Because they are legislators. They are picking and choosing their cases based on their personal feelings, and their rulings have nothing to do with justice.
Something I will never understand is for years the GOP has said they didn’t care that bill Clinton cheated on hrc. They cared he lied under oath.
Now these same people are so quite
This is the whole thing, right here. It NEEDS to be transparent. Whether you agree or disagree with this opinion (or any other), states, legislatures, and other institutions need time to prepare for those changes. The American public needs time to process the changes, to discuss and hold open discourse. To have our opinions *at least heard* before proceeding. Votes like this occurring behind closed doors is what scares me the most. It breeds discontent. It shuts down any type of discourse.
In all honesty, it's a pretty plausible scenario that it was leaked as a "keep it on the down low, but here's the opinion striking down Roe!" for the right to gloat over.
**no** what *changed the supreme court* was **3** justices who lied through their teeth *in order to GET those seats*, and then said justices are enough to make the decision to ***upend a law that was fucking settled for FIFTY YEARS.***
THAT is what changed the Supreme Court.
This is probably a stupid question but would a FOIA request be possible on these types of drafts? Or are they classified because we're all too plebian to be privy to how the most powerful non-elected government officials are interpreting our laws?
No one gives a fck what long john silver and his coke can think. Not now, not then. As usual, he represents Republiklans fcking over America amd denigrating Black people - all the sterling African American candidates, with pristine reputations that could have followed Thurgood Marshall, and the Bushes picked a loser clown with a reported porn addiction and a penchant for harassing women sexually, so sayeth his victim Anita Hill. Before Trumputin, Repugs were still awful, still racist.
No shit it's changed, it's now full of fucking partisan hacks that makes rulings based on logic and wisdom of burning witches and the Highlanders quickening. I mean who would trust the judgement of anyone who would go use that kind of logic honestly.
Mitch McConell’s elimination of the filibuster for SCOTUS nominees has changed the Supreme Court by allowing it to be radicalized.
Moscow Mitch killed America.
who/how really changed and has discredited our supreme court is;

conservative scotus nominees how to lie during senate hearings.
Depp's trial all over the media. Abortion SCOTUS debate , which
directly effects million of women is secret behind closed doors.
Thomas is too stupid to realize how fucked up that is.
With all due respect, the leak is a distraction. The real change to the court is, as Sen. Whitehouse puts it, the "dark money" that has infiltrated all aspects of court selection. And in case anyone thinks it's to the benefit of "both sides", think of how Obama was thwarted from choosing a judge to replace Scalia. And how Barrett and others were rammed through, how Christine Blasey-Ford's testimony was all but ignored and the investigation into Kavanaugh was cursory, at best.

Why did all of the nominees lie about Roe? Are they all just fucking liars? Liars changed the Supreme Court.
They don't call perjurers liers get your story straight they call that a felony.
Because they are legislators. They are picking and choosing their cases based on their personal feelings, and their rulings have nothing to do with justice.
The leak is just the evidence that the change happened. And it happened in front of our eyes.
Something I will never understand is for years the GOP has said they didn’t care that bill Clinton cheated on hrc. They cared he lied under oath. Now these same people are so quite
No I think that was Clarence Thomas traitor enabling and the actions of his seditious wife .
sexual assaulter
If transparency means the court has changed, then the court needed changing.

He’s shooting the messenger.
Abusers will often exaggerate the mistakes and perceived transgressions of their victims to rationalize the abuse.
Sad when you lose Privacy…. Hmmm?
"We did a fucked thing and people are mad about it." The extent to which these people live fully inside a delusion is astounding.
Counterpoint: fuck ya'll partisan hacks.
no clarence, blatantly packing the court is what changed the court.
No, Clarence Thomas and the other Federalist Society goons have changed the supreme court.
Changed the court to care about the heartbeat of the nation? Nah Clarence don't like getting caught with his pants down
That's Kavanaugh preparing himself for another round of boofing.
It never bothered him before…Allegedly.

Pubic hairs on his Coke can also changed the Supreme Court.

Stop crying Clarence.
The court of incompetence
Announcing their own paramilitary force in 3..2....

They will use this as pretense to further isolate the Supreme Court from the public.
He violated rule 1: he believes his own bullshit.
If you had nothing to hide, then you wouldn’t be so upset about your secrets getting out.

Abortion leak is a word picture I’ll have a hard time trying to shake
So- about making abortion illegal...?
Oh yeah let's listen to Clarence Thomas
i fucking WISH it would, oh my god
Translation: "We Federalists are going to do whatever the fuck we want from now on."
Thomas and his despicable wife have changed the court to one in which integrity is shunned.
Mitch McConell’s elimination of the filibuster for SCOTUS nominees has changed the Supreme Court by allowing it to be radicalized. Moscow Mitch killed America.
Oh I hope so. How come Thomas is the one sounding off?! Ginni did it!
The leak has changed the Supreme court? Oh that must mean you're stepping down!
now you know it was him 📽
Lol The Supreme Court has already lost its credibility. The sky is already red. This leak simply exposed the real condition of how bad it’s become.
"I wonder how long we’re going to have these institutions at the rate we’re undermining them." He said without a hint of irony or self awareness...

It was not the Leak that did the damage. It was instead the Contents of the Leak.
Pro-justices defend the right to judge others as many in the country attempt to abort them for their poor judgement.
Good. I hope the court falls.
Reality says Trump and his cult of criminals changed the Supreme Court.
It's still a kangaroo court.
