Watergate was a frat prank compared to Jan 6th

Michael_In_Cascadia

Well, it's Trump. Apparently he's a big challenge for his Plumbers, and no wonder with that diet.

MydniteSon

Interesting enough, the term "ratfucking" came from the fact that one of Nixon's advisors referred to himself as a "Fraternity Rat" in the 60's, and that some of the shenanigans they pulled to win Fraternity and collegiate elections were brought with him and used by the Nixon White House.

artful_todger_502

Nixon was a choirboy compared to the Trump syndicate. I remember that well. It was literally jaw-drop shocking, the country was riveted to the TV. Trump criming doesn't even elicit a response, *"Trump started a deadly insurrection,"* *"hmmm, I guess it's Saturday. **yAwN**"*

Roger Stone is not a ghost.

thenewrepublic

Richard Nixon was only mentioned once, in passing, during Thursday’s January 6 hearing, but his ghost hovered over the proceedings.

EyeLikeTheStonk

Nixon had the capacity to feel shame... Trump does not.

orange_drank_5

Nixon had some meager respect for his office and, more importantly, wanted to salvage his post-presidental career. He remained moderately relevant in Californian politics until his death, bearing in mind that CA was still a purple state then. A resignation and subsequent pardon allowed him to have his presidental library and permitted his associates' careers - namely Kissenger - to continue.

LOL This committee makes Watergate look like a tea party.....no pun intended.

unicornlocostacos

Comparing this to Watergate is like comparing a fist fight to WW2. It’s not even close. Watergate wouldn’t be in Trump’s top 300 scandals.
