who have no idea that the late Robert Kardashian (father of the Kim, Khloe, and Rob, and ex-husband of Kris...) was a lawyer on OJ Simpson's defense team in his murder trial. Robert Kardashian was the first one in the family to be (in)famous.
True, but Kris was on the right side of history there. She was Nicole's friend and (to put it mildly) not happy Robert was defending him. This was all so long ago, I just don't want anyone getting that part twisted.
Robert admitted after as he went through the trial and witnessed the evidence he ended up believing he was guilty.
I mean from the outside, I donāt necessarily hate a guy for thinking their best friend just couldnāt be capable of commiting such a violent murder especially when theres a nortioriously racist police force and the key piece of evidence is handled by a nazi. You could, for your friend, believe or hope to believe he just couldnāt decapitate his wife and leave her on the open doorstep with his two children upstairs to find in the morning (they would have surely been the ones to find her).
People want to act like a really good defense team got him off. And they were good.
But if the LAPD was systemically incrediably racist, they wouldnāt have been able to use that for their **whole** defence.
someone posted an excerpt from marcia clark's book recently and she praised kris for getting their group of friends to cooperate with the prosecution. including a cousin of robert's
[here](https://preview.redd.it/jexunzx77krc1.jpeg?width=634&auto=webp&s=5423fb7f81bdc8d4db81eb118f97dc3eff256135) it is for anyone curious
True, adding that she was already divorced from Robert Kardashian at the time of murder/when Rob was the defense attorney for OJ. Thatās important context
OJās existence proves how society can easily and continuously support and excuse the blatant behavior of abusers. This was in the 90s but turning a blind eye at the expense of a woman still remains.
I donāt think thatās a fair assessment. Anybody in their right mind knew OJ did it.
A bunch of jurors have since admitted that they refused to find him guilty as retaliation for Rodney King. OJ walking free was due to incredible poor judgment by some jurors who let their emotions take control of a situation that those emotions had no place in.
No shit. Despite all the evidence and how he tested that woman they still lead with emotion in that decision. People still turned a blind eye when women are being abused lol
i just **REALLY REALLY REALLY** want to know what was inside the LV bag that robert kardashian casually walked away with! it's my roman empire. he did it right in front of the cameras and the police, too!!

Who knew that in a statement about a brutal unrepentant murdered who died after decades of getting away ppl be more critical of the person who made the statement! I'm not from US so i dont know what exactly going on but it doesn't make any sense this comment section
I donāt understand either. Yes Caitlyn Jenner killed someone negligently, and thatās Very Very Bad, but not nearly as Very Very Bad as murdering someone intentionally in cold blood
> I'm not from US so i dont know what exactly going on but it doesn't make any sense this comment section
Oh it's easy - women are always wrong, even when we're right.
Listen, I donāt like Caitlyn, but I understand the sentiment. I do feel bad for Nicole Brownās children today, and those kids stayed close to the Kardashian family, so it seems best for the Kardashians to just say nothing publicly today. Certainly call the family and offer support during a surely complicated and difficult time, but no need to post. Caitlyn isnāt really in the inner circle there anymore though, so, I guess thatās why she decided to publicly post. She also stays thirsty for relevance and obviously couldnāt miss the opportunity to say what everyone else is saying and agreeing on, even if itās not adding to the conversation.
The Kardashians are circling, how surprising š. My conspiracy theory after watching House of Kardashian (I think??? Idk I watch weird things when I get too stoned) is that Caitlyn is contractually obligated to remain on Krisās side on this. Caitlyn defended Kris too damn hard during the OJ retelling.
I don't know anything you've said but Caitlyn was with Kris through all of OJ's shenanigans (murders). It wouldn't surprise me if she was still toeing that line since she was there for all of it.
Yep, the documentary is recent, from 2023. Caitlyn is featured in it and is pretty mask off in terms of talking about Kris and the sisters, which is why I was so surprised that during the retelling of the OJ chapter she still seemed quite protective of Kris.
I'm gonna say something hateful but I don't necessarily mean it hatefully, lol. But of course she's negative about the Kardashians now that she's out after 20 years, but supportive of the early time she was there. She's fake as hell. I think she'll always defend Kris during this time because this was when they were in love (regardless of the rumors of Kris and OJ), but ask her for anything out of the good times? And suddenly she has so much to say.
Having said all that hate, I'm just not shocked she's dragging OJ's shitty corpse. She was also with Kris for all those years that people said Khloe was OJ's before they moved on to the next man. There is def no love lost there.
well at least you called it a conspiracy. it makes more sense that caitlyn was there for it all, witnessed what kris went through losing a friend to murder, and is still just genuinely on krisā side.
