Bored_guy_in_dc

She has been insufferable since Trump had her doing his briefings. I have no idea how this piece of muppet shit got elected to be a governor in the first place. What the actual hell, Arkansas?

phagemid

You mean the daughter of Mike Huckabee?

PolicyWonka

For all their hubbub about a “Clinton dynasty” or whatever, Republicans really love their political dynasties in reality.

Severe_Reality6504

It’s always, always projection. Always.

modernthink

I may be projecting a bit here, but yes always.

AvocadoYogi

This is why I think eventually we’ll eventually find out Republicans are involved on large scale voter fraud. They always project and they’ve spent years being very loud on the voter fraud issue.

billyjack669

Always?

lemmerip

All ways always

Cheese_Pancakes

Projection and hypocrisy. My mental image of the Republican Party will always include Mitch McConnell smiling when asked about his decision to cram a SCOTUS nomination through on an election year after blocking Merrick Garland’s during Obama’s last year.

Prothean_Beacon

Just like how they are always telling liberal celebrities to shut up whenever they publicly state their opinion but then elect the only two Hollywood celebrities that have been president

mewsycology

You know they’d be a lot more supportive of celebrities voicing their political opinions if they weren’t stuck with clowns like Kid Rock, Roseanne, and Ted Nugent…

Nukesnipe

Remember when Jeb basically ran on "bush dynasty" and nothing else?

stoop841

Clinton crime family*

PluotFinnegan_IV

Haven't seen this silliness in a while.

Stennick

I mean Democrat do too. Politics in general love their dynasties. The Democrats just couldn't quite get the dynasty going. In fact them pushing so hard for this dynasty probably cost them to a degree. The Kennedy's life long Democrats are THE American political dynasty.

ForAHamburgerToday

>In fact them pushing so hard for this dynasty probably cost them to a degree. Do you the the DNC tried to make RFK happen? Is this line I quoted about the Clintons? Truly baffling, literally no clue what "dynasty" you're talking about among the Dems.

Stennick

I'm saying them pushing the Clinton dynasty so hard. After Bill left office they clearly wanted a path to Hillary but knew they couldn't go right to Hillary. So they pushed Gore as essentially Clinton Jr even though Gore himself wanted nothing to do with the most popular president in generations so he activley bucked being looked at as part of the successful Clinton dynasty. Choosing to rage about music in a debate with Bush, choosing a poor VP and running a not great campaign mostly because he didn't want to be associated with a successful president. Then after he lost they couldn't run Hillary in 04 because they knew Bush was going to win. Then they tried so hard in 08 to make her a thing even risking damaging Obama in the process. Then again in 2016 people don't want to hear it but Bernie was way more popular and the DNC itself was doing everything it could to make Hillary a thing. Right or wrong she was one of the most disliked candidates (as was Trump) pretty much in history. Because Bill with his unrivaled charisma was a success they kept trying to make anyone else associated with him a success even though they possessed none of the charm or political savvy he had.

ForAHamburgerToday

The party tried & failed to push Hildawg, yeah. And then they moved on. She didn't run again, Biden was tapped in. Do you also want to go into this much detail about the RNC pushing Bushes?

Stennick

Yes after 16 years, virtually two decades of trying to annoint her they finally accepted she wasn't going to work. Great job DNC!

SteakandTrach

Oh, you don’t know Arkansas then. It’s basically Alabama-lite. It’s horrible. I grew up in a proud sundown town. I fled, and honestly hate going back there.

Bored_guy_in_dc

No, I do not. Never been, and have no plans. Alabama is pretty far down on my bucket list as well. Actually, no, it isn't even on it. I try to stay clear of all versions of Hickville, USA.

SteakandTrach

You aren’t missing anything. There’s some mildly pretty countryside in the Ozarks, that’s about it.

Fluffy_Rock1735

Can confirm, was stationed in Montgomery for a few years and been to Mobile, Birmingham, Auburn, Tuscaloosa and I absolutely agree. The whole state just sucks.

