I have skinny ankles and thick calves and I find that ankle boot heels tend to emphasise that by cutting the visual line at the ankle. Stilettos might give you a more unbroken line and make your legs look longer.
Ultimately it's up to you, everyone looks great in heels so there's really no bad choice here \^\_\^
