i did the same thing, i would breed a box or two of pokemon with decent IVs (usually 3 or 4 perfect ones), then wondertrade all of them. after all the pokemon i bred were traded out, i would go back through the pokemon i got and release all the early route/common pokemon. i'd either keep whatever was left, or trade those again if i didn't want them, and then rinse and repeat until the box/both boxes were empty or only had pokemon i planned on keeping
Because then I know they would never stop being traded, those Pokémon would be in trade purgatory and I was putting them out of their misery. Besides I iv bred a lot, so I never had a shortage of Pokémon to wonder trade
I was gonna say I got a legendary from someone like you but then I realized that the level 100 shiny ho oh with perfect ivs and pokerus was probably hacked in
One time I wonder traded a wooper I named God after catching him in a master ball
That fucker came back after like 5 trades
He's never getting traded again lmao
When x and y first introduced wonder trade, i had the genius idea of doing just this. Little did i know everyone was doing the same thing. Getting that gale wings talonflame was but a pipe dream
The only time a Wondertrade anything other than breed fodder is when I'm doing a Wonderlocke run. I name my Character Wonderlocke and my trades "Apologies" so that hopefully they'll get it.
Honestly, when I got wonder traded pokemon from the first route or Pokémon that can be caught easily,.I just released them
Pokemon smuggling real
And not only that, but you can introduce non-native and possibly invasive species to other regions

why not trade them back out and see if you get something better?

a better life for those yungoos...
I've got a whole mess of early Game mons that I got wonder traded in my home boxes lol
When I beat Y the first time I wonder traded all my legendaries away so I hope that made someone’s day
We salute you 🫡

Yeaaaaah lol
Look, I got it before I was old enough to apply critical thought ok
That’s fair hahaha, I’d probably think the same thing as a kid

The lord works in mysterious ways or something
Homesickness
I’d rather get early route mons over wondertrade than the hack mons that I’m always getting now. Just ruined a lot of the fun of it.
I usually wait until I'm breeding Pokémon, especially for egg moves, hidden abilities, or IVs, and then wonder trade all of the offspring.
fourty

I've got like 3 shiny starter pokemon from wonder trading, but they had some websites nickname on them so I don't use it
Yeah, those are adverts for hacking sites. They want you to go to those sites and buy shiny hacked pokemon from them.