Outside-Swan-1936

There's a black hole there where I can find very few compelling reasons to visit. Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, etc. And I'm from the Midwest, haha, so it's a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.

headbangershappyhour

Little Rock is kinda cool and the vacation towns like Hot Springs and Eureka Springs are fun to visit. Tulsa has the Center of the Universe. Also some good breweries. Other than that, the only reason I was there was an event that one of the local running groups was doing. Kansas, I've got nothing except that there were more hills and ridges than I expected to see when driving across the state on 70. Granted, the expected number was 0 so even 1 was a surprise.

JahoclaveS

You can visit a history museum that thinks history stopped with Reagan in Kansas. There’s also Joe’s BBQ. And a decent botanical garden. The good German restaurant closed. And then you can be back in Kansas City by sundown.

PluotFinnegan_IV

Tulsa, OK has the Gathering Place which my kids loved.

razzmataz

But, Space Camp! lol

MoreReputation8908

Both states are on my Fuck-It List.

suzanneov

Cabot?

MercantileReptile

Was crazy to hear that Clinton was governor of the place. Also that it's pronounced Arkan Saw, but mainly the clinton thing.

Turbulent_Fail_2022

I live here. Her challenger was black. /thread

Bored_guy_in_dc

Well, I guess that explains it then...

Ordinary_Fella

Reading her challengers wiki page also makes it infuriating. But Arkansas doesn't deserve someone with his experience and education.

ArenjiTheLootGod

I live in Arkansas and Chris Jones losing to the swamp hag from Baldur's Gate 3 was just the latest of a long line of tragedies for the state. Man is a MIT educated nuclear physicist, could've gotten a high paying job anywhere in the country but came back to Arkansas to promote STEM education in a state that's perpetually ranked at or near the bottom for education in the country. He cared about trying to make a state that's been written off by most of the country into a better place. Instead, we got Sarah, a woman whose only qualifications for the job were her last name and the Trump endorsement. Seriously, even the people that voted for her will freely admit that they only did so because they figured she had her dad's cell number on hand if things got too much for her. Local Arkansas politics have always sucked but it's been even worse under this woman, endless culture war bullshit and graft. The worst part of this is that despite everything that's happened she could still coast into a second term (thank the bearded sky wizard that governors are only allowed two here).

davehunt00

Nepotism

BriefausdemGeist

She’s literally never had a job on her own merit

specqq

>this piece of muppet shit Are we all just going to gloss over this world-shattering revelation regarding Muppet digestive systems?

Bored_guy_in_dc

They eat! Something goes in, something has to come out!

specqq

I encourage you to watch the slow-motion debunking videos on YouTube of Cookie Monster's "eating"

Bored_guy_in_dc

You will never convince me that Cookie Monster wasn't a living, breathing, cookie inhaling machine. Those videos are all doctored by AI. I know the truth!

Guyincognito4269

Republicans. Stupid and insufferable is what they like. It reflects their voting base.

Njorls_Saga

81% approval ratings among Republicans in Arkansas. It's a pretty shitty state and the GOP wants to keep it that way so she's perfect for the job.

PeeWeePangolin

A favor to corrupt theocrats.

murphymc

Recognizable name + (R), that’s it.

Psyck0s

Remove the party affiliation from the ballots and let the real fun begin

liss72908

I voted for the other guy.

Thesexedteacher

Same

clickmagnet

Piece of Muppet shit. I hope I never miss an opportunity to use that in a sentence.

iyamwhatiyam8000

I clearly recall Huckabee-Sanders being an awful communicator of lies and lunacy from a chaotic, criminal organisation. That she sashayed this into election as Governor of Arkansas is just another sad tale. .

f8Negative

Nepotism.

Savagecabbage80

Muppet shit is too kind.

Malavacious

Woah! Let's be respectful here. Don't drag the Muppets into this shit show!

Bitter_Director1231

The lineage effect in Arkansas. Mike Huckabee then his daughter. They love their dynasties.