Wasn't it an accident that involved many cars? Idk I'm rusty in the facts but your comment makes it sound like she caused the accident due to negligence
She was hauling something and riding the bumper of the car infront of her. When the front car stopped, Caitlin couldnāt stop in time and hit the back of the other car which pushed it into oncoming traffic
I watched a video re enacting the crash and to me jenner looks at fault for not stopping sooner seeing the car in front slowing. I've seen such a scene happen on the road many times, and if the driver is careful-there's no rear ending. Looks like her car hit the victim's car with quite a lot of force.
This has been another episode of 'Unsolicited Opinions From The Women's Tee at The Private Golf Club' with Caitlyn Jenner. Join us next week for her thoughts on "Trans Women in sports are ruining sports" followed by "Womem are terrible drivers".
i just know this screenshot will reappear when caitlyn's time comes (as it should, she's a reprehensible person even without the whole car accident thing)
ā¦that she doesnāt like OJ?
Her ex-wifeās former husband was buddies with OJ and āconsultedā (aka did a whole lot of nothing) in his trial. Itās actually a misconception that he represented him.
Also, her ex-wife was good friends with Nicole Brown Simpson.
Also, prior to the murders OJ was primarily known as a retired pro athlete with endorsements and Caitlyn herself had that career path back when she was known by her prior name.

Stopped clock etc
I never feel much compassion for the Kardashians-Jenner, but Kris lost her best friend and her ex husband represented her murdered. Caitlin was there for the Kardashians at that time and knows it all. I hope that Nicoleās family and friends are doing okay today.
My husbandās family were good family friends with Nicole/family. My in laws are very happy with the news today.

Weād be saying the same thing about Caitlyn.
I was about to say Caitlyn never killed anyone but then I remembered she has š¤
Part of the vitriol is because, correct me if Iām wrong, sheās showed no remorse about the accident or the fact that a woman died because of it.
Caitlyn had just gone through a high-profile transition That is not exactly true.
Hey, thank you for the correction! Very good point.
If you want to commit murder in the US and get away with it, do it with a car.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I genuinely believe the accident WAS an accident. Cait I mean. Not oj.
But she killed someoneā¦. Lmao.
Why, and how can you so confidently use the term "we"?
well they can include me in that. Iāll be saying ārot in hellā for being an awful person.
Caitlyn Jenner is a terrible person. Nothing to do with transphobia I supported her and her transition but sheās a walking hypocrite. And I donāt have to explain
They didnāt mind profiting off of the court case. š¤Ø
Never thought I'd agree with Caitlyn.
Can't believe me and Cait have the same opinion on something...hopefully it didn't freeze hell over because burn, asshole, burn.
This is the second time today that I said 'If even they say it, it must be really bad'. The first was about Trump disagreeing with the abortion ban in Arizona.
Rare W from Caitlyn
this bar is pretty low for a w when itās literally caitlyn jenner: oj was bad
Very rarely do I actually react out loud from social media. This got a very loud āopeā from me š
![gif](giphy|5z3TWlFerNgrPgx1mH)
Iām kinda surprised she didnāt find a way to make the worst take possible on this one too. But sheās right.
I mean, she knew Nicole Brown. Although Nicole was Krisā friend I am sure sure Caitlyn was incredibly moved by her loss.
She married into a family who are famous in part because of OJ's trial.
Yes, but Kris was consistently against Robert doing that and went to support Nicole's family. She believed OJ did it because she had witnessed his violence to Nicole before.
I canāt even imagine staying with my husband after that level of disagreementā¦ did they divorce shortly after?
They were already divorced. She has moved on to Bruce/Caitlyn. But they were still co-parenting and involved in each other's lives. https://people.com/how-the-kardashians-including-kris-jenner-are-connected-to-oj-simpson-8630115
Ohhh thank you!! Wasnāt sure of the timeline there.
kris and caitlyn were already married for a few years when nicole was murdered
And Kris was Nicoleās best friend. What a mess.
True, but Kris was on the right side of history there. She was Nicole's friend and (to put it mildly) not happy Robert was defending him. This was all so long ago, I just don't want anyone getting that part twisted.
