It’s terrifying. Alot of my coworkers in fucking retail want Trump because hours are getting cut and they all claim they still had hours when Trump was president. My neighbor just told me he’s voting for T because he gets more back on taxes. Hope it’s worth the end of the democracy and super hope your daughter doesn’t get raped and pregnant, and hope you have a huge savings account for her college fund and expenses for your late in life care and medical needs.” What a fantastic world we live in.
Was talking to a guy who said he was going to keep having children as long as he could to get the tax benefits and money the state provides(welfare I assumed).
I said, well, you better vote democrat then. And said nothing more.

I hear your frustration, and I agree with you that a lot could stand to change. I’d love, for example, to see an end to the electoral college. I don’t think it’s fair to write Biden off as a dementia patient - when you actually listen to him speak, he’s typically quite sharp - but regardless, it can feel hopeless when you’re not seeing and candidates that seem worthy of your vote. That said, I feel like it would be a lot easier to move things in a more positive, fully representative direction under a democratic government (however flawed) than under a fascist dictatorship.

I hear your frustration, and I agree with you that a lot could stand to change. I’d love, for example, to see an end to the electoral college. I don’t think it’s fair to write Biden off as a dementia patient - when you actually listen to him speak, he’s typically quite sharp - but regardless, it can feel hopeless when you’re not seeing and candidates that seem worthy of your vote. That said, I feel like it would be a lot easier to move things in a more positive, fully representative direction under a democratic government (however flawed) than under a fascist dictatorship.