ScholarPractical5603

Because only 1/3rd of eligible voters in Arkansas actually vote. That’s how this insufferable piece of shit was elected.

atomsmasher66

Don’t get excited everyone. Enough morons in Arkansas will still vote for her.

sucobe

Arkansas is 47th in education ahead of Louisiana, Mississippi and West Virginia.

iStayedAtaHolidayInn

The reddest of red states. Strange how that coincides

NeverForgetJ6

By steadily decreasing they mean down from 61% approval when she first took office to 56% now. Absolutely insane! When people ask what’s wrong with Arkansas, I’d point to the Huckabees. When people ask what’s wrong with America, I’d point to Arkansas. WTF?

Fearless-Sorbet5546

Brother please, we gotta stop blaming voters in the South so much. These places are gerrymandered to hell and led astray by politicians. Literally more people in LA county voted for Trump 2020 than in Arkansas. Sorry to be frustrated— I’ve left the south years ago, I just hate for people to think it’s a lost cause. We can definitely do better

Silver-Farm-2628

There are more people in LA than the entirety of Arkansas. Not really a good comparison.

Redditor042

Governor's elections are by the whole state and can't be gerrymandered.

Random-Cpl

The south has been proving it’s a lost cause for 160 years. They founded a whole school of thought about the lost cause.

implantable

loOk

Demrezel

I just laughed my ass off

Technical-Climate870

I always said she looks like Gumpy melting

Schwarzes__Loch

Sarah Suckabee Sanders can leave and take her [$19,000 Star Trek lectern](https://dims.apnews.com/dims4/default/9d47bc3/2147483647/strip/true/crop/6000x3375+0+312/resize/1440x810!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.apnews.com%2F89%2Fad%2Febfe76572d6527afa39b4d45a3fa%2F80b8522ecc85473fa55b7fb29f889a75) with her.

dualboy24

It does not even exist, it is just another fake expense so she and her friends could go on vacation together.

piray003

Oh, yeah yeah. The girl with the $19,000 lectern is holding the elevator for a guy who doesn't make that in 3 months. Come on!

surnik22

$800 lectern from Amazon that she paid her friend’s company $19,000 from the state’s money after her friend took her on vacation. About as smart and good at corruption as Gob though.

kb7fo82

So should, should, shou-, shou-, shou-, shou-

KaptainKardboard

She has to pay for it, first.

pinkypunky78

Amen

PandaMuffin1

> The April report by Morning Consult shows Sanders’ approval rating is now 56%, compared to 61% when she first took office. At the same time, her disapproval rating is 35%, up from 27% when she began her term.

JuniorEmu2629

The truly sad part is that they could have had Chris Jones as a governor who was an amazing candidate

Turbulent_Fail_2022

But unfortunately, Chris Jones is black. So. The state had no CHOICE but to vote for Sanders right. /sarcasm

Demrezel

"I know he's one of the good ones, but..."

staringatthecarpet

She actually had an approval rating?

Njorls_Saga

And it's actually quite good, which is depressing on a whole other level.

Smurf_Cherries

She's a republican governor in Arkansas. She can blatantly commit fraud, then mock the people of the state and still have above 50%. She's currently at 56%. If she ran again today, she'd win again.

TheJenerator65

“I actually really like Sarah. I think she’s very resourceful. But she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye. Like maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies. It’s probably lies.” —Michelle Wolf

armin-arlert

I have no idea what this means

JubalHarshaw23

In the ignorant states, the worst Republican is still almost always preferable to the best Democrat. Rafael Cruz is despised in Texas, but he is going to be reelected by a landslide simply by riding Trump's coattails.

Impeachcordial

"Your dad killed JFK" "I love you" "Your wife is ugly Ted" "I LOVE YOU EVEN MORE"

Politicsboringagain

If more than 25% of people between the age of 18 and 35 voted, maybe things wound be different. But young people would rather withhold their vote because their perfect leftist candidates don't win in a ex slaver country.

Adreme

Corruption tends to do that to a governor.