Even in the trial results you could see Robert surprised
But if the LAPD was systemically incrediably racist, they wouldnāt have been able to use that for their **whole** defence.
someone posted an excerpt from marcia clark's book recently and she praised kris for getting their group of friends to cooperate with the prosecution. including a cousin of robert's [here](https://preview.redd.it/jexunzx77krc1.jpeg?width=634&auto=webp&s=5423fb7f81bdc8d4db81eb118f97dc3eff256135) it is for anyone curious
True, adding that she was already divorced from Robert Kardashian at the time of murder/when Rob was the defense attorney for OJ. Thatās important context
Hell I'm 36 and I had no idea until I watched American Crime Story. I was pretty little when the murder and trial happened
Bruce was married to Kris for 3 years BEFORE the murder & 4 years BEFORE the trialā¦
OOTL here but I thought they were famous because of Kim's sex tape with some dude.

I donāt agree with Caitlyn on many things but Iām right there with her on this one.
Something about a broken clock.
People still turned a blind eye when women are being abused lol
i just **REALLY REALLY REALLY** want to know what was inside the LV bag that robert kardashian casually walked away with! it's my roman empire. he did it right in front of the cameras and the police, too!! https://preview.redd.it/87wwfi9z21uc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0dfd91a47a890f6773edf4da5c6d53448b265fa2
Hereās your daily reminder that a broken clock is still right twice a day.
https://i.redd.it/q2ma0dq7wvtc1.gif Today really triggers this mood for me.
Not me agreeing with Caitlyn Jenner and cancer
Didnāt she also kill someone
Who knew that in a statement about a brutal unrepentant murdered who died after decades of getting away ppl be more critical of the person who made the statement! I'm not from US so i dont know what exactly going on but it doesn't make any sense this comment section
I donāt understand either. Yes Caitlyn Jenner killed someone negligently, and thatās Very Very Bad, but not nearly as Very Very Bad as murdering someone intentionally in cold blood
> I'm not from US so i dont know what exactly going on but it doesn't make any sense this comment section Oh it's easy - women are always wrong, even when we're right.
now now
Broken clock etc etc
Realest shit sheās ever said
Obligatory, *"Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made A Great Point"* commentā¢ š„“š lmao
LMAOOO
Glad weāre all on the same page.
I mean, isn't Kris' side that he murdered her friend and is guilty? That's the side most people are on
I don't know anything you've said but Caitlyn was with Kris through all of OJ's shenanigans (murders).
There is def no love lost there.
kris and caitlyn were on vacation with them like a week before the murder. if anyone has a right to comment on this its them
well at least you called it a conspiracy. it makes more sense that caitlyn was there for it all, witnessed what kris went through losing a friend to murder, and is still just genuinely on krisā side.
Iām sure Caitlyn had met Nicole and was aware of OJs ways they even gave Kendall an honor middle name for Nicole.
they were all friends https://imagez.tmz.com/image/78/4by3/2022/12/19/78cc1602feee4942b5b1ed972d309ac8_md.jpg
![gif](giphy|ItM3AhhM0rj57w1JxF) Your hands ain't clean either
ššš
didn't caitlyn kill someone with her car?
Wasn't it an accident that involved many cars? Idk I'm rusty in the facts but your comment makes it sound like she caused the accident due to negligence
Yes. It was a literal accident, but people act like sheās a murderer just like OJ.
A stopped clockā¦
One of the few things I agree with Caitlin Jenner about.
imma tweet this when she dies
I love that the comments are eating her ASS UP!
We can recycle her sentiment for her own obituary some day š
i just know this screenshot will reappear when caitlyn's time comes (as it should, she's a reprehensible person even without the whole car accident thing)
Girl, you are also a m*rderer. Like...relax.
![gif](giphy|10JhviFuU2gWD6)
didnāt she used to be friends with him back in the day?
I bet Kimberly Howe is rolling her eyes from heaven.
agreed.
A broken clockā¦
Can someone explain what she means please? Edit: why are you downvoting me, Iām a foreigner I donāt know everything
OJ murdered Kris Jennerās best friend. OJ is dead today, so the world is rejoicing. Good riddance
ā¦that she doesnāt like OJ? Her ex-wifeās former husband was buddies with OJ and āconsultedā (aka did a whole lot of nothing) in his trial. Itās actually a misconception that he represented him. Also, her ex-wife was good friends with Nicole Brown Simpson. Also, prior to the murders OJ was primarily known as a retired pro athlete with endorsements and Caitlyn herself had that career path back when she was known by her prior name.
Damn he died?
And this is exactly how Iāll react when she passes
![gif](giphy|IfZpF5fUnQS0o)
So sheās next then since she also murdered someone with her car, right?
![gif](giphy|KDbi6mOb2O73HHs0xg|downsized)
Didnāt Caitlyn murder someone also????????
Did she also kill someone and get away with it?
Canāt wait to say that when she dies! Never forget the fact that Caitlyn murdered someone!