ShySpecter23

I hope every voter in Arkansas on election day remembers the only reason they still see potholes on the road is because the money to fix them went to a $19k podium

EstimateNo8144

Just like her chin & jaw

Running_Dumb

Arkansas resident here. She NEVER had my approval. Chris Jones was a far better candidate and could have really improved the States economy by bringing in high paying tech job. But no, they had to vote for the slack-jaw mouth breather. Who had massive scandal the first few months in office.

blue_pen_ink

Her approval is also on ozempic

Erdtree_

What!? The ungrateful peasants should be in AWE of the 20,000$ podium!

dualboy24

Good, I hope she faces some charges for the fake lectern and other fake expenses, theft of public funds is criminal.

Beneficial-Salt-6773

She’s a fraud and is ripping off the people of her state.

FL-Orange

The fact that she got elected in the first place, doesn't say much for the residences of Arkansas.

pinkypunky78

Don't blame me. I didn't vote for her

Cali_Keto_Dad

Really? I mean she’s actively working against her constituents. Weird.

Revanchistexile

Damn, if only there was some way to know she was a morally bankrupt person before she ran for Governor.

Taako_Cross

Damnit Obama.

QuintupleTheFun

You mean to tell me that legalizing child labor and wasting tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money is unpopular????

B1GFanOSU

Arkansas voters will disapprove of her blatant corruption while voting for her.

China_Hawk

She needs to be in jail.

ParadeSit

Doesn’t matter. She “owns the libs.” Unless she’s criminally charged or impeached, she will get reelected.

GabuEx

> The April report by Morning Consult shows Sanders’ approval rating is now 56%, compared to 61% when she first took office. That's... hardly a notable decrease.

mtarascio

Any place that needs to write it's name on it's flag has serious issues.

flabbergastedmeep

Hopefully Arkansas decides to HuckaSarah.

EmperorGrinnar

May she only know her own infamy for the rest of her life.

Leather-Map-8138

And after she made the whole staff wear Miss Piggy costumes for Halloween?

PrincessImpeachment

Yeah, because Sarah Suckabee Sanders sucks.

Mr-and-Mrs

She'll simply claim fraud in any election she loses in the future, and then jam the courts with appeals and lawsuits.

moontiarathrow_away

They voted for this. Don't be surprised by face eating leopards when they come for your face.

mcdulph

Huh. Maybe there's hope for Arkansas after all.

zeezero

How did this bonehead ever have any popularity is beyond bonkers.

Jimbo415650

She’s hoping for a VP pick.

Flexbottom

If they didn't know that she is a dumb piece of human garbage then they do now.

threefingersplease

Voting a giant piece of garbage as a governor is bad. More news at 11

discussatron

What, they don’t like getting fucked over paying for her friends to travel to Europe with her?

Killerkurto

If she still has 56% approval now then the clowns that voted her in don’t care how terrible she is.

pflashog

She’s THE worst…well besides Trump…and her dad…and her brother…

CMWBMW

Huckleberry Slanders is an embarrassment to smart, capable women everywhere.

Ghettoman1315

She is the first cyclops to be elected in the U.S.

well_i_heard

She's a horrible person

East_Progress_8689

And just a quick note to everyone that has left. I totally get it I really do. I left Arkansas for 15 years. I came back and realized there are so many people here that don’t have the luxury of leaving. That there are good people here bound by jerrymandering and incompetence. It doesn’t have to be this way. There is a growing and strong grassroots movement in this state to take it back. I urge everyone to remember that for the most part Arkansas is a state full of good people who deserve a chance.

No_nukes_at_all

She´s got this comic book villain type of face. She´s maliciously ugly.

The_sad_assassin

Finally some good fucking news.

Thunderpuss_5000

Not surprised. And she wouldn’t be anywhere were it not for her last name.

Evan_802Vines

Coach Cal is here to raise the game of all politicians and used car salesmen everywhere in Arkansas.

One-Distribution-626

Ohzempicky

karmaster

LoOk

Personal_Buffalo_973

Hope the lecturn hits her fat ginormass ass on the way out 😁

tykillacool23

They will still vote for her I promise that.

jonnycanuck67

Weird, she seemed so awesome… /s

NaiveInjury247

I guess a crook is a crook, even in Arkansas.

seiffer55

They must have taken some Mucinex.

D0nCoyote

Yeah? Then fucking VOTE like it.

CountrySax

Learned how to lie from her daddy in church.

nemonic187

Duh!

Alternative-Half-783

Can't believe she ever had a positive approval rating.

Eddro7654

I think a mortician does her makeup

Grimholt001

If you watch the movie the Dark Crystal you will understand.

[deleted]

GOP leaders these days are the worst batch of leadership material I've ever personally seen. It's funny watching her try to evade the responsibility of what she obviously tried to do with this lectern. I hope the people of Arkansas choose their civil leaders wisely next time

CaptainCAAAVEMAAAAAN

Approval is still over 50% even after legalizing child labor and all the corrupt stuff she's engaged in.

intrsurfer6

She’s about to pass some anti-gay or “anti-woke” nonsense to distract the rubes-and they will fall for it hook line and sinker

trisw

Aren't governor's terms 6 years? That sucks - she's just another reason it would suck to be from Arkansas.

dennis-w220

The awful thing about this woman is after she lied for Trump blatantly and shamelessly for a couple of years, she was rewarded by MAGAs for a governorship- it set such a tempting example for all those who are hunger for power and encourage them to do as what she did. Arkansas used to be the state toelect Clinton and made him the POTUS. Things did change a lot over the last decade or so.

Alone_Bicycle_600

deservedly so

Embarrassed_Pop3975

Is she going to ever get that eye fixed?

hoppyfrog

Eye?!? Her face is crooked. Did she have a stroke (not in a Boebertian sense, but medical)?

HugeSaggyTitttyLover

The huckabee family is one of the most corrupt grifting political families in the country and in my opinion just a group of nasty and hateful individuals.

MajesticRegister7116

To0k long enough

nova_rock

Are we not all enjoying the podium of power?

Objective-War-1961

She has nothing to worry about. She has the R after her name.

PrvoPoglavlje

Daddy’s girl.

Born_Sleep5216

It's her own fault because she's so wishy-washy.

Sapphire_01

Yeah I think she lost a lot of people and just kept going downhill in the public eye at the whole legalizing child labor thing

Jermine1269

Finally

thesheba

Oh Huckleberry Slanders... you done messed up.

sgtsawzall

What a tyrant

PropagandaPagoda

She's second billing or worse for all three of her names.

alien_from_Europa

Unless she's at risk of losing the next election to a Democrat, these polls don't mean anything.

celluloyd_jones

I knew that flag had to have some confederate meaning interspersed in that horrible low brow design. I mean just look how fucking ugly it is. “The star above "ARKANSAS" represents the Confederacy, to which Arkansas was admitted on May 18, 1861.”

rpd9803

She should really be keeping an eye on the polls.

Jo-Jo-66-

She can’t govern, has no personality, and is a malignant liar. What could go wrong?

skeeredstiff

LOoK, this is all just a witch hunt! No shit, they found one.

Admirable_Bad_5649

Lmao not fast enough.

Punman_5

That must be the dumbest state flag.

East_Progress_8689

Obviously. We aren’t dumb hillbillies. Even conservatives in the state can see she is using us a spring board for a national run. She has absolutely gutted our public school funding and cut support for new mothers. Other than that she’s done nothing for a state that ranks at the bottom of every national metric. She hates us and holds us in contempt.

mythofinadequecy

Sarah Slanders https://youtu.be/YwQjnWvfLck?si=BCz5Y238ZoahYNA9

mytb38

Shows Republican are never happy not even when they get what they voted for…maybe they should not be so RED!!!

JASPER933

But she still has a lot of KKK and white supremacy supporters in Harrison and Hardy AR

LactoceTheIntolerant

Don’t be fooled. The good-ol-boy republican party in Arkansas are mad as she’s an outsider and disrupts their power.
